    Stay in Indianapolis:
From April 20th to the 25th 2005 (The day before to the day After the convention.)

The Two closest hotel from the convention are the Hyatt and the Westin. They are both linked to the Convention Center by a skywalk which allows you to move back and forth easily during the day. The Marriot is also close and has a skywalk linked to the Convention Center.

The Embassy is also connected to the Convention Center by way of the mall.

Even tough we recommend that you wait for the Official Housing Bureau to open their reservation bureau, you can always check out each hotel price at their respective website.

Here you'll also find interesting place to go, see and most certainly stop by while in Indianapolis.

    Transport:

The best way to get to Indianapolis without too much stress is by air. Then from the airport to your Hotel by Taxi
    Taxi: $20 USD (x2 back and forht = $40 )
Plane: Prices vary between $300 and $500

Remember you may need to use the Taxi more than once if you plan on sightseeing and partying late.

    Food:

Convention attendee will tell you how easy it is not to eat during the course of a convention.

However you must make sure to eat at least two meals a day.

A healty Breakfast is therefore Mandatory and will get you going trough the day. Then you can have a little bag of mixed nuts and a can of pop in the middle of the day to get you going and Enjoy a very nice supper with your friends after con hours.

The Convention Center has a decent food court for grabbing a quick bite to eat and drink, and rest your weary feet. I do recall inside the Exhibit hall there were one or two ?hot dog? type vendors if you?re too busy to even leave the room. Outside of the Convention Center, In

Bringing lots of packaged foods, like granola bars and drinks sounds like a very good idea.

I personally would suggest getting there fairly early. At C2, the lines were pretty long to get in, and we had to stand for a while. They say they are trying to make entrance quicker for C3, but it still doesn't hurt to try and get there earlier in the day.

That information is to be announced later this summer.

    my guess:

    Shop.starwars.com

but the only advance tickets sold will be this summer after Comic-Con.. IF they decide to do so.

Alright stupid question: Are the events inside the convention covered by admission or is everything extra?

I don?t mean things like autographs but like Q&A?s ect.

If I remember correctly the only thing that you had to pay for extra was the orchestra show. someone can correct me if I'm wrong; I've slept since then, so it's all a little hazy.

Its not a "sticky" but is is right at the top, in a nice yellow Quick Link along with a message right at the top (also in yellow) to check the FAQ.

Edit: Oh and at the bottom of each page as well.

Nice job! Just one thing I want to add that Embassy Suites is also connected via skywalk to the convention center. It just takes a little longer because you have to cut through the mall. :)

This is a great thread-thanks for writing it. I really want to go since I missed the last two, but considering the number of people who would be going with me just because they don't want me traveling alone, my sister'd be in the middle of college finals, and she would want to go along-it is sadly a pipe dream for me. :( Plus where I live Indy is far away(and that's not my opinion). Does anyone know if the future celebrations will be in the south? I think I could get away with going to one if it was in the south eastern U.S. .

BTW, I was wondering what being a Official Fan Club memeber gets you that just buying a ticket would not?

And if there is extra stuff, say a breakfast or something, would two people be able to get in on one fan club membership? Other fan clubs I've seen, you usually get a pair of passes to most special events, but I don't want to assume anything.

    Thanks

    Doc

I'm coming with my parents (we're in VA) and this is my very first SW convention ever and I can't wait to go! I reserved my hotel room back in May (the Days Inn, one block away from the Con. Center for just $71/day) and as soon as we get our admission badges, we're getting our plane tix!

I do have a couple questions--what is the starting time and when does it close each night (if it does)? Also, are the celebs going to be there all four days?
