YAY! DM and I are now registered for CIV and have our tickets coming in April! Woo hoo! *does the happy Ewok dance* Got badges, tickets for movie marathon and shopping. Life is good.

 

Didn't you have one at the Hilton too? Or did I miscount?

 

Honestly, I don't remember. I'll get all my reservations together before the meeting and will be sure to have prices and everything else I can find.

Volunteer for the Fan Force Table Here

 

Miana & Yvette and want to do a scrapbook/photo album, as well. If everyone thinks this is a good idea, what we ask is that every Fan Force that wants to participate makes anywhere from 5-10 8.5x11 pages with pictures about their club and other little memorabilia (ticket stubs, patches, whatever). These shoot fit inside those 3-hole punched plastic slip covers. When they are finished, they can be sent to me to put into a folder that we can display on the table. This is open to every group in the Pacific Region (not just volunteers).

 

So, are you wanting anybody that's willing to make a page or two and bring it to you?

 

They can pass it direct to Rachel.

 

Just wanted everyone to know, that we ordered our tickets for CIV, finally. Yeah!!! I got confused at first, and made a mistake with mine, but finally got it right, this morning. Now we need a hotel. I know, I will wait till the meeting. I am just really excited!!!

Now I need to get a Carrie Fisher One and then enough to get Dave Prowse, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and Jeremy Bulloch to sign it also. Will also get Mark Hamill too if he's coming, oh and palps if he comes.

Though I dont know how much effort to spend on them as some of them may be at comic con.

I still have to decide who to get autographs from. It might be a good idea to check who will be at the Star Trek Grand Slam next month. Some of the actors you mentioned attend and sign there. That would take some of the pressure off C-IV autograph lines!

JM, are you and Ryan gonna try to hit up the Grand Slam this year?

 

if I can come up with money we're going to go. There's only 2 minor people from Star Wars going to be there. The woman that plays Taun Wi (sp?), RENA OWEN and WAYNE PYGRAM who was Tarkin in Ep. 3. The rest are paradise for Star Trek fans and there's going to be a few from Harry Potter. I'm hoping to go,we'd really like to as the crowds are so small, but I have property tax, house ins. and just found out a little bit ago that the bill for my car being in the shop is going to be over $1,000. Have to pay all of this in the next 2 weeks. I think now might be a good time to start playing the lottery! lol

 

Would it be weird if I took one of the legs off my electronic R2-D2 and asked Kenny Baker to sign it? R2's still one of my fav. characters. If Hamill isn't going to be there, than I'd at least want Kenny's sig. I've also heard Ray Park is friendly.

yeah!!!!! got my hotel reserved. it's 7 miles from the convention but freeway close and only cost $403.75 for FIVE NIGHTS!!! wahoooooooo! if anyone still needs to book rooms, look at going a few miles away from the convention, you'll save tons. check out the link to see what our room looks like. very modern, clean, comfortable room / hotel. free breakfast too.
