Wanted to share this article on the top 10 star wars characters who deserve solo films. Agree with it? http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2013/02/top-10-star-wars-characters-who-deserve-solo-films
Obi-Wan wasn't even on the list. Yoda would be my first pick, as far as that list goes. Ewan Mcgregor is clearly interested in doing an Obi-Wan "spin-off"/solo film. It actually happening is another matter entirely. But one can dream. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1701934/ewan-mcgregor-star-wars.jhtml
disagree with most of that - Yoda, Mace, sure, okay. Not frothing at the mouth for 'em, but yeah, ok. But Jabba? Boba? Greedo? Lando - hmm, maybe. Mara Jade - well, depends on how Disney views the EU and various things. Kenobi - yeah - preTPM years with Qui-Gon, intertrilogy years...yeah.
A post Episode III Obi Wan film would be heave sent, and the fact that Ewan McGregor is interested is so exciting omg.
I do not want to see a Boba Fett film. Fett should stay relatively mysterious, quiet, and subtle. I think a Lando/Han/Chewie film would be fun. And strangely, I want a Mon Mothma movie...
Obi-Wan and the Fett man(Isn't he getting his own show anyway?), honestly I just don't see any reason to do a solo film for any other character, Sidious would be a bad idea, we already have the Plagueis novel, which by the way is possibly the best Star Wars book ever, detailing Palpatine's life up to TPM, don't wreck Luceno's masterpiece with a film, his novel has done more for that character than any film ever could, another idea is to focus on the biggest characters outside of the saga, for example Revan, the Exile, Exar Kun and Malak could all feature in one film (or to stretch it out a trilogy) together which spans that point in time, the whole Darth Bane series could be it's own trilogy, I think there are better times we could focus on rather than ten characters we already know.

Even if someone said Jar Jar was an ewok, i'd have to agree to it more than this. Plagueis is a pathetic sniveling novel, that played to cliches and peed on the movies.
Plagueis is a masterpiece and I don't understand how you could possibly dislike it, I am literally taken aback by how ludicrously bad your reasons behind your opinion are as well. James Luceno's work is far better than the AWFUL dialogue Sidious was using during the Windu duel's climax, it is also much better set up than 'The Jedi know Palpatine is evil, but they don't know he's evil, but they do, because of the blatantly obvious dark side power radiating from him.' absolute horse manure logic that Lucas used during the prequels, oh and the whole logic of pushing Anakin who's clearly teetering on the edge as it is closer to the 'evil' guy, to spy on him, I mean honestly, the Jedi are either stupid or the plot was, take your pick. So please tell me, how could you pee on pee and make it worse?
My list would be IMHO: Qui-Gon Jinn - stubbornly defies the Jedi council, was Obi-Won's master, his arrogance makes him miss some things, he's not afraid to take an alternate couse, What's not to like!? Hans Solo - early years, after he leaves the Imperial service, and gets caught up nefarious circles, Come on it's Hans! Millennium Falcon - as a character of it's own mixed with surrounding character tales, lots of great action, different from the 2008 novel story, I have some individual ideas particular on this one!
Technically he's right: Then again I assume you know that anyway given Han and Lando's conversation about it.
Why did Greedo make the list!? Make a scoundrels movie that book that Zahn wrote about Han's oceans 11 would be great in the big screen
