Toronto Star Wars Concert - Wednesday Plans

Things for Wednesday are getting a little chaotic with two threads, so I'm going to jump in and make things a little simpler since no one else has stepped in.

• Dinner.

Members of the 501st and the Rebel Legion who are suiting up have to be ready by 7. This means that we have to push dinner earlier than we would have to otherwise, so I hope that this is alright with everyone. If making an early time won't work, please say so and let us know what time you could make. I hope that this time will be alright for everyone, since I'm assuming people would like to get to Roy Thompson Hall (just down the street) in good time to be settled.

Date: Wednesday, June 29, 2005.
Location: Armadillo Texas Grill (146 Front W Toronto, ON M5J1G2 (416) 977-8840). There is a direct link to a map from the site I have linked to.
Time: 5:00-5:15PM

I made a reservation for us under Deb but if you tell them "Star Wars" then they will know where to direct you. Alex has given me the tickets because he is no longer able to swing by the Armadillo around 6:00pm. I will have them at the dinner and will be distributing them then ($24 exactly; please bring exact change if you can because I won't have any). I have to leave to get into costume around 6:30. For anyone who is not making the dinner and has bought a ticket from Alex: I will pass the remaining tickets onto someone (to be determined) from the group. That someone will be outside the main entrance of Roy Thompson Hall from 7:30PM onwards. To make things easier for those who haven't met us all before, that person will be wearing a clone trooper helmet. This might be a little more complicated than just finding Alex, or me, but you won't be able to get inside the building to look for us without a ticket.


• Tickets.

There have been a few changes regarding the tickets that Alex purchased for the group. Some from the original list have cancelled, and others have posted regarding extra tickets. Let's help Alex rest easy by knowing that all of the tickets are accounted for.

Mike and myself are on Alex's original list, however I don't think we can do the dinner so we are rather unsure on what is going on regarding meeting people and collecting tickets etc.

If there aren't directions in the thread later, I'll probably just bug somebody on MSN that day (Aha! All on my MSN list will grow to regret it!)

Also, parking...RTH is probably expensive as heck I'm betting, so anywhere else nearby that is cheap and/or free?

Map quest will probably be a good idea, it is pretty good for showing local areas and getting directions.

Mike says parking around there is pretty expensive, but best bet is Toronto convention centre and there is also parking at the CBC building which isn't far away

 

good thing this thread got started i was confused about the day

me and TVB are still in for sure. When we go to sfx we always park in the underground parking that is just east of the outdoor park area w the workman's comp memorial, across from convention centre (mountain sculpture thing park) it's not that expensive

Okay, I was under the impression I'd be getting Deb's ticket, but looks like that may not be the case anymore.

I plan to be at dinner and did want to see the show. I guess if Alex ends up with any more free I'll take one.

 

I'm most likely an extra ticket. I'm so sorry Alex. I really can't get out of this. If no one buys the ticket I'll still pay for it on the Saturday I see you okay?

I've been having problems with the boards and my sock seems to be the only way I can post this.

I can make dinner at 5:15. I was not on Alex's original list, and I don't need a ticket because I've already bought one.
