Star Wars Concert!!!

My brother-in-law is the band teacher now at Alta High School and this year they will be performing music from Episode III. He wanted me to let everyone in the Star Wars community know that you are all invited and he thought it would be very cool if some people came in costume. It's only a couple bucks and if that's not enough to entice you, he will probably be conducting in a full Jedi costume.

He also mentioned that he could get tickets cheap for me but I'm not sure if that's just the "in advance" price or if it's cheaper. (not that $3.00 is that much money anyway)

 

Grrrr! I'd love to go but that's my wife's birthday.

 

And what a wonderful Birthday surprise it will be when you bring her along.

That would be so cool and so much fun.

 

So how many people plan on attending this? Do we want to meet someplace and go in as a group?

I plan on going, I need something fun to do on my day off.

 

I'd love to go. Is anyone gonna dress up?

 

I can do Princess Leia if anyone wants to dress up.

 

I've got an Anakin Episode 3 costume. Minus the Jedi Mullet of course.

 

I've never been to Alta so I don't know the layout. Do we want to meet someplace and then go it together?

 

That could be arranged. Let me find out if I'm able to go for sure. I live in WVC, so if we can figure something out that would be sweet. Laters!

 

I suppose I could dress up in my RotJ Luke costume if everyone else is dressing up. Are we dressing up?

Alta High School is at 11055 S 1000 E but here are some directions if we met somewhere around South Towne Mall.

Any ideas on where to meet first? If we got together early enough we could get some food before the concert. Just a thought but we have to decide soon, we're kind of running out of time. By the way, I probably wont be dressing up. I can't find all the pieces of my costume. Oh well, don't let that discourage anyone else from dressing up though.

I'm coming, I say meet before. It doesn't take me too long to get into full costume.

That was the best concert I have been to in a long time. Those kids are amazing, yes they are still kids even if they are taller than me but that's beside the point.

I'm so tempted to watch all the movies now. Wow, just wow. I don't know how else to describe it. For those who didn't make it, you sure missed out on a great show.

 

Well, I guess "yall" included only Mary and myself and we both enjoyed the show very much.

It sounded great. They were very good for a High School band. They played songs from all three prequels and they did a very good job with them. Lots of people in the orchestra even dressed up in full costumes. It was way cool.

Nuthin beats seeing a Jedi conducting an orchastra with a miniature lightsaber.

 

I loved when he took the cape off before he started.

too bad there wasn't a Maul in the audience.

 

I really wished I could have been there. Stupid work
