ah not a bad xmas...Yule. i got lots of pressies including a box full of fabric as used in The Chronicles of Riddick..so i soon will have a female necromonger costume in the works!!!

well im a freelance costumier now so got to sort out tax and stuff...thats the big thing for this year , apart from making costumes for myself!

I got mine from play.com international as its only region1 that has the extended version. It has this whole side story about Riddicks race the furions and how hes the one to bring the necros down even though he really doesnt care!!

 

I too have the extended version and it's brilliant. Far better than the normal one (which I still loved!)

The entire Furian sub-plot worked really well for me, especially considering Riddick's indifference to it all.

 

Wasn't there supposed to be a third installment in the works? I think they shelved it after the second one did poorly at the box office.

 

but it didnt bomb it actually did well at the box office. I think Vin Deisel wanted to do other stuff before coming back to Riddick. I hope so anyway as id love to see what he does after becoming lord of the Necros!

When you look at it like that, it doesn't really stand up.

 

Shame they didnt release the film in the full version at the cinema ,that you can get as dvd,its such a good story idea.
Theres been so many films that didnt do well at the box office..yet sequals are made. fingers crossed this will be one of them.

I've only seen Riddick once, so I can't really remember what happened. But didn't end up as the Necropheliacs king or something?

 

Riddick beat the necromonger overlord and as their law states, what you kill you keep. so he became the ruler. No idea what story it would take maybe delving into Riddicks Furian past, as the special edition shows that furians have some sort of power that the necros knew about and thats why they destroyed his planet first.
