    Hi everyone,

Ok about time I started a thread. Anyways,

I've been down to No. 1 Costume just this evening and was dissapointed with what they have.

Kinna decided to make my own. Rushing it for the Charity Premier on Monday, May 16th. I need all the help I can get, looking to get help especially from the cosplayers.

I've pretty much secured a decent robe, I need help in the tunic, belt and boots, Anybody?

Things like where I can actually get a decent fabric for the tunic, where in Singapore can buy similiar looking boots that sort of stuff

For general Costume Write-up, go to Obi-Wan Jedi Academy under Costume Help I think. Sorry that I can't provide the direct link to Luke's page as my PC can't seems to upload the page properly since eons ago. :(

For the Boots, try D'equestrian Paradise Singapore Pte Limited:
    No. 6 Tagore Drive,
    #01-05,
    Tagore Industrial Building,
    Singapore 787623

But since the Horse Riding Boots don't come cheap, may want to get a high cut plain black boots instead and do a Boot Wrap/Spats(?) to give the look of a high cut boots.

For cloak, well the easiest way is to just do a Full circle cloak using 2 semi-circles and add the hood which is kinda a rectangle with rounded end I think.

Cloth wise, if you had been to No. 1 Costume Costume, then you would had walked past Arab Street. ;) Check out the Chinese shops for materials you can use for your Luke. Try to go for something that looks wool like Polyester Suiting (without the lines or use the wrong side) or Cotton/Linen/Polyester/Wool Mix.

The other place to get cloths is Queens Street. It's behind Bugis Village on the 3rd Level of that Hawkers Centre Building. ;)

Want a Semi-Ghetto ROTJ Tatooine Luke? :p Get a Black Turtleneck Long Sleeves T-Shirt, Black Pants, Combat Boots, Belt, Tabbards and Black Cloak plus Blonde Wig. That is what I am planning to do if there is a need. ;)

    Here we go.

I called up D'Equestrian a few days ago. Their operating hours are 9.30am - 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. For knee-high boots, synthetic rubber boots (for polo) cost $110. This is the only type that comes in brown. Synthetic leather boots (backzip) cost $148, and leather boots are $240. Not sure about the latter two, though - I'm depending on my memory here. :p

The cloth shops at Bugis are those that moved from People's Park. They're on the 3rd floor of Albert Complex, near Fu Lu Shou and OG. Short walk from Bugis MRT station.

    Good luck ;)

    Hey Claire and Eagle,

Thanks for all the help! In the end, had to do everything like super last min, hence settled for Spotlight for fabric, not very satisfied with the ones I've got. Think it'll look too light and thin. =((

But what the hell, it's already with the tailors, gosh getting a tailor to even take on the task is hard enough, Spent an entire hour explain to the lady. Hope she knows what I want. =/ Only for me to find one shop in Queensway Shopping Centre today. Apparently they sort of specialise in costumes. Hell even the grandsons of Mr Wee (the big man who owns UOB Bank) goes to this guy. But he's costly though. $350 is his "standard price" That means, $350 just to get the Jedi Cloak done, and another to get the tunic and the rest done. He will however source farbic for you. And he needs about 2 weeks. Extra info for any cos-players in here.

Bought a pair of leather boots from this shop in Queensway, Not knee high, but high enough I guess, given the circumstances. Oh well some of you would see it on Monday.

Anyways, anyone know where I can get a pair of black plain leather gloves? Left that on my list. I'm looking for it to be pretty high up in the arm, like half way up the wrist area. Anyone know any good sources?

All and any help is very much appreciated!

    Cheers

If it's that Girlish fellow Roy, STAY AWAY FROM HIS SHOP as he's a kinda cheater. Some of the cosplayers had complained against him while the Star Trek group had blacklisted him for poor workmanship and keep postponing the completion date of their costume.

As long as it's not a Gauntlet Gloves (like Vader's or Maul), just go to Army Market and look around for the Black Thin Leather Glove. I gotten one for around SGD10. Or you can wear a Satin Glove, gotten either from Arab Street or this shop at People's Park Complex #02-52 (near the toilet I heard from Leah)

Actually I was thinking of Guanlet Gloves, know where I can get those?

Those in Army Market, how high are those? The normal gloves' length?

I'm hoping to tuck my sleeve into the gloves you see, so need a high one.

    =p
