STAR WARS: DARTH VADER & THE GHOST PRISON #1 The graduation celebration for the first class of Imperial cadets is disrupted by a sudden terrorist strike! But the real targets of the attack are the new Emperor and his second in command, Darth Vader. Only one man ? a disabled, brilliant cadet who, up until the moment of the attack, was experiencing the best moment of his life ? stands ready to fight alongside Vader for the life of their Emperor! I don't care about the comic but, ye gods, why did you not post this other cover too !? [image=http://www.rebelscum.com/comics/SWVaderGP1.jpg] It's.... Wow....
Vader, Eta-2s, Phase II armor, and a Venator? So, the early Dark Times actually looking and feeling like the prequels? I'm sold.
I found the missing quote: [image=http://www.rebelscum.com/comics/SWVaderGP1var.jpg] "Ars Dangor does not concern me, Admiral..."
It's been implied Mas Amedda didn't last very long under the Empire. I always felt it was kinda weird, him knowing about Palpatine=Sidious and everything else; Palpatine has enough prequel-era advisors who know his dual identity without Valorum's former vice chancellor knowing it, too.
Yeah, that's why Plagueis's revelation that he was already a tool of the Sith when he was moved into the vice-chancellor position worked so well for me.
And its implied at the end of Cloak of Deception ever so slightly that Amedda was already on Palpatine's side. Palpatine did frame/expose Valorum which necessitated Amedda's succession... Damn I love Luceno's work. And if Amedda meets his end in this series, that'd be great in my opinion. Explains his absence and any work set during the empire's early days are fascinating.
Best twist would be if those two were the actual targets all along, and Vader is simply getting messed with, by Palpatine. "Good job, apprentice.... Might keep you around for another week."
