ST Star Wars Day Announcements...?

That's the whole point of this forum.

And there's been no "drip drip" of information as there has been for normal movies (and what Lucas did with EP III). There was a long period of silence. Typically public companies release information so their investors don't get nervous. Especially on $4 billion investments.

I hope that's recent and legit! He looks like Chewie again. Hated his look in ROTS. Suspect Chewie might be a bit greyer in VII

What was wrong with his his look on ROTS? It was still Mayhew in costume right? Though i admit it did seem like it could have been CGI.
Chewie did look awfully shiny and kinda too plastic looking or something. I hope they stick to their guns on limiting the computer effects. Remember when that last Indiana Jones was originally said to be going for the old school vibe and then i'll be damned we got CGi monkeys, a gopher and a bunch of fake looking ants?
Yeah what happened to that huh?

Is that REALLY Chewie? He looks great, oh please let that be the actual costume. He looked awful in ROTS.

 

Interesting on the Chewie photo, though I'm still cautious to assume it's at Pinewood and the Episode VII costume. Yeah, we know Iger was going to London at some point, but do we know he's there right now? Seems just as likely to me that there'd be a Chewie in costume at Disney's offices on Star Wars Day (yes, even though it was a Sunday) as it is that we'd get an actual look at the Episode VII Chewie through a selfie on Instagram when everything else has been so secretive. Hope I'm wrong, though!

 

Thats suits pretty high quality. He may not be in London. But I would guess that is one of several suits that have been made for the film.

 

So did any big announcements happen yesterday that I missed?

 

The only thing I saw was that the Star Wars Instagram page revealed the first pic of Yoda from the 6" Black Series by Hasbro. Probably only exciting if you're a collector like me.

 

Yeah i'd have thought greyer, even whitish seeing as Chewie is the oldest character. Looking at the photo the fur seems a little longer around the chin/neck but (nitpicking ) not as wavy as in RotJ.

Overall if that was the May the Fourth day announcement then i'm happy, well i did watch ESB again for the 1000,000,000,000 time
