I'd say I'll be available after about 1 for a conference call.

What about having someone available to help troopers unload their totes at the front of the library, allowing them to go find parking without having to lug it around? It needs to be someone with a cell phone so when someone is coming up, they can call that person and meet them out front. What do you think?

 

I can't beleive I kept passing this thread up. It sounds totally awesome!

I wish I could go, but work picked back up again and if I don't work today, I'll have to work tomorrow and my hours are in afternoon/evening. Yesterday I didn't even get off until 6:30.

Just got a PM from LiAnakin. She's been sick for the past week or so and doesn't feel like she'll be up to this tomorrow. She's always such a crowd pleaser, I'm very sad that she's sick and won't be able to come. Oh well, there's always next year!

 

The rebels are starting to trickle in. We've got either Luke or a basic jedi coming from the OC and his wrangler.

Allen, Adam and Sonya, would 1:30ish work for the conference call? My last class for the day will be gone by then, so I'll be clear.

 

This would be a really great opportunity for the newbies of the group I think!

Fine with me. Just saw Allen a little bit ago as I was having lunch with Minda at Victoria Gardens.

 

I went to all 4 boards and did a pretty good count. This includes wranglers.

Here's what I got:

IEFF: 23
501st: 17
OCSWS: 7
RL: 2

Total: 49

Sonya, I counted you, Seth and myself in with the IEFF. Guess it really doesn't matter as the final count is the main thing.

 

UGH!!! Sometimes I wish I could turn my real life off when it gets in the way of my fun time. So I can't leave as early as I wanted, so I won't be getting there at 5 it is now going to be 6. I apologize if this throws anything out of balance. I will try to see if I can get things changed, if so I will let you know. Sorry again.

 

Don't stress about it, Doug. Thanks for letting us know. Just get there when you can.... then expect to be flogged! Seriously, don't worry.

 

Hey Mike, I will give you a call tomorrow before I come down for any last minute stuff we may need. Do you want me to bring all the extension cords again. PM me or call if you need anything other than what we talked about earlier this week. Great job everyone. I can't wait!

Hi folks! All is quiet tonight...the calm before the storm.

Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow. I'll be there by 5pm. Call me if you need me before that. I'd like to have a mini pow wow before we start tomorrow if that's okay with everyone. Ofcourse it is because I said it is!

Those wascaly webels are still sneaking in! Obi-Dan has volunteered to come in his E3 Clone gear. And, we will have a Luke. The poor guy was getting bagered from everyone to wear his Luke, so he agreed.

 

8:30-9pm at the booth is fine with me.

but I got 2 question:

1. I was reading the board and someone stated that this is a "cannon" costume only event, does that mean I can't were my "grey" jedi duds?

2. and are their any "tickets" left over? I might have some friends that I'm letting know, last minute of course, about the event. and the son (12 years old) is a huge star wars nuts and I'm sure he'd love to attend the event. I'd probally need about 3 tickets.

There's a couple of things I need to go over with everyone. I need to be the bad guy... sorry!

This event has turned into a rather high profile event. There's going to be a Hollywood director, producer, actress and others there, including lots of press. We need to be totally on top of our game for this. Because of that, I have to ask all IEFF members to wear their IEFF colors or some sort of Star Wars shirt. Unless you're a member of the Rebel Legion or the 501st, please do not costume up. The IEFF is NOT a costuming club. We need to present ourselves as such for this event. (Children are more than welcome to wear costumes as they're kids... and not actual members of the IEFF.) I'm sorry to be such a hard-noser on this one.

The second thing. Unless you are an actual wrangler for somebody or helping out at the booth, please be sure you eat before the event. The food the library is providing is for costumers and helpers only. I'm sorry, but there are just too many volunteers for them to provide food for the families of our helpers and costumers. That doesn't mean you're not appreciated. It's just a matter of cost reality.

We have an amazing group and we're gonna impress the heck out of everybody.

 

All right we are 8 hours from the event..WOO HOO!! For anyone who isn't in a costume and is wondering what to wear here is the weather report as of 5 minutes ago from weather.com:

5pm - 77 degrees, with 46% humidity, 13 mph west/southwest winds

6pm - 74 degrees, with 53% humidity, 13 mph west/southwest winds

7pm - 71 degrees, with 59% humidity, 10 mph west/southwest winds

8pm - 68 degrees, with 68% humidity, 8 mph west/southwest winds

9pm - 66 degrees, with 73% humidity, 7 mph west/southwest winds

So there you go guys plan accordingly. Can't wait to see you all there! This is gonna be a blast!

As far as I know, there are only 4 of us coming out from OCSWS, not sure where Kari got 7, even with Liane originally on the list. We are all carpooling together.

 

this is the path that the costumed ones will follow to open up the event. Obviously we'll go over it in more detail on site.
