I'll definitely give this a look, but I think having two Star Wars series on at once (with a rumored third on the way) is a recipe for disaster. I'd rather have only one well written series than 2 or 3 mediocre ones. Sadly, Lucasfilm isn't synonymous with quality anymore and hasn't for years now.
Not even going to watch one full episode before passing judgment on it? Personally, my biggest concern is what this series will do to GFFA geography. Is Dex's diner now on Alderaan? And was the Death Star a mere northern hemisphere of a moon with the rest composed of matte paintings?
I think we're supposed to assume that Leia was living on Coruscant at this time. Or something, I dunno.
Apparently Bail dropped her off everyday at Dex's for daycare. This is why Leia barely shed a tear when her "home" got nuked.
Well, there was that awesome Star Wars Tales comic where she went to Coruscant for the first time . . . But I'm willing to sacrifice that for a chance to see Leia as a spoiled, entitled brat.
LOVE this and can't wait for it to come out. I hope it's something that the younger kids can really enjoy, especially with TCW going darker (which I'm happy with). First post on the new board...nice!
I went to the panel hosted by Seth Green, Matt Senreich, et al. at Celebration VI and saw all the trailers, preview scenes, etc. I think this looks very funny and I am looking forward to it.
Dear god. let the pain stop . Please. This makes me sick. Two new SW shows aimed at "kids", this and the lego crap....more stupid star wars humor crap. REALLY sick of people doing that. What an epic waste of time and money. I have ZERO interest in garbage like this. No live action....or not even a CGI show in the Old Republic era!!!!!
Remember when kids used to "get" and enjoy the actual SW movies instead of being pandered to with what some lame adults think must be more appealing to kids? Having said that, hope is actually not lost if my 5 year old son and some of his friends are at all representative; they seem to prefer the movies.
I was gonna say that, if anything, Detours is going to make people appreciate The Clone Wars a lot more.
New article by IGN. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/09/06/seth-green-and-matt-senreich-talk-star-wars-detours The part about Luke made me laugh. I wonder what his Aunt and Uncle think when he comes back all disheveled and can't tell them where he's been.
For those who didn't hear about this yet: Detours is getting its own canon level called "D-canon". Can't wait for the new Continuity Cabaret.
I know they aren't going to take Detours canon seriously. It is jokes. Ages won't line up ect... That being said I will watch this show religiously if I can... I just hope it doesn't get old. I would like 30 minute story arcs not clips 1-6= First Episode....
I'm actually really excited for this! Does anyone know if it's going to have an actual story to it or is it just going to be randomness like Robot Chicken Star Wars?
Apparently there is supposed to be a family at the center of it all. I think it is like a family at the center. With Super Ace, Harmony, and maybe Major Fufu as part of that family? That is just hypothesis... Has anyone seen Fufu... He is cute
