Well, not much doll stuff thats for sure! I've been busy studying for school. I've got a research paper due next week on top of a competition I'm going to. And I just got back from a LONG trip.

    So...how about everyone else?

    Life, mostly :D

But I did finish an original valentines dress this month, that I haven't posted in here yet. Its not SW, but its my own design.

I keep meaning to get better pictures, but I've been very busy. My next few dresses that will come out soon are Sabe's battle gown, which is nearing completion, and also a marie Antoinette gown from the new movie. They're pretty cool gowns!!!

    How about everyone else?

Love the sweetheart queen doll! Seven of Nine looks like a fun project, too.

So, I finally decided that even though none of these outfits are actually finished, there is no reason why I couldn't take pictures of them in progress. So I have six new projects to share! Well, not really new, as I started working on most of them a year or two ago, but you know what I mean.

    [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1800_WEB.jpg] [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1803_WEB.jpg] [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1813_WEB.jpg] [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1793_WEB.jpg] [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1807_WEB.jpg] [image=http://www.blue-eyedpadme.com/images/100_1805_WEB.jpg]

I may have posted pictures of the Tatooine peasant disguise before, but that was before I had leg and arm bindings for it. It still needs a jewel for the belt, however.

The pilot disguise needs a lot of work, as it is still missing a helmet, tunic, belt, gloves, gun, and proper boots.

The Coruscant nightgown is completed, and I may have posted pictures of it before as well, but they were very poor quality because I didn't have a good camera back then.

The packing gown needs a blouse and armbands, and the corset/vest needs a collar and embroidery.

The lake gown (my very favorite costume of all time) is just very roughly pinned in place. It needs a lot of fine-tuning.

The underdress for the Tatooine poncho outfit needs a hem and finished edges on the neck and arm holes. And then of course I need to make the poncho.

All these outfits have their own pages on my website now, and I expect more pictures will be up with my progress on these and other costumes soon.

    Thank you Ame_V!!

LOVELY costumes! Even though they aren't finished they still look very nice! I can't wait to see the packing gown finished especially--that's my fav costume, and the lake gown looks lovely even just loosely pinned!!! =D=

I look foreword to the finished versions!

This forms been soo slow lately ;( I miss it lol. But I just wanted to share im going to start a line of Star Wars Padme Amidala Scenery. Like places that were hers if that makes since lol. Im going to build padmes apartment to a 12? figure scale. I've done so much research on this I think my head might explode. I came up with the idea about a year ago and now after careful planning im about to actually start! Of course I realize that this is going to be a huge project but it?s worth it. And I also realize that some parts of her apartment are huge for example the veranda and her bedroom. So that?s why im making a series that will be available for purchase on eBay around July threw December to possibly the next year. Here is my list of scenes in the ?series? ill post pictures when I can and a how im doing report whenever I can.

    List
    1. Padme main sitting room (where Obi Wan-Anakin-Padme-Typho-Dorme have their conversation in AOTC, and where most of the main action in AOTC and ROTS happen).
    2. Her bedroom complete with her walk-in closet.
    3. Her veranda complete with working fountain.
    4. Throne room from episode I
    5. Gondola ride docking in Lake Como getaway.
    6. Garden of the episode II getaway where she and Anakin share the first kiss
    7. Dinner scene
    8. Couch scene where she tells Anakin they cant be together
    9. The scene where she and Anakin talk after he awakes from nightmare.

I cant wait to start and share the pictures with you guys. Ill keep you posted.

I know that this doesnt really have ANYTHING to do with Star Wars, but i need some advice, and with the Southwest boards gone, this is the only place i know to post a question like this.

This is the dress that im hoping to make for my year 12 formal at the end of this year:

    [image=http://www.christinazone.com/pictures/albums/wpw-66/normal_qawards03_10.jpg]

Can ANYONE tell me anything about the kind of material it is made of or suggest a pattern, or anything really.

    Help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Melissa

Hmmmm I'd say for the skirt and top parts, use chiffon. You might need a couple of layers though, so it's not too sheer. Plus that way you can layer colours as well, which always looks pretty. For the bodice/corset part, you could use anything really. Satin, shantung, silk.

For patterns hmmmm you could make it as a top and skirt, or as a dress. The bodice part might need to be boned like a corset. Or you could make it as a sheer dress with an underbust corset over the top? Usually I find it helps to browse pattern websites and have a look. Places like simplicity and McCall's (which covers butterick and vogue as well) have pretty nifty websites :D

    Good luck!!
