VIDEO Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith [xbox | PS2]

There's a new photographed poster on TheForce.net that is claimed to be for a forthcoming Star Wars Episode III video game. It's probably the previously rumoured "Vader" game.

Alternately, it may be an actual movie poster, and the 3rd installment of the prequel trilogy after The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones is titled "The Video Game". This will no doubt give much mileage to those who believe there has been too much digital trickery / special effects in the latest movies.

Just think, you can play The Phantom Menace through, do Attack Of The Clones with your action figures, and then play the Episode III game for that complete prequel re-enactment experience.

(BTW, I'll be a little more lenient if this isn't the Vader game. But if it is.... Boy, oh boy....)

 

Even if the previously rumoured Vader game and this game are one-in-the-same, it seems likely that this won't be a "Vader" game as such, if you follow my logic. You'll probably only play as Vader in that last level, if at all.

 

Either way(Ep.3 game or Vader game) sounds great to me.

 

I'd be pretty surprised if there isn't a PC port for this one. After all, KOTOR did pretty well on the PC, the Ep III game would pull the same trick. Granted, we might have to wait a bit, but I know that even I, SW fanatic that I am, am not going to go out and get an X-Box of PS2 just for this one game. I like my Cube very much, thank you. The PC market is still pretty big, and I think that it'd be a pretty stupid move for Lucasarts not to tap it. My two cents.

I think this might indicate that it won't be that high caliber of a game.
Hopefully it won't be similar to those Phantom Menace games that allowed you to play thru the action in the movie. Hopefully they'll take their time, release it for the PC, and change it in to something good. There'd be room for tons of sequel games in the future to bridge the EU gap between EPIII and A new hope.

 

I read the news on TheForce.net and thought oh my god this is fantastic but then I read just PS2 & Xbox well I felt sick it's just not on LucasArts has to fix this and get it on PC.

 

It's about time Ps2 get more Star Wars games.

There is a very good chance that this game will come on PC. They haven't released any news on this game so you never know.

The lack of Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter is what leads to my incredible lack of faith in a PC release if it wasn't said up-front. And that, like the lack of the two aforementioned, seriously irks me.

Wait you haven't already? Even after Sam & Max 2 cancellation?

This game, if true, will probably hit the PC. Don't worry about it.

 

If it isn't going to be for PC then I am certainly going to go buy an X-Box.

Wasn't there a waiting period on the port for KOTOR after it came out?

I can't see them excluding a PC version of this game. If they do it will be a very bad move for them.

 

Bad move for them? Why? They will make more money off the combined Xbox and PS2 game then the PC. Lucas Arts seems content with the coin they made off of Rogue Leader, Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter. Considering that they Announced that RC will be going to the PC the day they announced it, I wouldn't hold my breath on a PC version.

Yes, but it was announced as a PC game and "next gen console" game from the outset.

Very rarely do LucasArts put out a gamne announcement with specific platforms mentioned, only to add PC or other consoles to the platforms at a later date.


The chances that this will be available on PC are slim.

 

They said that Lucasarts was on set to make this the Most Cinematic Jedi Experience Ever.... Will they succeed with that, or are they just going to make a jumble of a Mess like "Enter The Matrix"?

All I can say if they have another game featuring Obi Wan as a playable character and don't put it on pc, I WILL BE ANGRY. Also I hope they make a better saber combat system. Other than that it's all good.

 

I've never been a fan of games that follow the storyline of their respecitve movie. I wanna see something original! With high production values. Like Bounty Hunter, but better. TPM was an afterthought and AOTC was a crappy GBA game. Maybe, just maybe this will turn out cool.

 

It makes me wanna jump and down.
