VIDEO Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith [xbox | PS2]

Holy crap I watched the Episode III game preview on the OT DVD's the game is going to be great I mean Nick Gillard teaching the game designers how to fight with lightsabers and Hayden showing how he stands and moves this game is going to ROCK, I'm really glad I bought an Xbox recently I just can't believe the Star Wars games that are coming out over the next 7 months, all bow down to the power of the Episode III game.

 

That preview on the DVD was lame. It ran nine minutes long and they only showed a two second clip of actual in game footage. If they weren't going to show anything other then Gillard practicing with sticks why bother calling it a Revenge Of The Sith video game preview. That preview, if we can call it a preview didn't instill much excitement for this game. In fact it did quite the opposite. After watching that preview what did we learn about the actual gameplay?

It also looked as if the camera was in a fixed position. Like the cameras in Resident Evil and such. I hate that. Hopefully I am wrong.

 

It disturbs me that with only 8 months to go we still haven't seen much of this game.

Do we even know who the development team behind it is? (Yes I know LucasArts are publishing)

The lack of info leads me to believe this will end up similar quality and length as the official Phantom Menace game.

When you factor in that LucasArts are busy marketing Battlefront & Republic Commando, and that Sith Lords will be out soonish too, it's no surprise you've not seen much as yet.

Also factor in that it's an EPISODE 3 game, and that LucasFilm don't exactly want a bunch of locations and images from the game that will be closely based on the movie floating around this far out.

Everything seems to be progressing perfectly normally as far as I can tell.

That's the potential problem I have with this game. Games which are basically replays of the movie usually are not very good. "The Phantom Meanace" is a prime example.

Ah, so we finally have confirmation. LucasArts are not developing again. Bah.

Its being dealt with by The Collective. Who did Wrath Unleashed. I'm not overly excited to be honest.

But the site says there will be a game trailer soon, so that may change my mind.

for the episode 3 final battle, how do you think it will be played out?
throught the game, you will switch off between Obi and Anakin, but what do you think will happen for the battle between them both? in Legacy of Kain: Defiance, their was a switch off, and the battle between them you played as both, but that was because of the story, maybe they'd do that here? you play as Anakin for the first half and win, then as Obi and win to cut off to the cinnamatic defeat?
on the lucasarts page, with the screenshots of the game, it showed the battle, and what looked like the players POV as Anakin.
it makes sence that it would switch off as both, what do you think?

The preview shown on the Bonus Disc of the DVD set is the exact same one shown to us fans at the Comic Con presentation. same with Battlefront. If both Nick and Hayden were as involved with the game as they said they were, this game play should be good to go.

 

Trailer's up, and looks damn good. Shows a bit extra of what to expect for the movie as well, so if you're pretty spoiler-queamish you might want to avoid it.

 

the trailer looked awesome. Did anyone else catch the shot of Anakin impaling a blue alien jedi who had a green double bladed saber?

 

The trailer looked great. I wasn't sure if I'd be interested in the game but looks like I'll have to pick this up for sure now.

 

It`s going to be the best game ever, well... probely second to Halo 2. What do you guys think will be the best concole to play this game, XBOX or PS2? Can you please tell me why you`ve come to this decision. Im doing a questionare about Starwars EpIII the game.

 

Is this Ep. III spoilers allowed or no? If it is I'm goig to avoid this thread.
