Beyond - Legends Star Wars Episode VII: An end to Peace (Update 10/23)

EXT. SPACE

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far way....

A vast sea of stars serves as a backdrop for the Main Title, followed by a rollup, which crawls into infinity.

Thirty years have passed since the fall of the Galactic Empire. Since then, a new Galactic Senate has been formed to keep peace throughout the galaxy.

The recent assassination of Supreme Chancellor Jon Tempo though, has prompted the Galactic
Senate to elect Lao Xizor as new Supreme Chancellor. Xizor has pledged to hunt down and capture these alleged assassins.

Two senators though, Bokna and Tooknu, are mysterious of Xizor's plans and are on their way to Coruscant to confront him, to see whether he is restoring or bringing an end to the peace...

PAN down to a large chrome Senate Cruiser, being escorted by two Senate Fighters. The Cruiser is on its way to the newly rebuilt planet of Coruscant.

INT. CRUISER --DAY

The ships captain approaches Senator Bokna.

CAPTAIN
(to Bokna)
Senator Bokna, we are approaching Coruscant. We will be arriving at the Senate Chamber very shortly.

BOKNA

Thank you captain.

EXT. CORUSCANT - CITYSCAPE --DAY

TRACK with the Cruiser, as it flies and navigates its way through various skyscrapers. The sun glints off the shiny chrome plating of the ship, as it makes its way to the Senate Chamber.

EXT. SENATE CHAMBER - DOCKING BAY --DAY

The Cruiser lands on the docking bay, where several guards await the arrival of Senator's BOKNA and TOOKNU. The hatch of the ship opens and the two senators make their way down the ramp, on their way to the Senate Chamber.

TRACK with the two Senators as they make there way to interior of the Chamber.

TOOKNU
(to Bokna)
Senator Bokna, I hope you don't plan to reveal to the Senate that we have sent out troops to spy on Xizor's activities. We would surely be vanished from the Senate for good.

BOKNA

Of course not Tooknu. What we have done there is strictly our business. We are here simply to hear the latest news on the investigation of the assassination.

TOOKNU

Well what are your feelings about Xizor sending out a majority of our Senate Forces to hunt down these assassins?

BOKNA

Skeptical.

TOOKNU

Why?

BOKNA

Well, Xizor isn't just sending out forces to hunt down the assassins. He is also sending out the forces, reportedly, to put an end to some small rebel outbursts on the planet of Cantar.

TOOKNU

Well this is the first time I've heard about this.

BOKNA

Few know about it. I managed to get some inside information from a fellow Senator.

TOOKNU

Do these rebel threats concern you?

BOKNA

They don't concern me. I'm just confused as to why Xizor would concentrate so much on something so small. Rebel out-bursts occur all the time. Chancellor Tempo never did anything about them. He would just let them run their course. I just have a feeling that Xizor is up to something else, something unknown.

TOOKNU

Perhaps we should bring it up.
FADE OUT:

INT. SENATE CHAMBER --DAY

FADE IN:

The chamber is full, with representatives from all the planetary systems. The look is similar to what is seen in the prequel trilogies. PAN 360 degrees around the chamber to reveal all the representatives.

CUT to BOKNA and TOOKNU, who take a seat in their assigned positions.

The Speaker of the House, an elegant dressed GORGUN creature named TYPHIS, arrives in the chamber to address the representatives.

TYPHIS

Will all representatives please rise to welcome Supreme Chancellor Xizor!

Everyone rises to greet the arrival of XIZOR. CUT to BOKNA and TOOKNU who applause the arrival. XIZOR enters the Chamber, greeted by applause, and takes his position in the center of the chamber.

XIZOR

I'm glad to see you all again, my fellow senators. These are not the circumstances that I wish we could of met under, but nonetheless we will get on with our busine

 

EXT. MOS EISLEY ? STREETS ?-DAY

CHRISTIAN, R2, and C-3PO are hanging out by the speeder. ARTKINIAN is seen approaching in the background.

CUT to shot of ARTKINIAN walking up to the speeder.

ARTKINIAN
(to Christian)
Any luck?

CHRISTIAN

Not exactly. I was kicked out of the bar because I had the droids with me. I guess they?re not allowed in there.

C-3PO
(to Artkinian)
I tried to tell him that we weren?t allowed, but he wouldn?t listen.

ARTKINIAN
(to Christian)
Why didn?t you just send the droids out?

CHRISTIAN

Well I had some words with the bartender, so I got kicked out too.

ARTKINIAN

Surprising.

CHRISTIAN

Yeah well how bout you, find anything?

ARTKINIAN

Yeah, I found us a pilot. He?ll take us all the way to Coruscant system, but its gonna cost us.

CHRISTIAN

Well I figured that. How much?

ARTKINIAN grabs his bags out of the speeder.

ARTKINIAN

We?ll have to sell your speeder.

CHRISTIAN runs up in ARTKINIAN?S face.

CHRISTIAN

How much!?

ARTKINIAN
(faces Christian)
Fifteen thousand.

CHRISTIAN
(loudly)
Fifteen thousand!

CUT to C-3PO

C-3PO

Fifteen thousand, oh dear.

CUT back to ARTKINIAN and CHRISTIAN

CHRISTIAN
(to Artkinian)
Are you crazy!?

ARTKINIAN

Relax; he?s a good pilot.

CHRISTIAN
(angry)
Oh yeah I?m sure he?s a great pilot! But we could buy and fly our own ship for fifteen thousand! Anyway, selling the speeder ain?t gonna cover the cost.

ARTKINIAN

I know, it will probably cover half the costs. We need the other half by tomorrow morning.

CHRISTIAN

Why don?t we just go and steal some ship. If anyone says anything, we?ll pull out our light sabers. They won?t mess with us, we?re Jedi.






ARTKINIAN

Please, having a light saber does not make you a Jedi. Anyway, I wouldn?t want to abuse my powers.

CHRISTIAN

Always taking the hard way.

CLOSE. ARTKINIAN.

ARTKINIAN

The right way.

FADE OUT:

EXT. CORUSCANT ?-NIGHT

FADE IN:

Establishing shot of outside the Senate Hall. The lights light up the night sky.

INT. CHANCELLORS OFFICE ?-NIGHT

Senator BOKNA and LUKE are awaiting the arrival of XIZOR in his office.

BOKNA
(to Luke)
Once Xizor arrives, we?ll update him on your arrival. But remember mention nothing of our plan.

LUKE
(shaking his head)
Okay.

LUKE walks over to the window, and has a look outside.

BOKNA

Is everything alright?

LUKE
(turning around)
Yes.

BOKNA

Your hand.

LUKE
(holds out the repaired hand)
Like new.

The doors to the office open, and in walk Xizor and some of his guards.

BOKNA

Chancellor Xizor, so great to see you again.

XIZOR

Good to see you again Bokna, I heard what happened.

BOKNA

Well I can assure you I am fine, but unfortunately I feel like these threats are still at large.

XIZOR

I?m sorry about Tooknu he was a good friend. He?ll be greatly missed.

BOKNA

That?s why we must end these threats now.

XIZOR
(looks at Luke)
I see you brought a friend.

BOKNA

Oh yes, this is Master Jedi Luke Skywalker. He has come to help us.

LUKE
(to Xizor)
Hello.

XIZOR

Ahh yes Master Skywalker. A pleasure to finally meet you in person, after all those stories I?ve heard.

LUKE

Thanks, but I try not to live in the past.

XIZOR

Where are the other two? I heard there were to be three Jedi.

LUKE

My sons are on their way here as we speak.

XIZOR

Perhaps with your presence here, these threats to the Senate can finally end.

FADE OUT:

EXT. MOS EISLEY ? STREETS ?-DAY

FADE IN:

ARTKINIAN, CHRISTIAN, 3PO, and R2 are walking along the crowded streets after selling the speeder. ARTKINIAN

 

EXT. SKYWALKER RANCH ?-NIGHT

The DARK JEDI is seen getting back into his ship, when all of a sudden you see ARTKINIAN?S X-Wing pull up to the ranch.

CLOSE. X-WING.

ARTKINIAN hops out of the cockpit fast, and draws his light saber.

ARTKINIAN
(yelling hopelessly)
Mom!

The DARK JEDI takes a few shots at ARTKINIAN with his blaster, but all are deflected. ARTKINIAN rushes toward the ship, but it takes off before he could reach it. He manages to throw a tracking device on the ship though.

ARTKINIAN starts running toward the entrance of the homestead.

INT. HOMESTEAD ? DEN ?-NIGHT

ARTKINIAN rushes in looking worried and scared. He keeps his light saber drawn.

ARTKINIAN

Mom!

ARTKINIAN moves furniture out of his way, when he all of sudden notices MARA lying on the floor.

ARTKINIAN (CONT?D)
(kneels down by Mara)
No mom. Don?t do this mom.

He starts to cry.

ARTKINIAN (CONT?D)

This is my fault. I should of stuck to my mission and none of this would have happened. I could have been here for you ma. I failed mom, but I promise it won?t happen again.

PAN back farther as ARTKINIAN just kneels down by his dead mother and cries.

FADE OUT:

EXT. CORUSCANT ? SENATE CHAMBER ?-DAY

FADE IN:

Quick establishing outside of Senate Chamber. The blue sky engulfs the background, and several hundred ships are seen passing by.

INT. BOKNA?S OFFICE ?-DAY

The doors to the somber toned office open up, and ARTKINIAN and R2 enter. LUKE greets his son immediately. BOKNA, CHRISTIAN, DOM, and 3PO just stand back in the background.

LUKE
(hugging Artkinian)
Artkinian, I?m so glad to see you.

ARTKINIAN

I?m so sorry, I wish I could have been there.

LUKE

It wasn?t your fault. No one knew that was going to happen. There was nothing you could have done to prevent it. I?m just glad your were on Tatooine when it happened.

ARTKINIAN

How?s Christian?

LUKE

He?s holding up.

ARTKINIAN glances over at CHRISTIAN who just keeps his head down.

LUKE (CONT?D)

Now that you?re back safely, I?m going to leave.

ARTKINIAN

Where are you going?

LUKE

Back to Tatooine. I have to get back to her, so I can set up a funeral service.

ARTKINIAN

What about us?

LUKE

Bokna will give you and Christian your instructions. When you are all finished, I will me you back here and then go from there, alright?

ARTKINIAN shakes his head in agreement.

LUKE (CONT?D)
(to Bokna)
Bokna, is my ship ready?

BOKNA

Yes, you?re welcome to leave whenever.

LUKE starts to head for the office doors to leave. He turns around.

LUKE
(to Artkinian, and Christian)
Sons we?re all counting on you. May the force be with you.

LUKE exits as the doors shut behind him, leaving his two sons ARTKINIAN and CHRISTIAN to solve this matter for themselves.

ARTKINIAN approaches BOKNA.

ARTKINIAN
(to Bokna)
Senator Bokna, were you able to trace the Dark Jedi?

BOKNA

The Dark Jedi you ran into seems to be stationed outside of Cantar.

ARTKINIAN
(confused)
Cantar?

BOKNA

The same planet these so called rebel outbursts are occurring at.

ARTKINIAN

So they?re connected.

BOKNA

Apparently. Christian and Dominik reported back saying they saw a massive army in the thousands being prepared for battle. These rebels are preparing for an invasion. We can?t allow for the rebels to invade us here on Coruscant, so we must launch a surprise attack on them immediately.

ARTKINIAN

How are you going to launch a surprise attack, I thought that most of the Senate Forces have been wiped out.


BOKNA

The Moonsar system has donated their army for our cause. They are secretly stationed here, without Xizor?s knowledge, waiting for deployment.

ARTKINIAN

Where do Christian and I fit in with all of this?

BOKNA
