Halsey was already pretty nasty in Halo 4.

I'm not sure how Traviss got thrown in there. Probably since Denning was mentioned. But I would say there is zero possibility Traviss is the novelization writer. Although I think she'd do an awesome job if she was.

She does to Halsey + Spartans exactly the same things she does to Jedi + Clones.

Evil, unfair, poor children with lives stolen from them having to fight wars etc. And the same opinions and statements repeat literally like 50 times over the trilogy she wrote from every character in the book.

Yes, I am aware of that, though did specifically mention the first six novels separately from Greg Bear and John Shirley for a reason, because they are a lesser priority than the first six novels.

Which her books lead into. It's almost like she did what she was told to. :)

Which... is what Halsey did. And that's what Keyes and others thought of her back in The Fall of Reach. Nothing new there.

No. She's an awesome writer. She also did a fantastic job on The Clone Wars novelization. She managed to make that story good. Also, she doesn't hate Jedi.

Stover should do Episode 7 or Luceno.

Luceno could be interesting - the first three-quarters of the book being his usual backfill novel, with the last hundred pages being the movie novelization proper. ;)

I'd like Stover. I expect Foster.

pretty sure she directly said that she "hates" jedi. (insofar as you can "hate" a fictional religion)

    yes

Fall of reach wasn't a trilogy of 400 page diatribes.

    Very different.

She did said not say that. She was critical of Jedi endorsing the conscription of a slave army.

Also, you are either being facetious or don't know what "literally" means.

Yup. And even more critical of people who excuse the Jedi's actions on the grounds that "the clones aren't real humans anyway"

What annoyed me is when Traviss said that Obi-Wan was a cruel General and that Cody was happy to receive Order 66.

I'll take your word for it

No, it is literally exactly as I said. You're going to have to be more specific as to where you disagree.

I couldn't find any references to that in the books (although it may be there but hard to spot). Was it in online conversation?

O, when first the gravest one spoke were its thoughts a puzzle,
But alas, she came and laid its gravemind bare and transparent,
And never again would it talk in even my dreadful verse but totally normally because apparently it just liked to show off and look impressive for kicks.

That's what happens when The Traviss is invoked. She like the Star Wars fandom equivalent to political parties.

Well in Order 66 when the Open Circle fleet arrives to save Coruscant, Omega squad (that was Darman's outfit right?) joke among that they'll have to lower the shields in order to let Kenobi's massive ego land on the planet. That whole bit was just ....... no comment.

What get's really annoying is how all the women in the story (including the one that get's kidnapped after she was framed for something that the Nulls did) marry the clones. All of them just swoon at the sight of those clone/Mando boys. It was just [face_plain]

This seems obvious to me: but characters are not the author. So to claim Traviss said something negative about Obi seems to be a misunderstanding of how literature works. Also, Obi does have a big ego. Self admitted. Is it really so hard to believe clones would think of him that way? He can be pretty pompous.

We clearly read different books . not ever been awesome. She had a couple good books, but her novels in Luke's timeline are not good

I liked them a lot. Lots of people did, though admitting so around here is sacrilege. Also, you do realize "awesome" is subjective, right? One person's awesome is another's crap. Too obvious?
