Lucas likes the Flash Gordon episode tiltes - that's why we had The Phantom Menace & Attack of the clones ,

So here's some possibilities :

Vengeance of the empire
The deadly deception
Duel againt darkness
Lure to darkness
The galactic invasion
Struggle of the force

Ep. 7 A fragile peace?

having thought about it, I wonder if the title of ep. 7 will also be a message to fans that this is the start of a new era for star wars. So maybe the title wil be 'overly optimistic' as opposed to prophesising impending doom. based on that logic a title along the lines of 'a new...' or 'the next...' seems quite likely. Sadly

And, yeh im well aware that very few of my suggested titles are optimistic

 

It had better not be something cheesy like "A New Beginning".

 

Disney might want to send a message to the prequel haters that this is a fresh start. Im still holding out that arndt and disney will respect all 6 films and a good clue to that could be ep. 7's title

Most of the suggestions are so clunky, cheesy and such a mouthful, so this one is, in my opinion, the best!

I like this even more than Norminator's suggestion, which was "Star Wars: Episode VII - (blank) of the (blank) ... and I liked that quite a bit!

It really is too early for this sort of thing. At this stage, we have no idea whatsoever what the film will be about, which characters may, or may not, return etc.

 

So, in the same vein as my last post - #287 - I'd like to suggest: "Star Wars Episode VII: [Insert optional number of blanks]. Catchy, eh?

I thought of the title The Last Hope back in the early 90's when I had dreams of being a director for the sequel trilogy. I always thought that it was an obvious title for the last film in the series that bookended with ANH. I really thought that it was my destiny to sit in the chair for one of these films. Then Lucas said he wasn't going to make them and I turned my hand to writing instead. There's a lesson in there, never give up on your dreams.
