ST Star Wars Episode VII Title Speculation Thread

I'll still probably call it Episode VII.

 

Hmmm...that's all really weird. I don't understand why it would be called Episode VII...

this was apparently posted on reddit...looks to come from a book, not sure which one. but it has the logos of a bunch of star wars games that never made it out of lucasarts....

check out the bottom right of page one....



i realise how unlikely it is that that's the title....but....i don't hate it...

Episode 7 - Dark Side Rising

Has a ring to it.

 

Shadows of the Sith is something I could get behind.

 

Though the title is Star Wars-y, it's from a cancelled game.

The idea that the game would be the sequel and not the movie is speculation on the authors part - so could Shadows of the Sith be the actual title of Ep 7? It's possible the game was being developed as an additional asset in the sale to Disney. If Shadows of the Sith is not the actual title it certainly heavily hints the sith will be involved.

This book also confirms the title of the live action series with a video game tie in: Star Wars Underworld.

The phrase "Shadows of the Sith" sounds like something left behind by the Sith of I-VI.

 

I'm going with "no", assuming Lucas has made up the title (no idea if he did, but I'd assume so, given that he wrote the story treatment); his first-of-a-trilogy titles are never that specific, and both Episode I and Episode IV refer to particular characters-Sidious and Luke, respectively. Groups are 2nd and 3d films

 

I agree with the bounty-hunting Sith Lord.

 

I'm pretty certain these were all the pitches given to Lucas in a set of planning meetings for what ended up giving the world The Force Unleashed. I know for a fact that's what Darth Maul and Rebel Warrior are (The latter being a pitch given to Lucas for a game where the player controls a raging Wookiee.) So with this in mind I highly doubt that this Episode VII game was ever actually in production.

 

OMG, "Shadows of the Sith". This was obviously a tie into the movie or plot ideas. It's sad what happen to Lucasarts:

 

It had NOTHING to do with the Episode VII movie.

This was the sequel to Shadows of the Empire. Where that was set after Empire but before Jedi, this one was set after Jedi thus the Episode VII title.

It was cancelled long before Episode VII was a movie and has zero connection to the movie.

Knowing what Lucasarts had become before the Disney sale, none of those games were going to get made.

 

Revenge of the Sith to Shadows of the Sith.
Return of the Jedi to Shadows of the Sith.

Seem logical to me.

 

The Han Solo game sounds like it could of been cool.

 

Actually I always interpreted "The Phantom Menace" as referring to 3 People. Sidious, Maul and Anakin. Sidious was the The Phantom Menace cause he was really the emperor but going around as the chancellor. Maul was The Phantom Menace was he was one of the last Sith Apprentices in the Universe. Anakin was The Phantom Menace cause The Jedi could not control his emotions and he would eventually become Vadar. "Shadows of the Sith" doesn't sound out the realm of possibilities when looking at the past titles. Yes using "Sith" in the title again I wouldn't expect but you never know. With the way "Return of the Jedi" ended. The Sith and their religion are definitely in the shadows

 

Hope we get some good games set between the OT and ST. Hope we get some exciting new characters in the ST to follow around in a game.

 

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that?

 

Could Darth Maul, Vader and Han Solo be clues to the stand alone films?

 

There are folks that believe that Lucasarts let the title to the new movie leak in one of their own books?
