Episode VII: Retcon the Force

 

I do like 'Shadows of the Sith'. I like the hint of the plurality implied.

 

That one has been in my mind a lot lately too. I would just say "Shadow of the Sith" though. And IF Sidious were back as a spirit there would be an obvious story connection as well.

 

I prefer 'Shadows' because it implies all Sith and the culmination of their knowledge in the past 1,000 years. It think if a Sith masters the ability of life and death in the profane world it might be possible for them to resurrect the great, ancient Sith of the past. One Master over all.

 

SW EVII - The Dark Jedi

As Jedi is both singular and plural it could impart that there are indeed new Jedi,some with dark pasts, some that are absolutely Dark Jedi, and one that may be a Dark Jedi if not given the proper training. My original entry was The Forgotten Others but I rescind that notion lol. Perhaps too much tryptophan?

 

Star Wars - Dawn of the Republic

 

It's funny...I've been trying to stay away from five word titles, but forget to remind myself that this is a new era in Star Wars filmmaking. For all we know, it could be the first Star Wars movie with a 5 word title. Heck, who knows, all three ST films could be five word titles. And Disney shouldn't be held to this minor standard, anyway, because it could only hinder them from coming up with a great title.

I'm pretty certain I don't want Disney deciding the titles of these movies. Hopefully Lucas already brought his own to the table.

 

How about "The Latest Dawn" or "The Most Recent Dawn" or "The Dawn That's Just Coming About Now"?

I'm not saying Disney per se — what I'm saying is that whoever writes the screenplays shouldn't be held back because of some silly tradition of having to stick with only three or four word titles.

Yeah, keeping it singular could fool people into thinking that it might be the Emperor, instead of some apprentice.

The Galactic Republic has existed (more or less) for thousands of years. If the title were to be something like that, "Dawn of the New Republic" would make more sense. However, I don't see the Republic or any other political concepts being a big deal in the ST. I think Abrams and co are going to try to stay as far from the prequels as possible.
