FF:WA Star Wars Fact Files

Southlands Shopping Centre have the last 6 issues on stands all the time until they run out, and I'm sure a few in the city do the same. You can always ask say Quality Comics to get them in there, actually that's not a bad idea at all.

 

JA pick a newsagent as the one to get it from and ask for the person who orders the magazines in, and ask them to put a copy away for you when it comes in. That's what most of the newsagents will be doing now. The one at Midland Gate has orders to hold 20 copies of the Fact Files for customers each week which is why there are none on display anymore, cos they all go straight into the "awaiting collection" pile under the counter at the back.
Midland Gate will hold issues for 4 weeks, then they will return them so they can get the cost of the issue back.. it's standard practice for unsold magazines.

 

Might have to do that, I've been looking all over the place for issue 21.

 

They (newsagents) should also be able to backorder issues if you can't find it anywhere.

 

Yes, I just told my newsagent to hold a copy for me when they get it in, and I just usually go up to them and they take it out of my file. But what really annoyed me is that they lost my 22nd issue!!! I got 21 and 23 but they cant find the 22nd one. Now I dont know what where to get it... and I was counting on collecting them all

 

If they can't find issue 22 in the store ask them to back order it for you.. it may take a few weeks for it to come in though.

Has anyone got anymore of these issues delivered lately?

 

I've been getting the newsagent in Midland Gate to hold them for me, they were having some problems with not getting enough copies to cover orders, but the back orders are now up to date except for issue 19.

 

The newsagent near Action in Belmont forum always has it, and a few back issues as well. With my two binders, I put Events/ battle and Characters in the first on and in the second binder I put the rest. (It just about balances out)
I put the card contents page in the second one with the covers at the front of the first binder.

Did that just make sense?

 

i'm waiting on bissett mag to send the lastest one out.

 

BPJ does this mean you only got 1 set of dividers for the 2 binders? I've got the local newsagent chasing that up for me, but it would be interesting to find out if there are s'posed to be any more dividers released.

 

I got my next shipment of magazines today. Up to issue 34 now.

 

They had a set of dividers with issue 4 (?) but that is all. In a few issues, they should have a new binder (issue 40, if they do the same as issue 20) and then I hope they will put dividers in.

Because most sections are in "file 2" for me, I put the contents one in that binder.

 

Still waiting.....trying to not rip bissett mag's head off ..oops sorry.

 

Have you contacted Bissett to see what the delay is?

 

Carouisel shopping centre is also reliable for the mag, and Dougues in Perth usually has the fact file.

Next issue due today. I can't even remember what should be on the cover, let alone what issue it is. I'll let you know tomorrow. (I am at work ATM)

 

Issue 35 is out today, has one of them there cloners on the cover.

 

Does the content of the Fact Files annoy anyone?
They are going through every single piddling event in every movie, and ignoring the EU.
I skim through and read the EU bits first.

 

I dunno about ignoring the EU, the section on Gamorreans gave Voort saBinring aka Piggy aka Wraith 12 a decent write up, also when the pages for Chewie started, it was about page 9 which was set in SW NJO Vector Prime.
Obi-Wans' section starts from his time as a padawan as well, so they are adding the EU in, just rather slowly, which is understandable because not everyone is going to have a complete library.... even I don't have the Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Search series.....

 

My next batch of issues should be sent out soon

I do get a bit annoyed when they use comic art when they could have used film footage, but otherwise it makes an interesting read.
