Cheer Ramesh. I'll have to pass though. I know as much about golf as i do brain surgery.

 

There is a dedicated thread there in the meet-up section but I think people need to register first. Regardless, I'll post all the details here once everything is confirmed.

And not to worry guys, the majority of the folks attending will be playing golf for the first time. Its nothing serious, just a short par 3 or pitch & putt type course. And we'll most likely make a day of it, with lunch, evening meal etc.

Therein lies the problem, Ram, seeing as no-one but invitees are permitted to register. Possibly resulting in legal action of some bizarre kind if we do.

Nevermind, if you're free in August you may have noticed a meet here in Hyde Park for the 3rd.

 

As I understand it the forum is open to anyone who is genuinely interested. I found it to be a very welcoming place. I think the registration security is there only to ensure people don't abuse their privileges.

As its a part of tf.n I know a lot of fans visit these boards regularly to read up on events. I hope therefore they wont be put off.

My aim here is to attract as many newcomers to the London meetups as possible. I appreciate that a round of golf wouldn't necessarily appeal to everyone, but this would be a great opportunity to meet new people / fellow Star Wars fans in your neck of the woods.

I don't think the prospect of a round of golf is the problem, Ram. Still, I'm sure it'll have lots of takers on 'the sunnier side of the street'... ahem.

Yes. The administrators didn't like anyone from here or elsewhere registering.

Ohhhh the joy of knowing people with dynamic IPs!

 

Only handy if it's a false IP from an IP random generator, which alas isn't very legal and not highly recommended unless you have a special licence to use one.

 

My fault! I didn't realise the direct links caused an issue with access logs.

Meet details posted, and deleted, posted and deleted again? Anyone would think that we weren't wanted at a CentralServices meet?

 

I know that this was not intentional awkwardness on behalf of CS, it's just more convenient this way.
