The battle at Aquirous

The TF battleship collided with the SSD, the damage was severe, however the SSD's engines were still working, it started to retreat from the battle. The gunboats destroyed 12 more battleships, while the other barrages from the SSD's destroyed the rest. The VSD's barraage on the deflection towers worked, all but a few were left. The reserve forces with ground troops moved in, the old corvettes unleashed thier barrage of turbolaser fire, killing most of the rocket ships. only a few enemy ships remained.

The two triad armadas dropped out of hyperspace near the planet Telti. All ships raised shields and powered up weapons. The fighters all flew out infront of the capital ships. Closing in on range the ships waited untill they could all fire apon the enemy. (Still out of range, you ships and mine must first move closer to each other before we can exchange fire)

This is this threads equilvalent of Armageddon!!!

 

The Imperial fleet appeared over Kothlis, and within seconds had all weapons powered up and sheilds on-line.

The Imperial fleet went into attack position. The Interdictors, twenty of which were cloaked, went on-line, blocking off most of the system. The main attack fleet, consisting of most of the star destroyers, two SSDs, and the Vengeance, struck the Confederacy fleet head-on, ignoring the damage done.

Two fleets, consisting of the VSDs, Dreadnoughts, and missile boats, each led by a SSD and escorted by severas ISDs came around the sides, to hit the battleships from the sides. The TIEs and lancers filled in all the gaps in the fleets. The torpedo spheres, protected by the monitors, moved close to the planet to blast through the sheilds and clear out an area of the planet where the ground forces could land. Once a safe zone was detected, the thousands upon thousands of landing craft, shuttles, troop ships, and barges descended upon the planet. The torpedo spheres remained near the planet to pummel the deflection towers from space, while the monitors returned to the main battle. Half of the bombers made strafing runs against the battleships and rockets, while the other half remained behind.

The enitre Yuuzhan Vong Fleet emerged at Center Point. The Station was literally defensless, and was too close to use it's ultimate weapon. It had already cost the Seperatists many war materials.

The reemergance of the Yuuzhan Vong was such a suprise, not even their closest allies new about it. The Yuuzhan Vong fleet which had rebuilt it's entire fleet, and then had managed to sneak out of the system while the Yevena attacked it. The fleet had been completley rebuilt, and the Worldship had healed up to full health again.

And the Yuuzhan Vong came with a very terrifying biological agent. The virus would use Oxygen and create a by-product which would consume metal. The shapers had worked on this for years, and was finally complete. They launched it at the center of centerpoint, which cause gigantic holes in the hull. The agent kept spreading throught the hull, but would take days before centerpoint was destroyed entirely.

Meanwhile in the Kuat system a small craft the size of a regular human detached from a small frigate and headed for the planet. The Kuat was easily one of the most heavily defended planet in the Imperials, but the size of the craft was so small the remaining ships mistaed it for a meteor and let it be destryoed by the shield.

But this didn't matter. All that needed to happen was for the virus to reach the atmosphere, which would happen before it hit the shield. The Virus would attack the carbon strains that held life together. All life on the planet would literally disolve.

And the shapers had made it so small no filter system could possibly filter it, as the drawback over Eriadu they had expierienced. The craft reached the shield, and in a matter of hours, Kuat would be nothing more then dust.

The Kuat system was a sepearate attack.

 

All of these viruses seem to be more like superweapons than surprise attacks, and are quite god-moddish.

It ruins the point of the game because there is no battle or strategy. The viruses destroy any room for regular gameplay and make the game mostly pointless. If I were to build a death star and then go find all of your worldships and blow them up, then get a bunch of world devestators to eat all of your ships, then the game wouldn't be too fun, now would it?

Also, Kuat is abandoned, but anyhow, how could your virus survive hitting the planetary sheild? Anything that touches it is instantly fried, and the viruses would be pulled into the sheild by the planet's gravity.

Why don't you try attacking someone for once, rather than having the hand of god smite your enemies from afar?

At Kothlis the Confederates did the same. On both planets the ground forces scrambled to prepare for the defense of the planets.

The Yuuzhan Vong 1st fleet came out of Hyperspace to the side of the Pirate fleet, who was slowly beating the Seperatists into dust. The damaged SSD had managed to make it past the front lines, but now encountered the might of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet. It tried to make a run, but was to badly damaged to do anything.

The fighters began to race ahead to join with the droid fighters. The ground troops showed up on the other side of the system, and landed in the protective bunkers. They disembarked and prepared to fight the pirate ground troops.

The ship tenders also came down to give supplies and extra war materials to the soon to the troops who will soon be fighting the Pirates.

The Capital ships began to slowly start to fight the Pirate captial ships, which were starting to manuever to match the oncoming fleet.

Kothilis:

The remaining fleet showed up over the Seperatist world of Kothlis. It was total chaos. The Yuuzhan Vong fleet started to attack from behind the Imperials.

The fighters raced forward and formed screens around the firgates. The frigates inturn shilded the larger ships, which started to screen the Worldship.

The remaining dropships came in from behind the planet, but would take hours before they actually made it to the planet with the Interdictor field up.

"Have a taskforce destroy all of the Interdictor's in case we need a quick escape." The supreme one told his sub-ordinate.

"Sir, the Yammosks have detected 20 different gravitational signatures, it would take days before we destroyed every last one of them" The supreme commander then realized they would be victorious or die.

The Eighty-something thousand TIEs of various makes flew ahead of the Imperial fleet to head off the over twelve thousand coralskippers. The lancers prepared for the wave of fighters which would soon arrive. A third of the Imperial fleet remained behind to engage the seperatists. All but one of the Super Star Destroyers turned to face the scarheads. The Imperial fleet rushed ahead to the Vong capitol ships, sending massive cannonades of turbolasers all the way. The dreadnoughts sought out the smaller Vong ships, while the Star Destroyers picked on the cruisers and warships.

Three Super star destroyers moved towards one of the grand cruisers with all weapons ablaze. The vengeance also cut into the heart of the vong fleet, escorted by hundreds of smaller vessels.

The missile boats returned to the capitol ships to reload, then left the hangars to spread another load of proton torpedoes against the vong. Each volley of torpedoes from the missile boats consisted of 12000 projectiles. The torpedo spheres abandoned their attack upon the surface and swung around the battle. They sought out the worldship from a long distance, and began pummeling it with planetary-sheild destroying waves of missiles and torpedoes, accompanied by brief but intense volleys of turbolaser fire.

The Seperatist fleet ravage many of the Imperial ships. Their suicide tactics caused thousands of deaths. The superior numbers and sheilds of the Imperial ships kept them going, though.

The Imperial army dropped down to the planet, landing in the area of land carved out by the torpedo spheres. The thousands of troops and hundreds of vehicles moved out en mass across the forested surface. The tropical rain forests were reduced to ash and mud once the entire Imperial army finished passing by. They continued on a course which would take them to the captiol and largest city of Kothlis.

The royal guards and a detachment of Darktroopers remained in a cloaked shuttle, recently built at Wayland, and sought out the position of Dooku and his entourage.

OOC: I think that the upcoming ground battle will be able to outdo Geonosis in terms of intensity and definately in size. This will be interesting: The droid army against the empire against the Vong. Who would have seen that coming?

 

Seeing the unorganized attack comming twards the armadas, the admiral wanted to play it safe.

"All capital ships, stay out of range of the enemy. All fighters and bombers. Initiate attack sequence Wall of missels."

The word was given, and nothing could turn back the order. All fighters and bombers locked onto every enemy ship in thier view. A wall of missles bigger than anything ever seen before headed twards the enemy stationed at Telti.

The intenses fire had taken it's tole on many of the ships. Only a few had been destroyed, but many were damaged. The worldship, while taking a beating, was also dishing out one. The Yuuzhan Vong began there infamous "dance" where every ships was in perfect unison. The Yammosks began to take control over everything. The Void's were in perefect unison to get most of the torpedos, while the others slammed into the Yorick Coral. The Yuuzhan Vong were taken back by the Infidels counter attack. But they had matched it.

The Grand Cruiser's and Worldship began firing at the Vengence-class Super Star Destroyer. The smaller firgates began to shoot most of the slower missile boats out of the sky, while the Coral Skippers started to take on the TIE's.

The Gruthin Troop Carriers were launched at any ships which had there shield's down. Only they were loaded with powerful warheads. While many were taken out, some reached there intended destination and cuased graved circumstances. 3 attached on to a lancer frigate, which split in half under the imense power.

The Ground troops finally had made it to the planet and began unloading the troops in the thick of the giant army of the seperatists. With the inumerable amount of troops came giant War Beast's that's weaponry could melt an At-At into literally nothing. The shiptenders unloaded all supplies, and then with explosives the seperatist's began a suicide run on the fleet engaging the seperatists.

They sped into orbit where they started to aim for Imperial Capital Ships. The Imperial Gunners had no clue what to do, there were so many of them. More than the number of Coral Skippers even. They began to pummle the shields of the Imperial Fleet, and when they were gone, the real slaughter started.

OOC: I love kamikazies :p

 

Pirate Commander, "Ohh, The Vong have arrived, what idiots, don't they see that this seperatist planet has fallen, and they lay victoms to the gatling blasters on my gunboats!"

"All Gunboats, turn your attention to the vong, wipe them out!!"

The Gunboats turned towards the vong, firing all at once their gatling blasters, the vong dorvin bassels couldn't take in all the fire coming at them, the Vong ships fell fast. The remaining SSD's turned towards the vong, after finishing the remaining seperatist fleet. They unleashed a massive volley of fire at the Grand Cruisers. The Croellian Corvettes also fired all batteries at the vong ships.

OOC: Have fun, the gatling blaster unleashes 1500-2500 blaster shots per minute. Your dorvin bassels are useless, Mmmmuuuuhhhhhaaaa!!!

Also the Pirates reinforcements were on the way!

I'm not sure what just happened. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the ship tenders just land on the planet, then fly back up and attempt to collide with the capitol ships? Thats the impression that I got. If that is so, then this post stands, and if not then just say so, and at a minimum the last paragraph of this post will be nullified and a new one made.

The speedy little missile boats returned to the captiol ships to reload, then returned to the battle. This time their entire load of torpedoes was directed against a single Grand Cruiser, with the projectiles coming from every angle to confuse the dovin basals. (Remember, 300 torps was more than enough to destroy a SSD, and you have 12000 coming at your GrndCrsr

The bombers targeted the dropships and gunships, releasing their entire payload of missiles, torpedoes, bombs, and thermal detonators simultaneously against the targets. They also layed mines in the paths of the coralskipper squadrons and the warships. The dreadnoughts sought out the frigates and attacked in packs.

The main fleet kept up continuous fire against the largest vong ships, typically choosing a single target per fifteen or twenty star destroyers to fire upon at any one time, which helped to overload the dovin basals and cause more damage at one time.

The torpedo spheres were taking considerable damage, but gave out much more than they recieved. Both were nearly as large as the worldship, and used most of their internal space for storing and launching torpedoes and missiles. They continued their ravaging assault upon the worldship, remaining on the lee side of the Vong vessel to stay away from friendly fire.

The synchronized dance of the Vong was incredibly destructive to the Imperials, especially to the TIEs which were at the mercy of the packs of Coralskippers. The Tie fighters recieved the most damage, and were typically used as bait to lure clusters of skips into the line of fire of the defenders and lancers. The interceptors also preferred to be distractions to keep the skips away from the capitol ships.

The sudden kamikazi of the fleet tenders was an unexpected move. The entire firepower of the Imperial captiol ships was temporarily turned against the incoming horde to destroy or knock as many off course as possible. The fleet dispersed to create a more difficult target for the fleet tenders to hit, and to expose them to more angles of fire. The bombers which still had armaments or which had just reloaded dropped their entire payload of mines and missiles in the way. One SSD moved into the course of most of the vessels, to protect the smaller vessels from the incoming waves.

 

OOC: Yeah you got it right 6-6-6...er...7-7-7. And how many Torpedos can torpedo spheres hold?

Aquaris:

The Gunboats attacked the Vong violently. Cuasing a brief moment where nothing seemed to move but the Gatling guns. The the Yammosk took over and started to direct all coral skippers towards the Gunships. Along with the complement of frigates and smaller vessles, the gunships started to drop left and right. The Yammosk took control of the Dovin Bassle's to have to cause the least damage on the ships.

Then the Gattling guns ran out of energy and had to recharge. This allowed for the ships to fire everything they had without worrying about the Doving Bassles.

The larger capital ships started to counter the Super Star Destroyer, and started to head right for it. "This commander must be incompetent. He can't possibly handle the might of this fleet." The Yammosk started to pull the shields of a Super Star Destroyer, then the real slaughter began. The Yuuzhan Vong started to fire on the Super Star Destroyer like there was no tomorrow. There was thousands of secondary explosions as it started to decay.

They Yuuzhan Vong fleet continued to push forward with the help of the remining speratists navy, which had joined up with the Yuuzhan Vong. The fighters had destroyed the last of the Pirates figthers and started to haras the larger figates.

Kothlis:

The missiles came hard and fast agaist the Grand Cruiser. Many were either shot down with Plasma Cannons, or sucked up by the Doving bassals. But there was just too many. As a last sacrafice, the Grand Cruiser went to ram a near-by Super Star Destroyer it had been brawling with when the bombers made an attack. It collided with the now shieldless Super Star Destroyer, and split in to two. Many bombers were lost that had went to rearm.

The mines were proving dificult for the coral skippers. Many coralskippers were vaporized by them, and many were sucked through Dovin Bassles. The entire fleet then decided it was time for the knife like vengence to go. They started out with a volley that supprised the Imperials. Then they launched their Transport Grutchins. Which, instead of being full of troops, were full of very powerful plasma bombs. They kept going, knowing their fate. Few made it, but the few that did cuase tramendous damage to the Vengence.

The bombers came again fresh from the hangars of the Capital Ships with new missles. But now the vong fighters were waiting for them. Then started to pick them off easily. In the ensuing fight, many Imperial ships were lost to mines also, and the Vong took the same casualties.

 

OOC: The Yammosk started to pull the shields of a Super Star Destroyer, umm a yammosk cant do that, plus, all your dorvin bassels would have to concentrate to pull the shields on a SSD, that means your ships are defenseless, plus my gunboats dont fire for a whole minute, they fire in short bursts, saying that they do, Thats Called God-Modding Frosty!

IC:

The Gunboats were taking hits left and right, but they were holding, "Lets pull our shields togather, well stand a better chance." The gunboats went into groups of 5, overlapping their shields. They continued thier attack on the Vong ships, dropping them left and right. The coral skippers were annoying, so the Corellian Gunships started taking them out. The remaining VSD's and SSD's launched a barrage of missiles and laser fire at the Grandcruisers, inciderating 2 instantly, the remaining were badly damaged. The Corellian Corvettes were taking a beating, but they started to gang up on ships, for every vong ship targeted, 8 corvettes would attack it. The pirate fighters were being wiped out completely.

The pirate reinforcements arrived. The new gunboats did the shield overlapping thing, but they were headed to the Vong Battleships, They unleased a FULL BARRAGE OF GATLING BLASTER FIRE, destroying 8 in the fury. the new amouints of VSD I's attacked the smaller frigates. The new corvettes went to protect the SSD's.

 

OOC: That's what i meant, Dovin Bassals. And it would not take my entire fleet to pull the shields off of a Super Star Destroyer, with all of that, i could that to a planet. In Balance Point it takes only one Dovin Bassal to pull the shields off of a Mon Calamari Cruiser. At most it would take me 5.

Ohh, and your post about destroying two of my Grand Cruisers is God-Moding. You say that your ships unleashed a volley, and destroyed 2 and badly damaged the rest. It took the entire Rebel Fleet to destroy one SSD over the coarse of the Battle. A Grand Cruiser is the same, if not more powerful then a Super Star Destroyer. That's basically saying the 2 Super Star Destroyers adn 17 Victory Star destroyers destroyed 2 Super Star Destroyers and heavily damged the other 4. At the most you would destroy one, and damaged another severly. but the other 4 would still be perfectly intact.

IC: The Corellian Gunships did their best to take out the Coralskippers, but under the control of the Yammosk, it was near impossible for the gunners to hit them. The larger Yuuzhan Vong firgates started to destroy the smaller inferior Corellian Gunships. The Gunships joined together making their shields overlap, but now they were easier to hit. Squadrons of Coralskippers started to gain up on them and blasted until there was not more.

One Grand Cruisers was destroyed and another was forced to move back, but the remining fought on. The shield was still down on the Super Star Destroyer, and the Yuuzhan Vong kept firing until it had been destroyed. Going out in a flash of light followed by nothingness. The Yuuzhan Vong started to push foreward into the heart of the Pirate fleet until it was an alout brawl. The Grand Cruisers started to go after the remaining Super Star Destroyer. It was easily outgunned and was losing miserably.

Half of the Destroyers went after the smaller and weaker Victories, which tried to form a group. And the Thousands of Coralskippers continued to harras the Gunships with cover from the Frigates and Gunships which were starting to move the Gunships back.

Stupid power outages, why do the power companies always pick on my neighborhood?

The site where I got the stats for the Torpedo Spheres is currently down, so I could only guess at the number of torps it carries (and I'm not about to try) But I would think that it would be a considerable number, since the torpedo spheres were each close to the size of the death stars.

KOTHLIS:

A second SSD was critically damaged from the attacks, and floated immobile in space, burning and firing with all remaining weapons until the inevitable rupturing of the power core. Several other ships used their tractor beams to direct the burning wreck into the heart of the Vong fleet. The ship exploded with incredible violence and power, forcing the Imperials to slow their advance.

The Vengeance was pierced by the suicide runs from the vong, creating distinct holes which one could see through. The ship did not let up in its attack upon the Vong though. The sheilds were brought back on-line, but at a weaker level, and the attack began again.

In unison, the Imperial capitol ships turned their fire against one of the grand cruisers. The maneuver was unexpected, and easily overloaded the out-of-place dovin basals. The unified firepower was more than enough to ravage the vessel. A volley of torpedoes from the missile boats followed up the turbolaser attack.

The ranks of TIEs had been culled down to the most elite Imperial pilots by the coralskippers. The incredible amount of battle debris, exploded yorik coral, and dead ships gave the Imperial fighters plenty of spaces to set up ambushes for flights of skips, or to hide packs of mines.

The number of Star Destroyers was also being whittled down, but the Imperials still outnumbered the enemy ships. They changed their strategy from a typical capitol ship brawl to picking on individual Vong vessels, working their way down from the largest vessel to the smallest.

One of the Torpedo Spheres which had taken most of the damage decided to turn the balance of power on the battlefield. The enormous vessel activated all of its torpedoes and stores of projectiles, and fell towards the worldship. The dovin basal singularities were too few to consume the entire vessel before it collided with the worldship. The collision between the vessels and the resulting explosion ignited the torpedo and missile stores, as well as the power core of the torpedo sphere. The massive explosion which erupted from the collision between the moon-sized vessels forced the second torpedo sphere back several thousand miles to prevent it from being consumed by the shrapnel and thermonuclear flames.

The Imperial army reached the outskirts of the Confederate captiol city. As the stormtroopers, At-Sts, MT-ATs, floating fortresses and infantry made their way through the thick forests, the AT-ATs and Tank droids remained at a distance and fired high-powered lasers, projectiles, plasma cannons, turbolasers, and particle cannons at the Vong warbeasts and the immense droids of the CSA. The air cruisers remained at a distance, and fired clusters of nuclear energy at the enemy lines.

The darktroopers marched through the forest, rocket launchers at the ready. The Imperial ground troops did not emerge from the forest as a well-ordered group, but as a large mob determined to melt the droids and fry the vong.

 

OOC: Because i've leaving for family with no internet connection, I will do this.

IC:

The supreme overlord saw the torpedo spehere comming and ordered everything to fire upon it. Seeing it did nothing, he ordered what he hoped up would have to do. He ordered his two damaged Grand Cruisers to ram it in hopes of throwing it of coarse. But it did nothing. The explosion decimated both the Imperials and Yuuzhan Vong. All of the remining Yuuzhan Vong ships had been destroyed due to the orbit they had taken around the Worldship.

The Imperials suffered no better. The Vengence had been hit with a giant chunck of Yorick Coral and had ripped it apart. Only a handful of Imperial Ships were left, and those were severly damaged. Then on the ground the apocalypse came. The debris from the massive explosion entered the planets atmosphere and came down as if it were armageddon. Some of the larger pieces hit and ruined the planets eco-system. One hit where the Imperials had put there tank droids and At-At's, vaporizing them instantly. Then a second came on the Vong/Seperatists side and killed many of the troops.

Aquairs:

The Yuuzhan Vong ships got word at what happened at Kothlis as were torn apart. They all stood down, and hooped the enemy would too, they then sent every faction in the Galaxy this peace note.

The war has taken it's tole on the Yuuzhan Vong. We are withdrawing from this galactic conflict, the price is too high. I would suggest everyone else do too, before it is too late.

With that the Yuuzhan Vong left the system Aquaris for their homeworld.

OOC: Ok, if you don't like what i just did you can by all means change it. But i'm done with this now since tommorrow i will be leaving to see family.

[b]Telti[/b]----- The tidel wave of missiles collided with the surface of Telti and the Confederate Fleet stationed there. Tearing whole battleships to scrap metal and decimating ground forces waiting for the arrival of the enemy in strategic junctions of the planets surface. Wat Tambors command vessel exploded under 200 hundred missiles carefully aimed at the center Core and the "C" of his battleships frame. Mass anarchy took control at Telti, Tambors subordinates told all forces to do cause maximum damage. The Separatist Fleet advanced......

Aqauris------ Po Nudo wen't into a underground command bunker even as the Yuuzhan Vong arrived to hold the planet. It was quite futile for the Separatist,the skeleton defense force was too small to hold off a all-out subjucation of the planet(most of my air forces are gone)

Kothlis------ The immense concentration of Starships at the capital did well for a good defense. The 100 plus battleships belched forward unleashing salvo's of refitted Turbolaser fire at the pincered Emperials whose attention had been drawn away from their main target-Kothlis and forced to fight from two fronts againest the Yuuzhan Vong. The [i]Mothership[/i] repairs not even completed lunged into the fray. Two Battleships lurched out of its inner factories and a steady stream of assembled Droid figghters as well. Every last Techno Union ship launched from the surface and did what they could.

On the ground the gigantic swarm of Separatist Troops,vehicles,and Deflection Towers redied for the endless columns of Stormtroopers rushing in as well as convoys of walkers etc. The capital was the prize and both factions were ready to take or hold the city.

 

OOC: Ummm.. saber... using the stats used by most all websites in the free world... that barrage of missles could have destroyed 7600 ISD's, i dont know how anything you had could survive.....but ill play along..

The fighters and bombers came closer to the remaining enemy forces.. aquiring thier targets, they launched another barage of missles....
