Art Archive Star Wars Glass SWG Fanart

(Since I seem to have posted this in the wrong thread I've relocated this into here.)

I haven't been here in ages, so here's my born-again debut ... I'm a glass artist and occasionally I enjoy making sculptures inspired by critters from star wars. There's one based on the acklay, it's 18" diagonally across, it's made entirely from borosilicate glass (the jedi, too) ... although the lightsaber effect has obviously been photoshopped in . After completion, the acklay was sandblasted to a fine satin texture.

Hello taxman, and welcome back to Fan Art! And I'll second the "WOW!!" in the previous comment--these are fantastic!! The detailing in the acklay is astounding--it must have taken ages to get it done--and the Krayt dragon is fabulous, as well--love the colors! I'm so impressed--glasswork seems like rocket science to me, so you definitely have my admiration and respect! These are superb--and thanks for sharing them with us!
