It is a time of war. The Rebellion, beaten back on Hoth and several other planets, is losing hope in its fight against the Galactic Empire. Several counteroffensives have been executed by the Alliance, but each one has been pushed back by Imperial forces, causing hundreds of casualties and a large loss of equipment and vehicles. The Empire is looking to go for the throat of the Alliance with sizeable assaults on remaining Alliance strongholds. Hope is running short in the Rebel ranks, and many see that the end might be near for their insurrection against the Empire.

However, unbeknownst to the Imperials, the Rebellion has created a small commando fighting force, the 2nd Paratrooper Company (also known as Hope Company, as they are seen as the last hope for the Rebellion), a group of specially-trained soldiers that are secretly gearing up for an attack on an Imperial world that, if successful, would grant the Alliance extra breathing room in the war. Still, the battle will not be easy; the paratroopers will have to scale a hillside littered with Imperial batteries and Infantry divisions, an insurmountable task for normal soldiers. However, the 2nd is the only hope that the Alliance has to continue the fight; if they fail, the war would end quickly and the Empire would prevail.

Several dozen men have been chosen for the 2nd, and they are now being shipped to a secret Rebel base on the grassland world of Tevius in the Outer Rim. Here, they will train for their attack on the Imperials; the road into battle will not be easy, nor will the fight. However, these men are confident that they will be able to win the battle and keep the war going in hopes that the Rebellion will eventually find a way to vanquish the Empire and bring peace to the galaxy.

Welcome to Star Wars: Hope Company, the RPG that revolves around the upcoming battle at the Imperial stronghold on the planet of Gryynb. As with any RPG, if you want to play, you'll have to follow by the following rules:

    1. No Godmoding. It's been said many times before (and undoubtedly will be said many times in the future), that creating a super-character with unheard-of abilities really ruins the point of a game. If you wish to play this game, you will not GodMode. Any infraction of this rule will result in immediate death of your character and removal from the game!
    2. I, the GM, will have the final say on what goes on during the course of the game. If you have an issue with a decision that I make, please do not make a spectacle in the thread berating me (or anyone else, for that matter) of making a decision that is against your liking. Please PM me in a polite manner if you disagree with my decision, and I will try to help you out to the best of my abilities.
    3. Along with the above-mentioned no-tolerance of flaming, I also do not want to see any Spam or other inappropriate behavior that is against the Terms of Service. Violations of this rule will result in removal from the game!
    4. Please try and keep OOC posts to a minimum. If you must make an OOC to explain something that might have been missed, then by all means do so; however, this does not give you the right to challenge the way other people role-play. Please be respectful, and only use OOC posts when necessary.
    6. Have Fun, and follow the rules at all times.

Because this is an RPG based on a small group of characters, I want a maximum of 10 players at any one time in this game. No matter the situation, I want only two Imperial players in the game; the rest will be Rebel paratroopers.

    The Character Sheet:

For the Rebels, there can only be one lieutenant and one sergeant. The rest o

GM Corrections: When I said the available weapons for Rebel paratroopers, I meant that portable missile launchers/heavy machine gun are possibilities. You can choose to have a blaster if it fits your character, or another weapon if you so choose.

I have a Lieutenant and two Sergeants. All other Rebel players must be privates! I also still need two Imperials.

    Homeworld: Corellia
    Rank: Lieutenant
    Height: 5'9"
    Weight: 170 lbs.
    - Clothing: When off-duty, Tans is usually a casual dresser. Having grown up in a lower-middle class family, he never had great amounts of money to spend on clothing and, now, as a Rebel officer, it seems he has even less to spend. If he is not in his uniform, which he keeps pressed to perfection, then he is wearing something purchased at a local thrift store (i.e. slacks, shirt, vest or jacket, and loafers).
    - Physical Features: Like many Corellian males, Tans possesses a certain rugged handsomeness, although it is mixed with his still youthful features. He is a man of average stature and above-average overall looks. He is in excellent physical shape, although he is more the 'lean and mean' type than the muscleman.
    - Other Articles of Note: He has several minor scars on his body. He has no tattoos, piercings, birthmarks or deformities.
    -Rebel Alliance
    -Being 'one of the guys'
    -Corellian history and culture
-Han Solo (he does not know him personally, but every Anti-Imperial Corellian venerates Solo ever since the Battle of Yavin)

    -Being told the odds
    -Being bossed around
    -Dictators (especially a certain Emperor)
-Xenophobes (another thing he hates about Imperials)
Worst Fear: Any large/monstrous creature (i.e. Rancors, Sarlaccs, Acklays, etc.)
    Basic Weapon
    - Primary: BlasTech EE-3 carbine rifle (electronic scope attached)
    - Secondary: BlasTech DL-44 blaster pistol
    Additional Weapons: Combat knife
Tans Delek was born on the planet of Corellia, the only child of Ulrick and Lana Delek, owners of a small cantina in Coronet City (the planetary capital). Like many other small business owners, the Deleks were usually only a couple of payments away from losing their business. Even though there were plenty of spacers and low-lifes to inhabit their cantina, these customers paid bottom-dollar and, thus, the cantina suffered from cash flow problems. Still, despite these issues, the Deleks loved their son and always made sure his necessities were provided for.

As a youth, Tans was a bit of a wild child, getting into fights, but nothing really major. When he reached high school, he maintained excellent grades (prior to that point, he had viewed school as not being that important, although he had always been a smart child), although he still got into the occasional scuffle or two. He graduated with good enough grades to earn a scholarship to Corellia University (without said scholarship, he would never have been able to attend college; after all, his folks certainly did not have that kind of money). In college, he majored in Starship Engineering (one of the more popular majors, considering the fame of the Corellian Engineering Corporation). Although he did well as a college student, the proverbial wanderlust got to him and, although, the CEC offered to reimburse his tuition if he went for a graduate degree in Starship Engineering, Tans quit after his Bachelor's degree, wanting a little bit of adventure.

It was while serving as an engineering officer aboard a civilian freighter that Tans first came into contact with the Rebellion. While awaiting a customs inspection, the Imperial station came under attack by Rebel forces. When the attack occurred, it seemed Imperial forces assumed the freighter Tans was serving on was also part of the attack and opened fire. Badly damaged, the freighter was about to be destroyed when Tans made it to one of the escape pods. As it would turn out, he would be one of only a handful of crew to survive. A Rebel ship quickly picked up his pod and, realizing the Empire would now label him a cohort of the Rebellion's, Tans had no choice but to join the Rebel side. Undergoing military training, Tans was quite pr

    NPC: General Sperk

The landing ship landed softly on the grassy plains of Tevius, a planet in the Outer Rim territories. General Sperk, accompanied by two armed Rebel troopers, stepped off the landing craft and made their way to the small office that handled all information for the compound. It was a perfect day, with not too much heat but a very light breeze prevented it from being way too hot outside. Sperk and his guards made their way towards to the office, where they were met by a Rebel guard. The guard saluted, and Sperk gave the man one back. Nodding, the guard let the General and the other two into the office door, turning around once again to stare at the vast expanse of grass on the planet.

As Sperk walked through the building, he was met by the secretary for Lt. Colonel Plos Marshall, a close friend of his for several years the commanding officer of the paratrooper training on Tevius. "Welcome to Tevius, General," the secretary said with a smile. "I hope that you will find your trip here worthwhile."

"I most certainly hope that I will," responded the General. "Say, do you know where Plos is? We need to discuss some things."

"He's up in his office. Second floor, end of the hallway," responded the secretary. As Sperk acknowledged her, he walked away, the guards still in tow as he made his way to the turbolift. Opening the door, he and the guards entered, and one of them pressed the button to go up to the second floor. Looking at the panel, Sperk could see that there were more floors than just the two he had previously known about. Turning to one of the guards as the lift rose, Sperk asked,

"Trooper, do you know why there are more than two floors in this office?"

"Yes, I do, sir" responded the trooper, stiff as he stood in standar military formation. "In case of Imperial attack, the commanding officer's office would not be at the very top, which would be the first place an invasion force would go."

"Very interesting, very interesting . . ." Sperk commented. "Plos knows what he's doing. Fine man, Plos is."

"He is a fine commanding officer, General," said the other trooper.

"I can't argue about that," the General replied. "I've known Plos for a while, and he is one of the greatest field commanders we have in the Rebellion. He has my regards." At this time, the doors opened, and the trio stepped out. As they made their way to the door of Marshall's office, one of the guards stayed by the lift door, standard procedure during war time. The General knew that a guard at the entrance to the lift could make the difference between his death and an escape in case the Imperials came crashing down on them while he was on an official visit. Still, he didn't like having to have two guards on him all the time; it got annoying being watched by two individuals at all times except when he was in his private quarters.

A hand scanner was outside the door. Placing his palm on the reader, Sperk was able to open the door quickly, and he and his guard stepped through the threshold into Marshall's office. Inside, Lt. Colonel Marshall was sitting behind his desk, back turned to the two men. "Lt. Colonel," Sperk said boldly. Marshall turned around quickly.

"Sir! Welcome to Tevius. Have a seat." Sperk pulled a chair up to the desk, and his guard stood in the doorway.

"You don't happen to have refreshments, do you?" asked Sperk. "I could use a little water after my trip." Marshall nodded, and poured the General a small cup of water out of the pitcher on his desk. Sperk took the cup graciously and sipped at the liquid.

"So, sir, I take it that you're here to take inventory on the 2nd?" asked Marshall.

"Exactly, Plos," replied the General. "I've been informed by Rebellion High Command that the 2nd might need to go into action soon, but nothing was said where that would be or when. With all of the Imperial strongholds in the galaxy, it could be just about anywhere."

"Sir, we just got a new shipment of recruits in a week ago," Marshall said. "They bare

After the troops were dismissed Bendak filled his pack with what he thought was about twenty pounds of rocks, and set out to run a ten mile course he had plotted out the day before. He needed to be alone for the moment. The mix of anger from being shoved and the shame from almost wrecking another trooper?s jaw in front of the Colonel made him feel even more confused about being here.

He didn?t know what he was doing or what the job of a paratrooper was. He knew he owed the Rebel Alliance his life but he wondered if this was the right way to pay them back. Of all the things he wondered about the one that weighed heaviest on his mind was the General.

?Why would a General come all the way to the Outer rim just to check up on us? This is no job for a general,? he thought out loud. It didn?t seem to make any sense to him.

After his run he went to the outer office of Lt. Colonel Marshall.

?I would like to speak with the Lt. Colonel. Is he in,? he said without even looking to see if the secretary was in.

Axel was lounging on a lamp above, watching the recruit and their behaviour. He figured the best way to train the men was to know how each one acted, and be prepared for anything that type of personality would bring. He turned as the doors opened to the parade grounds, showing Marshall and General Sperk, he sighed. He hadn't actually been done observing each of the men and only understood a handful of them.

General Sperk made the much expected intro speech, and then requested for the two lieutenants. Axel sighed, and jumped down on to the man's shoulder, knowing fully well that he would barely be noticed.

"Here." He stated quietly almost into the ear of the general. A rank he would've held almost twenty five years ago. He felt that some people wouldn't recognize the significance to the capabilities of a Kushiban, but disregarded the thought as he waited for Tans to respond.

"Welcome, paratroopers-to-be," he said in a cheery voice. "If you do not know, I am General Sperk, and I have come to see how much the 2nd Paratrooper Company has progressed in their first week of training. I know that Lt. Colonel Marshall here would normally try to give you a full training regiment, but the Rebellion really needs paratrooper companies right now. Becoming a paratrooper will not be easy, but I think that with enough trainign and discipline, that you men can become an elite company. Now, where are the Lieutenants of this outfit? I would like to confer with both of you and Lt. Colonel Marshall on the status of the training program going on here on Tevius."

Brak stood there, listening to the General. He felt quite annoyed that this general came out of nowhere and had decided to interupt their training with his little speech. as the general was speaking, he had this blank stare of disbelief. He allowed the general to finish talking before he resumed repairing a small droid. he quickly finished this small task an began talking to a nearby comrade. he was Jareth Orin, a zabrak and a seargent to the company.

"hey Jareth, what's with this general stopping by? I mean he comes out of...Nowhere, to do what? to check in on us? I just hope he isn't here to give us some suicidal mission, ya know. Hey, man do you want a drink" Brak then reaches into his pack and pulls out a canteen. He flips the lid open and begins to drink, after he finishes his small gulp of the ale, his face squints. He then hands the canteen to Jareth."here man."

SCT-1475 met up with Commander A-1387 to discuss the layout of the stronghold. As soon as he appeared with his Lance, Commander A-1387 immediately spoke-

"SCT-1475, I need you to determine a position for your sniping in case of a Rebel attack. I doubt that those scum would actually have the guts to fight us here, but I cannot be too over-confident. With you being our premier sniper, I need to know exactly where you are going to be in case of an attack so that we won't shoot you."

SCT-1475 then turned to his troops and gave a signal telling them to head up to the position discussed. he then turns around and speaks again to commander A-1387.

"Gentlemen, I am visiting the compound here to find out how the training is going. This is because the 2nd might need to go into combat soon, and High Command wants these men to be ready for combat when they are needed. Lt. Colonel Marshall tells me that you got new recruits about a week ago. How are these men faring so far?"

A-1387 nodded after Sergeant SCT-1475 spoke to him. "I agree that the Rebellion might try to take the fight here, but I also doubt that they would have the guts to send their men on a suicide mission here. With our defenses, they would never get through. On another matter, if you and your men are going to another spot for sniping, make sure to radio your new positions in. That is all."

"yes, understood commander. we will radion all our moves in before we make them. ahe, we don't wanna be blasted of the surface of this planet. we will head to our positions. we will also give you an update on the area surrounding us."

SCT-1475 and his Lance then moved there way to the position up the steep hill. many thought were running through his head, but one seemed to create a more disturbing feel in the pit of his stomach. he then turns to the troopers in his Lance.

"listen, all of you. I don't wann be caught off gaurd by any rebel threat. you better keep your eyes peeled and your guns ready at all times. i have a feeling we're about to see some action soon enough."

    Lieutenant Tans Delek
    Tevius, Outer Rim

Tans Delek was glad he had taken the extra time this morning to make sure everything was in order. He had made sure his service uniform was ironed and starched to a crisp and that his regulation boots were polished to a near mirror shine; he had also very recently received a haircut and he was entirely clean shaven as well. Obviously, it had been a coincidence--albeit a very positive one--that the day he decided to make sure he was polished was the day a flag officer would arrive to check up on things. Or maybe he was a Jedi and just did not know it yet. Yeah right.

When he had heard of the General's approach and saw the poor formation of the recruits, he was quite truthfully embarrassed at the mess these troops seemed to be in. Heck, two of them bumped into each other and almost got into a fight. Shameful. At least it appeared that General Sterk had not noticed anything too bad. Still, now was not the time to be stupid on the line. Oh well.

After Sterk's little speech and his call for both lieutenants, Delek stepped forward, saluting the General crisply, "As requested, sir," he said promptly and in a disciplined tone of voice. Even though he was Corellian, from a planet not known for its discpline, Delek had learned fast in the Rebellion. It was the key to survival. He would maintain his salute until it was returned by Sterk.

    IC - Axel

Axel took in what the general said, and responded,

"The new recruits...well if they were younglings back at the temple, I would say that they were learning at a satisfactory rate. But with the fact that there may be an immenent need of the 2nd, I'd have to say that we'd have to double the training regime. I'm not entirely sure how that would play over with them..." Axel then sighes and looks across the parade grounds where the men were sociallizing. They were most likely discussing the presense of the general. Axel truly didn't care, but he assumed that there would be a bit more tension amongst the troops and therefore training might a tad more difficult.

Storm Commando Unit ? Serial Zero-Forty-Two or, 42, for short has no life prior to his induction to, what Imperial records only list as. ?The perfect Human soldier.? Believed to have been handpicked at a certain age, most likely nineteen years, he was one of fifty other to go through hell incarnated. 42 went through mental and physical abuse, enough to send the most common man insane, as the Galactic Empire went on its quest to seed out the finest soldiers in the universe. Basically torture.

Like the others who survived the training, the tests, and the near impossible missions handed out. 42 had, in some irony, lost his humanity and became more in tune with an Assassin droid but none the less stood out as one of the perfect soldiers to survive. Afterwards 42 has been deployed time and time again. From putting an end to rebel insurrections to killing off incompetent Imperial Generals, everything is just another objective to 42; Who once again finds himself off to another world, to partake, in another battle.

Being the only son of two engineer's held a platform to which Rajah's thinking process, and compacity was pushed to limits beyond normal yet he also discovered a fondness for the outdoors and also for reflective thinking as well.

At the age of eighteen Rajah joined an underground cell of the Rebellion while attending a Engineering college, and soon devoted all his time to the Rebellion by enlisting into the cell's gurellia tactic's force in the area. A decade has passed now since Rajah's induction into the Rebellion, and also to military life to which he feels fulfilled for the moment. Rajah has seen the effects of the empire on many planets, and is willing to serve in hope that his small contribution might make a differance for another some day.

    Tevius, Outer Rim

The first few days on Tevius had been filled with various scuffles many started roughly because their was nothing else to occupy their time. Rajah had been on numerous units working with personalities of all types coming from countless different species, and so had been able to navigate through those first days without much incident enabling him to focus on the training at hand. Life as a rebel warrior was pressing enough, and early on his time with the Rebellion the Tarpanian had learned that even the smallest slip up could cost one dearly to which Rajah paid careful attention to each detail of his waking existences. Going through stretches to loosen his muscles for the day, and allow blood to find passage to each area of his body Rajah marveled just in the temporary peace in his life as he trained for a new calling.

"Good things never last", the Tarpani Private mused to himself with a sigh of content as alla round him snapped to attention even if it was lacking precision or grace of what you might find in the Imperial side of things.

A General was in their midst, and Rajah found his last thought materializing right before him in the form of the high officer. It was only time before the group of men training on Tevius were going to put together into action, and as limited as the Rebellion resources where to have put this training together Rajah strongly suspected that what their purpose would serve would no doubtedly be crucial to whatever the higher ups had cooked up.

Standing attention Rajah allowed for his eyes to observe each person standing with him, and noted that it was probably the last time he would ever seem many of them in a non combative
