Calgary Star Wars in Concert

Tickets for the concert and exhibit go on sale Saturday. However these tickets cost $350. I decided not to go for it, since we'd be seeing similar (if not better) exhibits at C5.

Hmmmm.......looks like I'm sitting by myself. That'll take a lot fun out of it. :-(

 

ticket master has tickets rangining from 59 to 99 dollars for Rexall

 

It'll still be fun, Kris. Although many of us aren't sitting together, we can meet up beforehand and then head down all together

Ky-Wan - prices are the same for Calgary. Floor seats were $100 (including taxes), and obviously cheaper the farther away from the stage you sit. The Platinum package was really pricey at $350 - which includes the exhibit. Sad to miss out on seeing that, but we'll be seeing much of the same or better in Florida later this year

Well, that's how it reads on the site anyway. Let's hope the VIP tickets just mean you get to see the exhibit early...and that regular tickets holder get to see it later...

Everyone gets to see the exhibit the only difference with the VIP one is the meet and greet with Anthony Daniels, early admission to the exhibit, and a food/drink area. The exhibit will be all around the concourse of the arena it's in.

 

Since I can't get tickets anywhere close to most of you and based on reviews from other SW concerts, I am going to try for something along the sides/corner, and not on the floor.

I wonder if the local Rebel Legion and 501st will be invited, as in other cities.

 

I know the 501st have been contacted according to Scot. But nobody knew what is going on yet as they just announced the show

 

I am going to the afternoon show with my 6 year old..both of us in costume.
If anyone wants to meet up before hand let me know here or at the meetings.

Word on the street is that you'll be able to get in 1.5 hours before the show to view the exhibit. Advice from fellow FF'ers who've been to the concert, is that you might want to hit the store and get your merchandise first - as many items sell out fast.

Shall we all meet at a designated area beforehand? Grab a drink and head over all together? Maybe around 5 pm?? Other than Vinny, is everyone else going to the 7:30 show?? And does everyone have a ticket? Kris - did you get yours??

there is also an intermission which is also a good time to view the exhibbit

 

The intermission is only 20 minutes from what I've heard. So you won't have lots of time to view the props. Just go early and stay late is the plan. lol

 

There's not many restaurants around the 'dome, so why don't we go out after the concert instead? We can discuss before or after the show.

Let's meet at 5:30, in front of main (front) doors to the 'dome. Just underneath the walkway. Look for the shirts!
