OOG/OOC; Sorry...I forgot to change that before I posted. Doh!

    IC; Kasumi
    Johnny Boy, Hangar Bay

    Kasumi smiled at seeing Sydney.

"Just wanted to make sure you were ok after the attack of the alarms. Is there anything I can help you with so you can get to were you were going?"

Buddy rolled up next to Kasumi and whistled an "I found him" playful tone.

Kasumi smiled at her mechanical friend.

"Forgive me. I'm sure you see so many people. I'm Kasumi, and this is Buddy."

    IC: Fress Colias
Johnny Boy heading towards the hanger bay

?Fress, if you want to figure out what it is you think I need to work on, I would be grateful. I?m going to see if Liam is doing ok since every alarm was going off in here. Buddy..?

Fress gave a short nod as Kasumi walked off towards Sydney. Off the top of her head was telling Kasumi not to step into temporarily lead since she just admitted not to having too much experience behind the stick. She shook her head not sure if she should point it out or not. Deciding not to go there she reflected on Kasumi?s performance from earlier.

Fress thought back to what could?ve happened and thankfully it didn?t get that far. Kasumi ordered two flight towards the King?s squadron when a squadron of TIEs was making their way to the Johnny Boy. Despite her pointing this piece of information out over the comms to Spook, she felt like she was suddenly ignored.

Fress held back for a minute to make sure they would take off and retreat without incident. Thankfully the Lead for the TIEs called off the attack after she sent the message through the Force and they exchanged laser blasts. She rejoined Kasumi and the others afterwards by slipping under the battle unnoticed and coming up beside her wingmate. Since nothing was said over the comms, she knew they didn?t notice she was not with the group.

Fress started to think on Kasumi?s performance and knew she had trouble shooting back. Now that she thought about it, didn?t Kasumi sit there and watch for a minute? Which were a dangerous thing to do and a one-way ticket to being taken out early in the battle. She knew Kasumi was letting her take most of the shots. The number two rule was to shot first ask questions later. The number one rule was to be somewhere else when the shooting starts.

Fress knew Kasumi didn?t like to kill, no one did but when you?re in a war. It was either you die or the other guy died and disabling the engines on TIEs leaving them without taking out the weapons wasn?t a good thing either. There was no sense in leaving a live weapon at your back. Plus Kasumi?s mind was wandering since the beginning of the battle.

Fress didn?t originally plan on going there but the more she thought about it, the more she began to realize it was inevitable. She only delayed the discussion.

    IC: Sydney Ayres
    Johnny Boy Hangar

Sydney smiled. ?I appreciate your concern. The day was going just fine before the alarms went off. I?m Sydney Ayres, by the way, Hangar Chief, nice to meet you. I think I may have seen you briefly in the mess hall at one point in time. I see so many faces around here, usually of the mechanical variety. I don?t get out much, don?t really care to, and if you need anything for whatever craft you fly, just ask.?

He studied Kasumi a little more. Something about her was different. He couldn?t put his finger on it but the way she looked at him made Sydney a little uncomfortable. Like she could see into him.

Yeah, right, Syd. the Hangar Chief thought as he examined the R2 astromech droid.

?When was the last time this guy got a bath? He?s got gunk all over him!? Sydney declared, not trying to be rude.

?Sorry, just notice things like that. Anyways, these hangar doors, the darndest things, they aren?t opening up,? Ayres grunted as he popped open a service panel to see what he could do to manually override the lock.

OOC/OOG: Feel free to get those doors open, Coffee, any way you see fit.

OOG: Just a reminder, the only person on board the Johnny Boy that knows Josch?s true name is Kasumi, everyone else would know him as Zieleb-Xan Macja or ?Mac?. I adjusted Lasso?s first com-message to reflect this. :D

    IC: Josch Decinchi
    Aurora Cradmoon?s Quarters, Johnny Boy
?WOW!? was all that Josch could say as Aurora?s prefect ruby lips parted from his once more. He stood there for several heartbeats and just looked at her beautifully glowing continence. He tried to take in and memorize every little detail of her face just in case he did not get to look upon her again for a while. He took a deep breath so that his olfactory system could retain her scent. Slowly he reached up and brushed the strands of hair that had fallen down over her left eye back behind her ear.

Finally he broke the silence, ?As fantastic as the last few moments have been, I didn?t actually come here to ah? do that. What I was trying to say was that I was sorry for upsetting you in the Mess Hall.? He ran the back of his hand down from her left ear to her cheek and traced along her jaw line. As his fingers reached her chin he placed his hands on her shoulders and slid them down into her hands. He clasped his hands in hers and held on to them gently.

?I didn?t want you to think that I was snubbing you for Kasumi. She and I go back a ways and we had not seen each other for a while. So I wanted to catch up with her before we all got sent out on our various missions. Speaking of which,? he reached down to his utility belt and pulled his comlink off of it. He had felt it go off again when Aurora had pulled him in for the second kiss, ?We better find out who?s been looking for us.?

With the push of a couple of buttons he listened to the first of two messages. ?This is Flight Lieutenant Jason Lasso transmitting special orders from Command Staff, Pilot Officer Aurora Cradmoon and Pilot Officer Zieleb-Xan Macja, report to the Briefing Room immediately. Lasso out.?

Stang! This is not going to be good.

He pushed another button to delete the first and listen to the second message. ?Zieleb-Xan, Aurora, Sydney? whenever was being late to a meeting considered okay??

As he put his comlink back into it?s appropriate spot on his belt, he looked up into Aurora?s sparkling eyes, ?Well I guess we might as well go face the firing squad.? He took up her hand again and started to lead her out of the room, when he suddenly stopped, turned around to face her, and pressed his lips to hers once more. But this time he only lingered there for a couple of seconds before he broke away from her. ?Look on the bright side,? he said with a grin, ?At least we aren?t the only ones running late. I wonder what the Chief?s excuse is going to be.? He leaned in closer and lowered his voice a little, as if he was telling her a secret, ?Perhaps he was busy making out with one of those fancy new snubfighters I saw in the hanger bay. What do you think??

With that he turned back to the door, opened it, and escorted Aurora to the Briefing Room.

    Her Quarters

    Zieleb-Xan? That was his name?

Something about it didn?t fit. Usually names didn?t matter much to Aurora at all. But Zieleb? Aurora shook it off, accepting his shock at their kiss. . .or multiple kisses. Then, after reading the messages on her comlink, Aurora went into shock. How would they explain what they had been doing? Jason couldn?t know, because he?d surely run to Kasumi or Fress. And then everything would most definitely hit the fan.

?What do we say?? Aurora asked as Zieleb pulled her along. ?I mean, about what we are doing. I know you?re probably pretty good at hiding what was going on, but me? I?m like an open book.?

She jerked him back, making him stop to look at her in the eyes.

?And know this,? She rubbed his hands. ?In the Mess Hall. . .I thought. . .and I know, this sounds stupid. . .but I thought that you were avoiding me. Because you didn?t like me.? She rolled her eyes. ?Now I know, that?s not the truth, but in the Mess Hall I felt stupid!? She laughed again.

?It?s sweet.? She nodded. ?Coming to see me.?

OOG: I've been given orders by my fiancee... Imperial March

    ;)

    IC: Pit Droid #2
Hanger Bay, Johnny Boy, Expansion Regions

His life was simple. He was given orders to fix things and he did it. Today, for DUM-series pit droid Number 2, it started out as any other day. Playing cards with the other four PIT droids around one of the crates. For whoever though Pit Droids were dumb and didn't have the droid brain to do more then simple...

A course, it had helped that through the almost two decades worth of service for The Mercs, Number 2 and his Pit Droid comrades had got several upgrades from the various Hanger Chiefs through the years. One such Chief, a few years ago, had installed the Pit Droids with gaming hardware. Why, was beyond Number 2's reasoning, but all he knew was that the Wookiee brothers Talka?pa and Kalka?tech's credit accounts were getting lighter and lighter and the Chief's was getting fatter and fatter.

No matter. The game is what mattered at the moment. Old data, something that could---

    [[[Redirect...code process A-2-R...activate]]]

That odd series of commands again. Number 2 knew better then to fight with such commands. It was probably being transmitted by Ler again. Disengaging from his board game, which caused his other three Pit Droid comrades to get upset, Number 2 slipped behind several fighters. Finding the access hatch that lead to the Johnny Boy's power and information hard lines throughout the ship, the droid made sure the cost was clear, then slipped inside. Once inside, he grabbed the data-pad---which was plugged into a control board---that the mysterious man in ninja black clothing had handed him just hours prior. He typed in a handful of commands, unplugged the data-pad and came out. Number 2 reemerged from the fighters and calmly took his place at the gaming table again, keeping the data-pad with him.

[[[End redirect...code process B-1-V...disengage...erasing immediate memory files of event...complete.]]]

If things had gone correctly, then the Hanger Bay should have gone back to normal and those particular personal quarters' blast doors should be unlocked now.

A moment of pause as he sat there, then the droid seemed to rejoin his lively Pit Droids at the game of cards.

If a memory scan was done on the droid, all information of the event would be erased from his memory banks. Likewise, the data-pad had gone through a "critical failure" and all recent activity and downloads had been lost.

OOC/OOG: Contrary to popular belief?there was no order given. There as a miscommunication about a force ability that was being discussed. Silly boy.

    IC: Kasumi

    Johnny Boy, Hangar Bay

Kasumi watched as the doors hesitated opening and then shut again. What ever the droid had tried had failed to work.
She thought of ways that she could help, but none of the ideas would have made either Taller happy and would have made more work for Sydney. She closed her eyes for a moment and decided on using an ability that she was not strong at, but she could maybe get the doors open enough so that he could get out, or that they could push the doors open more. Kasumi opened her eyes and walked toward the doors and gently placed a hand on them.

    ?Sydney, please step back.?

Kasumi focused on the electrical devices in the door. One by one she heard each click into place. Then, by usingelectronic manipulation, she as able to get the doors open just enough to let Sydney get out.

?Is that enough? I?m sorry I can?t open them more right now.?

She was tiring, she could tell. She would need rest soon, but she wanted to get some of these pointers from Fress. She had a feeling that her timing and what not during the last battle had Fress doubting her abilities. She understood that. She wasn?t really strong in that area, but she felt she had done descent for the first time run.

Buddy whistled to get her attention.

?I?m sorry?.let?s get you cleaned up a bit.?

Buddy whistled happily. Kasumi took him over to another part of the hangar and started cleaning him up while she waited for Fress.

Fress could tell Kasumi was starting to get tired. She herself could use some serious right about now. Better talk to her now while they still could. She walked over to Kasumi as she opened and closed her fists trying to dispel the anxiety she was feeling. ?Kasumi, I know you asked me for some pointers. Some of the training has to be done in a simulator or in a real fighter. I can tell you what you need to work on. When you?re in a battle you don?t hesitate to shoot back, usually it?s the last mistake most rookies make. We?re in a war and its either you die or the other guy dies. You did okay for a green pilot, there is a lot of potential that I have seen in you to be a fighter jock. I know that you allowed me to take most of the shots out there. I noticed you took out the engines on a couple. Even with the engines gone, there is still enough power for the individual to take you out with the weapons. Never leave a live weapon behind you?re back. It?s a mistake that very few walk away from.?

Fress bit on her lower lip then shook her head. She had to come out with it or it would allow her to come up with sore feelings towards Kasumi. ?There is something that is bothering me. We had our orders to protect the capital ships. When Jason left he did put me in charge of Two Flight. Just before the battle I was promoted to Flying Officer and if anything happened to Jason. I would assume Two Flight?s lead position. Your intentions to protect the King?s squadron were good, but in the long run the Johnny Boy could?ve been destroyed. With only two fighters left to protect the ship and with a squad of TIEs closing in from underneath the battle itself. There was a chance it could?ve turned out for the worst. There?s a reason why you don?t leave a ship wide open without snub fighters protecting it. The bigger the ship the more weaknesses can be found and sometimes it just takes one lucky shot to take out an entire ship. If you hadn?t taken Two Flight to the Kings Aide, I would?ve taken Two Flight below the battle to intercept the TIEs. I went down there by myself and exchanged laser blasts with the Lead TIE and after implanting a message into his mind for Vader. I let him escape. I figure there was enough killed already without adding more casualties. He ordered his squad to retreat. I moved underneath the battle to rejoin Two flight. When you?re in lead, you have to take outcomes into consideration. Your decision in the end will not only impact the squad, but can and will impact others around you if the wrong decision was made during battle.?

"I understand the sacrifice that is to be made when you are in lead and the decisions that are to be made. I went to the Kings convoy to help after asking Jeth if that was ok and if everything would be fine if I chose to do that. I would never abandon my team, rather, if it meant my life or theirs, I would give mine. I am sorry if my actions made you feel as though I was abandoning the team. My main goal in that was not just to make sure that the teams reinforcements were safe, but that they were not cut off from the rest of us as that seemed to be the goal of TIEs and the other Imperial ships. As for the ships that I did not get rid of, most of them were sent back for repairs on their weapons."

    Kasumi paused for a moment.

"I also get the feeling that you think that I hesitated too much out there. I know I did for a bit, but rushing head on into something like that will get you killed for sure. I was just taking a moment to ensure my Focus was where it needed to be as well as taking that time to use some of the force skills I have to confuse the TIE pilots to hopefully help our outcome. I'm not sure how I could have made that transition smoother, but if you had any advice please let me know."

    Kasumi paused again.

"If it's been bothering you for this long, why didn't you say anything before this to me?"

?I was prepared to let it go, the more I thought about it. I felt suddenly like the rank was pulled over me before I had to chance to access anything. By the time I detected an immediate threat, Jeth had already given the okay and I tried to grab everyone?s attention. I don?t know if any one heard the comm call or not?. ? Fress paused for a second as she felt her temper to begin to rise at the naïve. She shook her head, took a deep breath and slowly released it. Getting angry about it would only make matters worse. ?It was a group of TIEs that managed to sneak out of the net and I could sense the TIE pilots determination to take out the Johnny Boy after the retreat was issued by the Imperials. I don?t know if it was the pilot trying to score some major points or if that may have been a new plan they came up with on the spot. To distract the squad by pulling them away from the ship they?re protecting. I saw it happen before. That?s why I hung back,? and that?s the reason Darin died, she silently added to herself. Dooku changed his plans to set the trap and she changed her plans to accomodate and Dooku sprung the trap before she even realized what had happened. She fell into a similiar trap Kasumi fell into and didn?t realize it.

Fress already learned this lesson the hard way, that?s why it was bothering her so much about.

Kasumi took a step towards Fress and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"I understand your fear and your anger. I understand that you want to keep your team safe. I want the same thing. That's why I asked for your help to learn and understand that which I am not completely familiar with. Your record for flying missions was and is astounding, which some of that could be attributed to your force sensitive nature. But none the less, you are the best choice to teach others. You have seen a lot and could give advice to those who seek it. But before you can give that advice and wisdom, you need to just breath. Your past and your pain is part of you. If that pain is the sole reason for teaching someone, then they will learn to fear your pain...and will worry about causing you that same pain. That will divide focus and perhaps cause your wisdom to fall on deaf ears."

Kasumi gave Fress a gentle smile.

"Yes, plans change in battle, especially when you are dealing with the dark side. And even more so now with Vader in the lead."

It is that lesson that will help you get your point across. It is that lesson that will help you connect with your students and those who want to learn from you in a way that others cannot be able to connect with them. IC: Fress Colias
    Authority Hangar Bay/ Training

Fress watched as Sydney climbed out of the simulator looking exhausted. She gave a short nod as she waited for Sydney to collect thoughts and grab some water. He did look like he did quite a bit of sweating. She smiled as she waited patiently. She had a feeling he was going right for water not that she blamed him.

Fress turned her attention to Sydney who waited on how well he did. She smiled as she turned on the holo and played back the recording. “Let’s start from the beginning. You did well until here and we already went over what you did wrong and how to handle the situation. We’ll speed up ahead a bit,” she fast-forwarded the holo until Sydney was cornered by eight TIEs. “You did fairly well, it usually takes months in a simulator to get this far. Considering we are in a squadron you’re less likely to run into this situation unless you’re completely on your own. We do watch each other’s backs out there when we can. Lets go through this first,” she resumed play as the X-wing tried to go under the TIEs. She paused the holo. “This allowed the TIE’s to take pot shots at you. You raised your deflector shields but you continued to climb down,” she hit the play button. “Rear deflectors are only good for a certain amount of hits, the best way to get out of this is to dive a short distance, even out under the TIES. Push the engines to their limits to gain space between you and the TIEs.”

“There’s a neat trick to this scenario,” Fress played the separate simulator she managed to get out of Saber. The Jedi Star fighter put some space between her and the droid fighters behind her as they followed the star fighter into the dive and tailed her taking pot shots at her rear thrusters. “I was able to pull up my old simulator training, I recorded them to figure out what I did wrong and how to correct myself. You reverse engine throttles causing the nose of the fighter to swing in a hard one-eighty-turn,” in the holo the fighter swung around after gaining a fair amount of distance and unleashed all missiles she had causing a huge fire ball to form as the remains of some of the TIEs turned into a small debris field which nicked the other fighters. Five of eight fighters were immediately destroyed with the missiles, the others were caught up in the expanding debris cloud. “Don’t worry about getting this the first time, it took me six tries before I got the timing right. This simulator is a similar situation that Skywalker found himself in and that’s how he took care of the situation. He taught me that trick and now I’m passing that trick onto you and the others. I will attempt to alter this situation in a new simulation similar to this but I won’t let anyone try it until I can pass it, I wouldn’t want to put anyone into a situation that even I wouldn’t be able to get out of. The trick to clearing a fireball is to get out of the fireball as soon as possible before the debris has a chance to settle. Any trick to shake the person behind you is worth trying. Includes barrel roles, loops, diving and climbing ending with a long loop in an attempt to drop behind the tail of the fighter behind you. A corkscrew is great for attempting to shake a missile, or just keeping the missile long enough away from you until you can find something to trick it hitting. Preferably the fighter that unleashed it or a meteorite rock is good enough if there is one around. I think that’s enough training for one day, there is so much more I would love to go over with you but I remember it can be difficult in those simulators. Why don’t you get some rest and some food for now and we’ll meet back here in twenty-four hours from now.”

Fress smiled as she waited for Xan and Aurora to complete. The girl was in more need of help, especially with her freezing behind the stick. She felt a shiver go up her spine as she suddenly felt the urge to her alias again. She wasn’t sure why though but something told her that someone was coming. Maybe it was her imagination but she couldn’t be sure. She heard metal on metal as she quickly turned her attention to where Herc and Kasumi were practicing hand-to-hand combat. She would have to speak with Kasumi after this. Maybe she was being paranoid but the last time she had that feeling a mandalorian bounty hunter showed up.

Shaking her head and forgetting about the feeling for now, she had to focus on Aurora’s training. She tapped her mike changing frequencies. “Mac this is Firecracker, how is Moon coming along?”

    Game Master OOG:

Thank you Mitth! :) Well all, we're back home! [face_party] Don't know where the Temp boards are at, however. :( I hope you were all able to save your desired posts. Hopefully a moderator will be able to give us the answer. Until then, both my profile information and signature on posts have our Intervention links for reference. :)

I am personally waiting for Sith-I-5 for a tag and will have a tag response to Mitth_Fisto by tomorrow night. With that said, you are all free to continue posting from where you last left off on the Temp Boards In-Character. I will use all due haste to get background information up, etc. for the next leg of our RPG journey in the Greater Javin.

If you need help, one of the Intervention staff will help you as much as he/she can (or contact me directly via PM). If other attention is needed, for reference of missing threads/posts, location of misplaced/missing games, or technical help with the boards, please contact a RPF moderator.

Please welcome our new players and returning players. :)

    God Bless,

    Jason

    Biography
---Personal History: Born in 50 BBY Beskaryc was well along his way down the traditional path to becoming Mandalorian warrior. However when he was only 6 years old his father was killed at the Battle of Galidraan. Deprived of the traditional father/son training that was to begin at age eight, Beskaryc saw his training conducted by numerous other family members and other True Mandalorian sympathizers, though it was his own mother that took on most of the burden of his training. In the end it mattered little as he achieved adulthood as most other Mandalorians did during his 13th year when he passed the verd'goten. Married two years later in 35 BBY to Ruusaan. His son Adenn was born five years later in early 30 BBY. Daughter Prudii was born in 20 BBY. Adopted son Marcus(renamed Atin) in 5 BBY.

---Military History: Following his passing of the verd'goten Taab found work as an enforcer for the Banking Clans. He went on to establish himself as an effective collector of outstanding debts for the group. His duties also saw him putting down Union riots by various the guilds, though when he could find it he took on work as a straight mercenary. He preferred "real soldiering" to bounty hunting, or clubbing civilians.

Remembering the service of Taab's father, Jango Fett asked him to join the Cuy'val Dar in 30 BBY. Taab jumped at the chance to train soldiers and found himself working with the Republic Commandos on Kamino. When the Clone Wars started just eight years later he left Kamino and joined a small group of Mandalorian mercenaries who called themselves the Crusaders. His eight year old son joined him to begin his own training. At that time Taab used the money he had saved up from his time as a training sergeant on Kamino to buy the Crusader, from which the small group of mercenaries operated.

An apolitical person, Taab didn't care which side of the conflict he was working for at any given time, so long as he was paid. Thus the Crusaders, who numbered anywhere from 4 to 8 members depending on the time, fought in many battles during the clone wars. Often employed as commandos themselves they worked for both sides of the conflict on a series of short term contracts. Thus it was at the end of the war the Crusaders were working with the Republic on Kashyyyk. When Master Yoda went missing following the "Jedi rebellion" they joined the search, though they were not surprised when the Jedi master gave them all the slip. Subsequently the group broke up, with Beskaryc and his son keeping the Crusader. This they modified for the purpose of hunting the Jedi who had survived Order 66.

For much of the next decade the two worked together, bringing many stray Jedi to justice. Though Adenn would eventually go off to start his own family, and find his own work, Taab continued to hunt Jedi on his own, and while he was successful, he never earned the notoriety of Boba Fett. With Jedi becoming harder and harder to find, and his own distaste for bounty hunting work, Taab took on a job fighting for one of the factions of the Civil War on the Southern Continent of Ranklinge. There he found Marcus. Impressed by the boy's survival at such a young age, and remembering the death of his own father, Taab adopted him and renamed him Atin. He began to take on odd jobs, trying to prepare Atin for a life as a Mandalorian. Hired muscle for a bank robbery, VIP protection on various worlds, targeted assassinations, they did it all. Now Atin's training is almost complete, and Taab has found them one last job before Atin's training will be finished, mercenary work with the Mercs.

OOC: The image of Beskaryc Taab in his armor is actually the home built armor of our very own Novall_Talon . It really does look amazing and I just had to use it. =D=

    Biography
---Personal History: Born in 15 BBY on the Southern Continent (SouthCont) of Ranklinge Marcus grew up in a standard middle class household. He didn't really know what his mother or father did for a living, but knew that they went to work each evening and his grandfather came over to watch him while they were gone. It was a loving household and young Marcus never knew want or fear.

Until one day when he was only five years old he heard loud noises from off in the distance while his grandfather seemed glued to the holo-news. His parents didn't come home that night. His grandfather explained to him that a civil war had broken out on SouthCont, and his parents had been caught in the crossfire. Marcus didn't understand what it meant at the time, but as the days turned to weeks and everything got worse he knew that his world had changed.

His grandfather tried to protect Marcus as best he could, but he was old and had a heart condition. Within a year he too had died and Marcus was left all alone. Too young to be conscripted into the forces of one of the various factions Marcus learned to scavenge to survive. He left his home and slept in a new place every night, never bringing more with him then he needed at the moment. He survived like that for five years, avoiding the patrols of the factions, the food gangs and other scavengers, until he was found by an armored man from whom Marcus couldn't get away.

He fed Marcus and told him how impressed he was with him for surviving this long. He also offered Marcus a way out of the death and destruction that surrounded him, a way to take charge of his own future and ensure no one ever tried to hurt him again. Marcus agreed and from then on he was called Atin by the armored man, a man that Atin would now call father.

---Military History: Atin is nearing the end of his five years of training with his father. Most Mandalorian children begin training with their fathers at age eight and take the verd'goten at age thirteen. But Atin wasn't found and adopted until he was already ten. With the late start to his training, Atin wouldn't be ready until he was at least 15.

His father has been training him in various jobs, trying to prepare Atin for a life as a Mandalorian. They have acted as hired muscle for bank robberies, VIP protection on various worlds, targeted assassinations, and so on. Now Atin's training is almost complete, and Taab has found them one last job before Atin's training will be finished, mercenary work with the Mercs.

---Traumatic Experiences: The loss of his parents at such a young age coupled with the conditions thereafter have made a lasting mark on Atin.

IC: Flight Officer Yavscout, Deputy the Astromech, Zero-Gee "Seige" Spacetroopers, Ysanne Isard, Captain Sard, the Johnny Boy, the Delicate Delinquent, Imperial Centre / Coruscant, Ord Pardron, respectively.

Hank sat back and smiled, giving the elf the distinct feeling that the old jedi could see right through him.
Not to the point of critiquing the chair's upholstery through his rib-cage, but that he could see what the elf was thinking.

"Good," Hank said, "Taller was right about you."
Considering that was the man who had lost his legs standing in front of an armed tank on Patch-4, the observation did not hold quite the same weight for Yavscout. He didn't say anything, but wondered if Hank was getting Yav's visualisation of Taller's form somersaulting in two directions.
"The letter of marque and reprisal was the but a cover...to an extent. Your skills are rare Yav and will come in handy. But, out in cold space, you'll need help, even if Taller's stories of you are true. Rick wanted to make sure you had help, just in case," Hank nodded towards Dak who walked towards the door and opened it. Entering was Jim Palso.

Yav had not been aboard the Merc corvette for Palso's introduction, so did not recognise him. Both he and Deputy watched the privateer as he sat down.

"You'll need my help Short Stack. I might be from the future, but outlaws, pirates, and scum are all the same and talk the same, no matter the timeline your in. I've been in this timeline for less then a week and I can already tell you I've located a dozen 'hidden' smuggler ports on my way to finding the Johnny Boy. I know where to look."

Yav heard the bit about being from "the future" but missed the significance, assuming it to be some random planet beginning with 'f'.
For his part, the astromech frowned internally, but made no comment.

"And I know who you need. You don't need your average low life. Their just blaster bantha and likely to run or turn on you in a close pitched fight. You don't want a bunch of high end spec op boys either; a few here and there for security and function doesn't do ya bad, but if you need to sell a lie, they can't pull it off if they tried. You need your down to universe scum, like me. Guys who have accepted what they are and just don't give a Hutt's daughter who thinks what. Those are the guys, like the crew of the Johnny Boy, that you need. And I'll get them for you. I'll be your translator in those times that you need to know the criminal underground language like the back of your hand. That's what I know, scum talk. And scum people."

Yav extended a hand to Palso, to shake. "Pleased to have you aboard, uh-" The SGIS undercover floundered, not knowing the man's identification.

Deputy whistled an enquiry. [And after all that, does he know what to do about our little security situation aboard the cruiser?]

"Good point, Dep'." Yav turned back to Hank. "Master, I warned Captain Taller that the 'Delinquent might still be in Imperial hands when we arrived at the Block, and while that isn't the case, we did detect a small squad of Imp' spacetroopers sealing themselves up in the very front of the ship, reason unkinown, as there was ample time and means to escape with the rest of their people. If anyone has rectified that while I was in my cabin, I have not been updated.".

"You have what we need, Yav: the fight to do what need's to be done. You want to build a force, that's what we need: a fleet of small allied smugglers, pirates, spacers who will unite against the Empire."

The stranger interjected, "In my time, a group like that came together. They were called the Smuggler's Alliance. We'll just be foreshadowing their formation and be more aggressive then just cargo running for the good guys. The alliance probably won't last, not with such a direct assault as we're going to have against the Empire in the coming months. But it'll get us through if we play our cards right and we might just end up with a few good crew members who stay on."

At first, Yav thought he referred to the Rebel Alliance, and was about to jump to their defense, then realised he meant the alliance he was talking about forming.

"Any new crew members, we'd probably have to pay them, not like under Taller recently. I've completed three missions with this outfit, and not seen diddly."

    [Diddly?]

Delicate Delinquent bow - Level 5

"So, I'll be Mother, shall I?" Simone - SIM-0702 to her mates - asked as she pulled the dark green apron with 'KEEP CALM AND COOK SOMETHING' in white capital Aurabesh, from the compartment on the inside of her Spacetrooper armoured suit, flicked her wrist to open it out and placed the top loop over her head.

Two other members of the four person squad sat at the metal table set up next to the second level of the huge spherical shield generator where they had set up camp, and sealed themselves in.

One of the troops at the table, like herself, out of his bipedal suit-cum-spacecraft, as he idly dealt cards to his mate, quipped, "Well to be fair, you are the only one of us anatomically equipped to do so." He flipped a card into the electronic Sabaac field sitting on the table between himself and PET-9070. "Your move, Peta."

SIM's lips thinned at the retort. "Imperial Stormtroopers are supposed to be gender neutral." She tied the strings round the back of her black one-piece body glove, her stormtrooper armour piled next to her E-11.

"And yet, you are the only one of us to bring a drokking apron on missions!"

Simone turned from her detractor, and looked over the railings at the fourth and last member of the squad, still fully suited up, with a concussion grenade launcher aimed at their barricade in case whoever had hijacked the interdictor, tried to finish this, and break through.

Despite Imperial propoganda, not all ships fell instantly under spacetrooper assault. Sometimes, like on compartmentalised ships like the Star Galleons, a squad might have to settle in for a protracted stay."

    Imperial Intelligence offices, Imperial Palace

Isard strode fast along the arched and vaulted corridors of the Imperial Palace towards her office, her passage reflected in the oval faceplates of Imperial Guard stationed at regular junctions.

She had taken a break from research she had been doing, since getting an alert from Imperial Female, the holo-magazine set up by the cruiser captain many years before to connect the disparate and minority female component of the Imperial Armed and Intelligence Services.

The membership had started slowly, the creator literally touting her wares to every woman she encountered, regardless of rank, class or species, as long as they served in Imperial uniform.

Disaster. Almost all the girls of the fighter squadron, the Ravens, had been killed in a Rebel attack at Commenor.

She had been contact with a couple of them, though obviously, like her subscription to the holo-mag, it wasn't under her own name. She wasn't stupid.

Their commanding officer, a Colonel Thaw, had soon after resigned his post, but coincidentally, almost the same day, an Admiral Jon Thaw had turned up at the KDY research shipyards in the Circarpous Sector to take up a post.

Isard pushed open the door to her two-room office. She had her private room, where her desk, holo-receiver and projector, and files were. Adjacent, was a mostly empty room with a cream carpeted floor, a swivel executive chair on a raised dais, natural light streaming in through the tinted window that was as wide and deep as the room, and one wall was almost filled with row upon row of repeater comm-screens, some showing scenes from all over the galaxy, some piped into the office spaces of agents, peers and contacts.

As usual, she had several calls waiting, their screens black with WAITING emblazoned in white, with an identifier of sorts.

She saw one was from Captain Sard, and due to the distance, that wpuld be by holo, so she moved into her office, sealing the door, and dropping into her chair, placing the IA holo-mag carefully on the desk.

A translucent blue-grey holograph generated on the desk, almost a foot high off the dark red Greel wood, showing an arid landscape in the background, while in the fore, Sard sat at a picnic-type table, while the roof of a tent fluttered above and behind him, while to the left of the screen, a hard, dark curve showed her that the officer was sitting in the shade of something big.

"Director Isard. Don't Imperial Intelligence answer their comms now?"

"I'm not tied to my desk, Captain." She rejoined, checking the transmission log to find the source of the transmission. "Ord Pardron?" She raised an eyebrow in query.

"We landed for repairs, Director. Anyway, I'm getting a signasl from my team aboard the 'Delinquent-"

"I ordered your platoon off that ship, Captain."

"Sorry, I didn't have a locator beacon on me, and they were readying for hyperspace, so I had to leave a team behind to jury-rig something; do you have your own tracker?" He challenged.

Yes, he's called Beskaryc, but that isn't important right now. She quipped to herself, allowing a tight smile without revealing the source. "So where is they?"

"Greater Javin. The nearest S-thread listening station picked up their ELEL signal, some hours ago. I would not imagine that whoever took her even knows that there is a beacon on their ship."

Ysanne nodded. Most sensors, even Imperial ones, were not configured to pick up ELEL signatures, the acronym standing for Extremely Low Energy Level. You had to be looking for it. "So not Gyndine." She observed, referring to the Imperial Security Bureau-instigated, sector-wide alert suggesting the missing interdictor would be used to attack the Gyndine shipyards.

"A less charitable observer would say that ISB were full of-"

"Do not make comments you might later regret, Captain." She warned, thinking. "Right, if we turn up in any official capacity to rescue your men, the hijackers will realise pretty quickly that they were being tracked and tear the DD apart looking to find how, but perhaps I have another option. Okay, I need everything you can tell me about Seige Team Six."

"How do you know what they're called?!" The man sounded astonished, which amused her.

"Puh-lease." Ysanne pulled a slim black datapad across the desk to her, and powered up the screen. "So where are they on the ship?"

    ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS AND STAFF!!!

ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS AND STAFF. Below will be the best summary I can get out on short notice. My internet connection is off and on and forced me to delay the other half of my college homework until tomorrow. So, I hope the connection will stay strong so I can get this posted.

    Game Links:

Game Thread: STAR WARS: INTERVENTION (A storytelling style OT starfighter game)---Always taking new players!

OOG Discussion Thread: Rocketjock Eatery (A Star Wars: Intervention OOC/OOG discussion thread)

    Library Wiki: Library Wiki

    ****************************

For our new and returning players....

Welcome first and foremost! :D The Temp boards had their time and their fun. But now it's back to being home with a solid board. Intervention has had a long history since opening it's doors in June of 2009. At last count, before my data was lost due to a virus, Intervention had had over 30 players come, go, and stay in 3 years of game play as of the summer of 2012. THAT is a lot of people with their own stories and dreams and a lot of characters by those same people! While a full recount of Intervention's history I cannot do right at this very moment, I can tell you that Intervention started out as any small game would, with a small loyal group of players. While we almost closed our doors once in late 2009 and once early in 2010, we gained a supernatural amount of momentum and strength towards April and May of 2010 that sent us on a streak for over a year and well into the summer of 2011 where Intervention hosted, from my personal observation, one of the highest player counts, amounts and speed of posts were week, and was a constant mainstay in the top 5 RPF games for 2010 and into the summer of 2011.

The fall of 2011 saw a foreshadowing of a dark time for Intervention, where I personally was unable to devote the time and resources to Intervention as I had once had in 2010 and most of 2011. Ill regardless of Darth Real Life (DRL) for me and several other players and staff through the end of 2011, May of 2012 saw a reawakening for Intervention. With DRL crisis behind us who experienced such woes in 2011, or at least under management, Intervention's drifting of the RPF boards came to an end. With new strength and hopes, the loyal players and staff of Intervention surged forward from the shadow of DRL and back into the light of being nerds of a very special type: Intervention nerds.

Intervention has a very special core group of players and staff. The best way to reach staff or players for non-personal questions, comments, concerns, storyline ideas, etc. is through our OOG Discussion Thread: Rocketjock Eatery. Any questions, idea, etc. that you only want a staff member or other player to know about, it is best to use the Private Message function. All other questions, ideas, etc. of a non-personal nature can be quickly and easily handled through the Rocketjock Eatery. It is truly a wonderful tool and I hope everyone uses it. We do ask that only Intervention related OOG/OOC content is posted in the Rocketjock Eatery. For socializing only purposes, we point you to the several social threads the RPF has to offer.

    Wait, who is in charge?

Intervention is ultimately handled and managed by Bravo, the Game Master. As the saying goes, "The buck stops here." Everything in Intervention is under the Game Master's control and is his responsibility. The Game Master is assisted by a dedicated and loyal staff including:

    • Sith-I-5; Co-Game Master (player: 11/11/2010 to present; staff: 2011 to present)
Sith-I-5 is Bravo's immediate second-in-command and holds almost unlimited power to do what he needs to do for the best interests of the players, staff, and Intervention itself. Sith is in charge all game NPC's to help any and all story lines as he sees fit in the game, the Imperial storyline, and is the assistant to Bravo with overall storyline development.

Sith can be considered the "do all, be all" of Intervention in many respects. His loyalty, skill as a role player, and storytelling ability are beyond amazing and his posts speak for themselves.

    • Mitth_Fisto; Assistant Game Master (player: 06/16/2009 to present; staff: 2010 to present)
Mitth_Fisto is in charge of the Mercs and handles all minor storylines, questions, comments, and concerns in regards to the Mercs and or the Guardians Squadron (the Merc starfighter squadron). Any questions regarding the Mercs or their starfighters should be directed towards him.

Mitth was part of the "Original 3," as I like to call it, of Mitth_Fisto, greyjedi125, and Bravo. These 3 RPGers weathered the storm through Intervention and through their steadfast loyalty and dedication to the LORD, we have Intervention today. Without Mitth's efforts, Intervention would of closed down back in late 2009.

    • Coffee_Ninja; Assistant Game Master (player: 08/30/2011 to present; staff: 2011 to present)
Coffee_Ninja is in charge of any and all things and players related to the use of the Force in Intervention. She has, previously, over a decade worth of experience as a Star Trek Game Master and is a devote Yoda fan---don't mess with the little green man or else Coffee may come after you. :pAny questions, comments, concerns, or storyline ideas should be directed to Coffee in regards to the Force.

Coffee's tireless pursuit of history, details, and the "in's and out's" of the Force has made her a bastion of Force knowledge.

    • CPL_Macja; Game Master Librarian (player: 12/16/2011 to present; staff: 2012 to present)
CPL_Macja is in charge of our Library Wiki. He is the central computer and storage device of Intervention. If you have a question about the Library Wiki, he is the man to see.

CPL's masterful reboot of the Library Wiki goes beyond words. He has done an amazing work in detailing and archiving the galaxy of Intervention and he just started last month! WOW!

    • greyjedi125; [Honorary] Co-Game Master / [Present] Personal Game Master Counsel (Staff: 06/17/2009 to 2011)
Greyjedi125 is Intervention's original Co-Game Master and served with loyalty and dedication until 2011 when Darth Real Life forced him to leave the game. Grey was and will forever be my right hand man; his strength, knowledge, and wisdom helped guide Intervention and a then new Game Master Bravo through 2 years of game play. Grey still acts as private counsel to Game Master Bravo for Intervention.

Grey and Bravo meet back in 2003 while both playing a game titled: The NEW Dark Times, a RPG on the old Jedi Council boards. A strong and close friendship would carry both Grey and Bravo through the next 9 years. Both friends finally meet in person in the summer of 2009 for the first time in New York City, New York. The short exchange of what seemed like a lifelong friendship to both is remembered by both Grey and Bravo very well.

    What has happened?

Currently, Intervention is based several days before the destruction of the Death Star in Star Wars: A New Hope. The Rebels on Dantooine haven't been found by the Empire yet, Alderaan is still standing, and our legendary heroes of a Farm Boy, a Wizard, a Fool, and a Princess haven't yet come aboard the Death Star, because our two favorite droids in a GFFA (Galaxy, Far, Far, Away...) haven't yet landed on a desert planet via a escape pod.

Presently, in game, all in-character players (except for Jason Lasso) can be found in the Greater Javin, where the Johnny Boy (mercenaries; heavily modified Marauder-class Corvette) and Delicate Delinquent (mercenaries; stolen Imperial Immobilizer 418 cruiser) are being repaired by the Javin Bucket (Outlaw Techs; modified and retrofitted Venator-class Star Destroyer). Both the Johnny Boy and Delicate Delinquent are part of the "Mercs". In defensive formation around the three ships is theSword of Justice (Kingdom of Jod; King I-class Battleship) and the Authority (Kingdom of Jod; King I-class Battleship). Both King I-class Battleships are part of the "Mercs" as well.

Our old "Current Game Summary" (last updated 07-20-2011) is the last comprehensive update to Intervention's history. All other updates are to be found in IC posts since that update and on the Temp Boards. Please see Current Game Summary at the end of this post for further details.

    Where do I get started?

For all new players, Intervention holds a unnofficial policy that you drop out of hyperspace and announce your arrival to the Johnny Boy. This start process is credited to the Jedi Outcasts games that Bravo (posting as Jim_Palso) was part of from 2004 through until 2009. At the end of your post, simply put TAG Staff and a staff member will see to your tag ASAP.
