If we're to have any kind of fun discussion, this ain't the way to go for me! If you want that kind of discussion, debate-to-the-death, others may take you up on it. I have no such interest and am quite opposed to such in this sort of highly subjective area. For me it invokes of who the hell someone thinks thinks they are to tell somebody else they're wrong to enjoy story X. If people want to spend their money on getting first editions of all the NJO books, it's their money to waste. They would likely disagree with my description, but that's life. I know if I end up talking NJO I'll end up saying I liked A,B,C on basis 1,2,3 but didn't care for this element due to... They may well disagree point blank, but they'll have their own basis for that, I just don't think this is an area where we can or should seek to invoke moral judgements by use of terms like wrong.
I'm not disagreeing with you on that Danz, I just want to make that clear. I understand what you mean, and I just offered an anecdote. It can be frustrating.
Looks like a September release date: http://www.randomhouse.com/book/227072/kenobi-star-wars-by-john-jackson-miller Color me excited!
okay so this is not the life and legend of Kenobi. I read that one. I have to wonder what is left to explore for this character.
Now this, to me is good news. A release date! http://www.amazon.com/Kenobi-Star-John-Jackson-Miller/dp/0345546830/ref=pd_rhf_pe_s_cp_1_R8FP
I'm glad to see a release date, a bit sooner than I would have expected, but no matter. Will be interesting to see how well JJM is able to pull it off. Hopefully we get a blurb about it soon so we have some idea of what the main plot is.
Well it's time to read, play and watch everything Obi-Wan Kenobi related I can get my hands on before September.
Yeah so they do come out in the summer. Cool. I wonder though if Crucible has any chance of being good. Maybe if Zahn wrote it. But not denning. The series seems doomed. We need a new publisher. I also wonder what else we could possibly get that is worth reading on Kenobi. I have read all of his novels, i have watched him on all the films, I read all of the apprentice books with him and Qui Gon, and just finished his bio novel. Kenobi is practically a subject that is full. Now between ROTS and New Hope, we did get Dark Lord ( although that did not feature Ben) , and the "Last of the Jedi" novels that did have Kenobi in some of them. Also That time frame was featured in the Kenobi bio. I liked the Kenobi bio because it featured new POV info i had not read before. His interactions with Qui Gon, and the huge realization that the reason he was not ready for Qui Gon's training was because of his inablity to see the good in Anakin like Luke did. I loved how Ben was shocked as Luke saved Anakin from the dark side. I loved that Ben forgives Anakin and shows him how to become eternal in the force..Is there more to write in that timeline? maybe. But even that timeline is filling up fast.
Is it? For just Ben? 19 years is plenty of time to fill. The guy had to discover that Mos Eisley is "a little rough" somehow.
