Lit Star Wars: Kenobi by John Jackson Miller

Hi, gang. I am really happy that my contribution to this announcement was so well received. I thought maybe some of you would want to take a peak at a study I did of Ewan McGregor for this painting. It was a very difficult painting... I could NOT find a reference of Ewan ANYWHERE that fit this pose the way I wanted to depict it. So I literally had to study his features, expressions, how light and shadows affected his face, etc. and attempt to imagine his face anatomy in that position. Here was the first successful rendering...

of course one could have just asked Ewan for a picture but a study is cool.. would love that for lots of characters, especially some EU ones love your art

 

Might there be some more cover work for you in the future Chris? I think it's guaranteed any such work would be well-received here!

Those came out such a long time ago. I personally could not get into them, they are just weird and they were writen before there was a lot of canon to reference. If Han can have a whole trilogy with his origin, why cannot have Lando at least one book just about him. From a marketing standpoint it's probably easier to seel then the Holt novel or Scourge.

 

I'd read a book about Lando's youth. Or at least a story set pre Hutt Gambit. Where was he born? Why did he leave? How did he win the Falcon? stuff like that. I'd like to know.

 

We know he is from Socorro but that's about it.

 

Okay so he's from Socorro. I'd like to see some stuff about him growing up and his parents and why he left. Maybe some Imperial action or something? Maybe some adventures on the way to Nar Shadaa. Maybe some stuff on Nar Shadaa?

There's a Calrissian who shows up in one of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books for the Clone Wars - Lando's dad, maybe?

 

I'm still disappointed we never got Blood Ties: Galduran and Lando Calrissian. Lando could have gotten his utility belt!

Make sure you know were to put that Gaffi stick.

 

Looking forward to this especially since we don't really know what he did during that 20 year period. Dave Filoni has always said the Clone Wars would explain the burden he would have to carry on Tatoonie besides the obvious Skywalker issue. Hopefully this book explains how he deals with this burden. Hope to have appearances from Owen Lars, Qui-Gon Jinn, Luke Skywalker and maybe a cameo from Ferus Olin and Darth Vader.
