What I want to know is where's my The Sting/Ocean's Eleven analog? Kenobi can join a motley crew of Clone Wars veterans and underworld drifters, including a young Lando, to pull an ultimate con job on an Imperial Moff who himself is trying to double-cross both Jabba the Hutt and Black Sun. Lando can be the Sammy Davis Jr. character.
Actually, I hate beer, and am only neutral on bacon . Chocolate is cool in small doses though (I get headaches all the time, and sweets definitely don't help with that )
People are usually very tongue in cheek. Don't take it personally, it has nothing to do with respect.
I'm gonna go ahead and say it: sausage is waaaaay better than bacon. I'm just gonna sit here now and wait for the Jedi Council Inquisition to find me...
Find a sausage brand you like, or make your own! I've had really poor bacon in the past, too - but not much of a DIY solution for that!
Let me put it this way; bacon is a thin strip of burnt meat and fat. Sausage is all the bloody, fatty, awesome parts of an animal stuffed into a bag. Which sounds cooler and more manly, I ask you? Plus, there's all kinds of different things you can do with sausage, and all kinds of different spices and parts you can combine to make different kinds of sausages; bacon is always just a strip of burnt meant. More constant, perhaps, but also more boring.
I like the way this discussion has turned to sausage while I was away. Maybe I should be away more often.
1lb Pork Chump Steak. 2 slices Bread (crusts cut away). Sage (1 to 2 teaspoons, to taste). Genorous pinch of salt. Soak bread in small bowl of milk and squeeze out into fairly firm lump. Mince Pork Chump Steak into bowl, adding pieces of soaked bread as you go. Add Salt and Sage and finger-mix well. Feed all back through mincer again, then repeat. Roll out lumps of mixture on (plain) floured board until at preferred diameter, cut into preferred lengths and shallow-fry. Serve and enjoy!
A hardcover written by JJM? Details of Obi-Wan's 20 year exile on Tatooine which we know very little about? How can this be anything but EPIC? I love JJM's comic book series' (KOTOR is one my favorites in all the EU and i've enjoyed the 10 issues of Knight Errant i've read) and even though i've yet to read a novel done by him I still have alot of faith that he'll make this a really good book. He knows how to write an exciting adventure story while at the same time developing the characters in it. He also has experiance in creating new characters and making you care about them quickly (for example Zayne and his whole crew in KOTOR) and that's important since Obi-Wan is off on his own and can't realisticly interact with established characters (with a couple exceptions such as Ferus Olin). I'm really looking forward to this.
@Danz Borin, I offer up the preceding 10 posts or so as evidence of how little you should take us seriously. That said, JJM's books are pretty popular around here, and I'm sure many of us would be interested to hear more about why you didn't care for them. Contrary opinions are fine, but giving reasons for them never hurts.
Absolutely not. In fact, this forum is a collective group of violent anarchists who want nothing more but to assimilate the entire worlds population into one large hive mind. All who resist shall be delicately flayed. As someone who's a vegetarian more for not caring for the taste of meat rather than for any moral reason (though there's that too), when you put it like that, it sounds all the more unappealing
