This could be the one chance we have to kill her off and end her now, before Rebels! If we wait too long to strike it'll be out of our hands my friend.

My preference would be for her to disappear completely from official source material, never to be seen again outside the weird fantasy universes of fanfiction.net and Deviant Art.

That would give me much greater pleasure than her dying on screen.

Although admittedly a hilarious death would make me happy enough.

"Their awesome martial skills?" Why are they writing their blurbs like a 12-year-old?

This is probably the book I'm least excited for.

You need to have those if you wanna stop people armed with electric slingshots!

I want Palpatine to mutter "I'm too old for this Sith!" at some point.

And I can't wait for the scene in which Vader has to turn in his badge in the office of Tarkin. Wyatt J. Tarkin.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to this!!!!!!! More Vader! More Vader! More Vader!

Now is their chance to ensure Vader is the terrifying Dark Lord we expect him to be based on the OC. Don't mess it up Disney, or Mickey will pay!!! :D I love all the dark lord series/non series books - well, except the super silly ones - so I am hopefully that this will be the 2nd best of all. Because I am certain Tarkin will be the best.

Anyway, now that I'm all done with my excitement, can I ask a question?

How does the Galactic Emperor get stranded on a planet, anyway? Does he not have an iPhone? What about OnStar? Nothing? Did nobody notice the Emperor was missing??? Why wouldn't the entire Empire be mobilized to find him?

There'll be a subplot about Isard and Pestage running around the Throne Room pulling out their hair (well, Isard will; Pestage's bald) in a panic.

    Isard: "Where's the Emperor?"
Pestage: "I thought he was with you!"
Isard: "We got separated! We better look for [him]!"

I mean, I imagine OT references will be really common again, after all...

No. He got into a pissing contest with Steve Jobs and refuses to buy anything Apple.

And someone in the Alliance thought it would be funny as hell to have R2 steal his Samsung Galaxy and reprogram it.

He did. It was called the Eclipse II, and Artoo flew it into Byss. :p

Or he used to. I don't know what the hell is going on now.

I have to admit I was dissapointed when I saw that it was Vader/Sidious instead of older era Sith Lords, but the description did intrigue me a bit. I am just dissapointed that none of the first 4 new books take place in the Old Republic/PT eras.

Yeah, this doesn't seem like much of an idea.

Making Palpatine an action anti-hero has never really worked that well.

Ahsoka as the insurgent leader would make a lot of sense.

If the Maul-corpse-bot makes an appearance I'll be seriously upset. Barring that, this has the potential (if written properly) to be one of the best Star Wars novels. I'm thinking something mixing Shatterpoint with Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe series.

Perhaps Sith-type business, for which Palpatine didn't want to go through normal Imperial channels? That would also make Ahsoka tie in very well: the two of them going to look for 'a surviving Jedi'.

Bothan genocide: the novel! I like the idea of a book about Vader and Palpatine, but this just sounds like kind of a weird concept.

Yeah, I was going to criticize that as really stupid.

Wow. This looks like it's gonna be a very fun novel. And I REALLY need to know who the Clone Wars character is. Hondo, Talzin, Ahsoka, Hondo, Cad Bane, Rex, I don't care. Maybe Cham and tie it into Rebels by having Vader or Palps kill Cham off along with a large group of rebels in a quick battle which in which they wipe the floor....Sith Style.

Wasn't the Emperor kidnapped before? (in the 'old EU')

They maybe looking for him, this can be dealt with easily by a good author.

Any way I am keen for these new stories.

Since y'all are referring to this as the buddy cop novel, I really can't get the image out of my head of Vader and Palps enacting scenes from Bad Boys or something.
