    ^Truth.

"Lezbo"? You serious? I hear you claiming gay, but that ****'s still not cool so if you could *not*...that'd be great.

I knew someone would take offense to "Lezbo" and not understand my tone in that post. It was said with a bunch of sarcasm. Obviously I don't go around calling Lesbians 'Lezbo'. In fact I don't even call gay women Lesbian. I just refer to them as gay. I would never attempt to offend anybody in the gay community as I am gay myself and know what it's like to be called names for simply not being heterosexual. So please, DO NOT speak to me in such a way as to insinuate that I was trying to offend or disrespect anybody that is a homosexual woman - again I said 'Lezbo' with a extremely sarcastic tone which obviously is hard to get across over a keyboard. I hope that clarifies my use of the word Lezbo. And how dare you question my sexuality.

Tell me when I insulted her. And tell me when she insulted me? Her questioning my sexuality was not an insult, just a nonsensical comment. Contessa seems to like looking for trouble when it comes to LGBT issues - taking comments out of proportion and immediately assuming that I meant to insult or disrespect someone or a group of people when in fact I was just being sarcastic.

I can only defend myself so much and it doesn't seem to be working.

Again I never meant to offend anybody by using the word 'Lezbo'. And if I did then I apologize. The last thing I would do is to intentionally offend anybody of any gender, race or sexuality.

The narrator said "Sixes" in the audiobook.

question wookiee is telling me LOTS is taking place 8 years after ROTS but the Timeline in the book says it takes place before Tarkin. what is the definitive timeline?

The book seems confused about the number of Royal Guards who
escort Vader and Palpatine away from the crashed shuttle - it clearly says "a pair" of Guards, but later one Guard is vaporised by cannon fire and there are still a pair left.
I don't know if this was a writing or editing error, but it's funny this wasn't picked up before publication.

So is this book worth getting, and how does it compare to the other well received new canon novel, A New Dawn and Tarkin?

I'm about 120ish pages in and this book moves at a very fast pace compared to those two. I highly recommend it.

For me, not quite the equal of AND but miles ahead of Tarkin.

So I just finished this one. Good book. Nicely paced and ol Sheev is so deliciously sinister and evil its fantastic. This is pretty clearly his idea of a dream vacation. Really liked all of the new characters, especially Mors and Isval. Only a few little things irked me. All in all a very solid read.

It's a breezy read, for sure, and while Cham and his people might be YMMV, they're certainly more fleshed out than the rebel cell in Tarkin. Its portrayal of Vader is very good at tying the more emotional post-RotS Vader to the OT-era Vader, Palpatine is deliciously malevolent, Mors has been covered in depth but I liked her well enough, but my favorite part of the book is her weasily little assistant and how he just completely unravels over the course of the story.

This book is way better than Rebel Dawn that was a boring book. Tarkin was good and so was this one. Don't even get me started with Heir of the Jedi..........bad is not even the word.

I have to say this is indeed a good book. I did expect it to continue on a bit and give the aftermath of the attack, but in the relative context of the plot, I don't feel it was needed.
The lylek attack was great, and really showed how Vader and Sidious worked together, and there really was a strong manipulation from both Cham and Sidious.
I also noted it said "Sixes" instead of "Fives". Just seeing that word really made me pause and look back.
I'm not sure where I'd rate it next to the other new canon novels, but it's definitely somewhere at the top.

You're right. Bad isn't the word. "The best book of the new canon" is the word (that's w/o reading LOTS)

Maybe that's a hint that Anakin does not know the clones as well as he thinks he does? Might have gone down in his memory as "that clone with the pluralised number for his name - Twos? Fours? Sixes? Something like that anyway"

That's an in-universe reason of course.

It's hard to imagine that Kemp would have watched TCW enough to remember to mention Echo - and at the same time get Fives' name wrong.

Maybe it would have been better portrayed had the name been in quotation marks.
