Re. cover: For some people, that would seem to be a death-defying feat of impossibility. For Luke Skywalker, that's a Tuesday.

He's taking out 8 stormtroopers at once.

These guys are bowling pins now.

Adds a new meaning to 'Skywalker Strikes'

They will properly be on Cymoon for the entire arc.

It's NU- there might not even BE a Rebel Fleet yet. ;)

(Heck, we don't even know if they've even got off Yavin yet either...)

Do we really need a new thread for every single issue? How about a unified thread for each story arc? Like just one thread for Skywalker Strikes?

With a few exceptions, we've always done individual threads for single issues- it makes it much easier to locate where discussion of an issue begins and ends. Plus, you sometimes never know when an arc will end and then there's the issue of one-shot issues and how to file them.

It's not just tradition- it's just much easier to be consistently organized this way (that the thread titles have been kept to a uniform format for the last 13 years is just me going the extra OCD mile to make them easier to find).

I'm looking at a face, and I'm not sure if I'm seeing Luke Skywalker or Nicolas Cage.

Whatever my reservations about this series, that cover is epic!

Still, could be a good time to tell a story of the rebels stealing, smuggling, or otherwise acquiring ships to add to the fleet.

In the Heir to the Jedi preview Luke mentions that the rebel fleet is hiding near an ice moon (no it's not hoth). When about this takes place is anybody's guess but it does canonise the existence of the rebel fleet.

Even if it didn't, Return of the Jedi certainly did.

The point was more to it potentially not existing immediately post-ANH in the form that we are familiar with and, thus, might have to be formed before we get to the timeframe of ESB.

Also in the flashback/flashforward to issue #3 Vader calls it "My lightsaber". To himself as everyone has blasted away. CooperTFN might dig that.

Anyway, have I mentioned lately just how cool I think this book is?

Vader just ignites his lightsaber all like "AT-AT? Pshaw. I be a Sith Lord, dammit!"

Star Wars in general seems to have abandoned the complex self loathing Darth Vader and instead gone for VADER BADASS!!!!!!!!![face_skull]

I think there's going to be even more stuff blowing up in this book than in issue #2 and I would like to state that I am totally okay with that.

I wouldn't say that. Darth Vader #1 seems to portray the more complex Vader, Star Wars #1, 2, and most likely #3 have gone for the badass approach you describe.
