AHA! Knew I would find the mini posting!

East VS West Tennessee - next time I get to Memphis!

I better practice up from the sound of it?

You gotta watch Jacob, Todd. He owns the entire Republic and Empire. Don't know much about minis, but I know that's gotta mean something.

Joe has a point. Any man who enjoys making people scream is no one to trifle with. And believe me.... I've seen his work. He's very good at it.

    I can see it now....

Jacob advances his Emperor Palpatine mini.

Todd pulls out a severed human head and places it on the table. The head begins to scream quotes from R-rated movies.

Jacob withdraws the Emperor Palpatine mini.

    :p [face_laugh]

    Now that was funny...

Not to mention the zombies will be in coffins which counts as cover...

How many points is Freddy and Jason worth?!?

Now there's another mini game to invest in!

Horror Mini's - Elvira, Dracula, Werewolf, Pinhead, Chucky
    Oooohhhhhh

    *Sorry Dreaming there*

No... That would be marketing brilliance! At least you know the strengths and weaknesses of all of those characters!

    And they never die!

Doubt it. I've only played a handful of times, actually. If you come on a night when the Heroclix gamers are there, they may present a challenge, but I don't know if they actually play enough SW minis to have strategy and teams down.

When are you coming? Looking forward to it. :D

By the way, any rumors as to my proficiency in this game are highly exaggerated. I am trying to learn and my win ratio--mostly skirmishes with people who have even less experience than me--is only about 40%. I just think it is a lot of fun and really cool and like to play any chance I get. :D

SW.com has pics and news of new minis!

"Star Wars Miniatures has two full sets scheduled for 2005. In April, Revenge of the Sith adds 60 new figures, including key Episode III characters, lightsaber-wielding Jedi and Sith, more Wookiees -- even General Grievous and his bodyguards. In September, the game's Universe expansion introduces 60 more figures from the Original Trilogy era and beyond, and also introduces a big (and we mean BIG) new aspect to the game.

Each expansion will also be followed by an Ultimate Missions sourcebook, providing new maps and scenarios for Miniature gameplay. Ultimate Missions: Clone Strike releases on March 4, followed in June by Ultimate Missions: Revenge of the Sith, and August by Ultimate Missions: Universe.

Plus, in November be sure to look for the Star Wars Miniatures AT-AT, the most massive addition yet to the Miniatures game."

Gotta get me some more troopers. Like the new ROTS one.

Saw some great Hero-Clix at 3X the other night. One of the guys there had some of the DC 'Kingdom Come' ones I want- a Batman, Superman, and a BATMOBILE! Sweet...

I hope that the ROTS mini troopers are as good as the Stormies from the first set. The clones were a little disappointing. The only really cool one was the ARC Trooper and he was AWESOME!!!

Anybody have time to play minis this Saturday? I need to do something completely non-family/ non-school.

Thought I would dig this up in case people we met recently at gaming activities and elsewhere were interested.

Also thought it might be useful to post a new trade list:

    HAVE:
    Promo
C3 Nautolan Soldier (bagged with cardboard to support card)
Battlefront Mon Cal Merc (bagged--says MADE IN CHINA)

    ROTS
    Darth Tyranus
    Antilles
    San Hill
    Destroyer Droid
    Wat Tambor

    CS
    Captain Typho
    Ki-Adi-Mundi
    Ventress
    Spider Droid
    Gungan on Kaadu
    Durge
    Threepio
    Aurra Sing (not bagged)

    RS
    Threepio (not bagged)

    NEED:
    ROTS
    R2-D2
    AT-RT
Grievous, Jedi Hunter with four sabers
    Yoda
    Mace
    Anakin, Jedi Knight

    CS
Padme Amidala x2 with good paint!!! Please help me!!!

I also have most commons and uncommons from all three sets for trade--let me know what you are looking for. However, don't go asking for clones or wookiees unless you have something I really want.

Always looking for more army builders, especially clones and stormies.

    Thanks for looking!
