Jacob just to let you know that was kinda interesting game we had the other night. I know it wasnt very long or big but it gave me an idea of the game. It wasnt to bad I might injoy it more if there wasnt so many other things going on. But I would be up for a rematch some day soon.

Sorry I missed this one. Yes, it is sorta like Heroclix. Same general idea--same approximate scale--no Clix. Player stats come on cards and you play with dice and point counters and stuff. Sets come in randomized boosters like CCGs and Clix. It is a Wizards of the Coast d20 game.

    For more reference:
    The ultimate source:
    http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=starwars
    And the more personable source:
    www.starwarsminigames.com

If you have any more questions, shoot! :D

BTW, if anyone is interested in purchasing them, I highly recommend ccgarmory.com, but please go there by way of starwarsminigames.com and mention starwarsminigames.com when you order.

Appropriate answers for this question fail me.

I am really liking the new line: Champions of the Force. Lots of Jedi and Darths. Just pulled Jacen Solo, Darth Malak, Commander Gree and a dupe Commander Cody.

So, what's a dupe Commander Cody?

And I still want to know what to bite....

Meaning I have more than one Cody--3 now actually, so some to trade...

So, is Cody a valuable trading item?

I'm so mini's challenged...Saw all those people playing at Gen Con...they had these totally cool looking boards with like...giant Star Destroyers and stuff on them. It was really cool how much they were into it.

He's a Rare, but since I have three, probably not that valuable. I'm not sure if they stack the Rares--more of some and less of others to create more value/demand, but it seems like they do...

    I see.

So, what are the rare ones supposed to be worth?

Cause I saw a Mace at Gen Con that was going for like upwards of 50 dollars?

Is that normal or was it because the dealer wanted too much or that theres just not many of that Mace.

(no clue as to which mace that it was...)

I think $50 is a bit steep. The highest I've ever seen was for Boba Fett from the first set and that was $45. You could still find him for $30. $50 is waaaaay too much. I would never pay that for a mini.
I might pay up to $25 if I really wanted a figure, especially if it was one of the last ones I needed for a full set, but there are enough Very Rares in the last couple of sets that I haven't cared about to make completion of no concern to me.

Now one I really do want is the R2 from ROTS. I thought I had one. In fact, I am certain I had one, but it is lost. It was one of the last I needed from that set and now it is the only one I am missing.

50 was MSRP for the AT-AT and I didn't even pay that much for it!

I know this is a REALLY old post, but I know all about the backstory regarding "The Game Room" and it was no surprise to a good number of us to hear it was closing...

Anyhow, if you don't know there is a place in Sherwood on JFK/Highway 107 called "Imagine" that is a gaming store (and branching into a few other things). They sell minis, both boxed and loose. And they seem to be fairly reasonable on most of the loose ones' prices - at least at the cursory glance I made at their case a few weeks ago.

The Game Room is open again--not my favorite place--I wouldn't hold a game night there...

I'll have to check out imagine. Here in LR I usually go to The Comic Shop off Rodney Parham. They're partnered with the one in NLR.

I miss Triple Play in Memphis, but it's not even there anymore. The owners moved to Florida.

    You know.

I am really digging the new ones of these mini things with the ships.

    They are cool.

I'm buying them whenever I see them cause I like the little ships.

    Anbody else?

Now I just need to still learn how to play with them...

Cool--maybe we can do some trades. I've only got a few, but the game is mostly like the other minis. We can play some time. We need to have a minis night--maybe some Thursday?
