This can be explained in story not as lighting issues but actually due to Sun exposer lightening hair. . In ANH and TPM it Luke and Anakin have been living there whole lives on a desert planet with two suns. This would lighten their hair. In the next film they have been off Tatooine for a few years and the hair that has grown in the meantime has not been exposed to the same amount of sunlight so it has not lightened.

I don't know if I've posted this before, but at the start of ANH when Leia says she is on a "diplomatic mission" I thought she was telling the truth :p

I was into geography, maps, and the like when I was in elementary school. I thought there must be some kind of connection between Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Okefenokee swamp (in Florida, USA, planet Earth), based on their phonetic similarity and Obi's buddy Yoda's preference for swamp habitat. Spirit-Obi eventually shows up in the swamp on Dagobah, case closed!

My grandfather convinced me that Yoda was played by an actor named Jeffrey... who lived in the gopher hole under his shed out back. He told me that he'd come by and have coffee almost every morning with him... and he really did have green skin in real life... (I'm ashamed to say I believed this until just a few weeks ago...).

I always thought as a kid that when the General Dodonna says 'may the Force be with you' in the briefing room before the attack on the first Death Star that everyone of the Rebels was a Jedi....infact I'm pretty sure I argued the fact with alot of my friends before ESB came out lol

Like another user said, I thought it was Slave I (as in the letter) rather than the Roman Numeral version of 1.

I didn't think all the Rebels were, but I did think that Dodonna at least, was.

When I was really little, I thought that Alderaan was earth and that the earth was destroyed! I have no idea why I thought that.

I thought Darth Vader was the true leader, not the emperor.
I thought Kenobi was related to Luke.
I thought the force was nothing more than telekinesis, but now I know it's much more than that.

I remember thinking, why didn't they just build R2-D2 so that he spoke English like every other person in the whole galaxy? If they had done that then silly C3PO could go sit in the corner.

Alderaan looks just like Earth in the film, I think that's a fair mistake for a little kid to make (and you probably weren't the only one).

I thought that lightsabers had vaporizing powers upon killing blows. When I saw Kenobi struck down by Darth Vader's lightsaber, I thought Kenobi disappeared because the lightsaber is a powerful weapon, not because Kenobi was a Jedi.

When I was a kid, I didn't think C3PO had a function other than to be a butler to whoever owned him and to translate whatever R2D2 said. So when I saw ROTJ for the first time, and C3PO began conversing with the robot eyeball outside of Jabba's palace ("R2-day-towa... Say-thray-pay-owa"), I thought he was just speaking gibberish, which is why the eyeball got mad and went away.

Later, when he began translating for Jabba, I thought, "Since when can he speak other languages?!"

I can count myself among the many who thought Alderaan was Earth. Some kid at the school I used to go to convinced me of it. But hey, I was 7.

I thought Taun-Tauns were goats mixed with Dinosaur DNA that the Rebels created for Hoth.

I thought Obi Wan was still alive at the end of ANH and was just hiding in the back of Luke's X-Wing.

-The Emperor was hundreds of years old and used some kind of sorcery that was different from the Force
    -Jedi fought with lifesavers
-The gamorrean guards backed away from look in shock upon seeing his face (I didn't realize Luke was choking them)
-Luke threw his lightsaber into the AT-AT
    -The Ewoks were dwarf Wookiees
    -Max Reebo was half Piano
-"The Rebels are allergic to our prisms" not "The Rebels are alerted to our presence."
-Luke was going to become the Emperor's new apprentice and Vader was going to get promoted and graduate from his apprenticeship, not be killed and replaced.
-The cut off arm on the floor was Evazan's and he just had a monstrous looking arm for some reason.
    -Chewbacca was Han's pet
-Boba Fett, like Vader, would die if he took his helmet off.
