Psychologically speaking, they're two different people. But they share the same body like Jekyll and Hyde.

You're going to need to back **** up dude.

EDIT: Forgot to post what I originally meant to say re: topic.

When I was very young, I thought "ally" was the opposite of "Jedi," based on Vader and Palpatine's conversation in ESB ("a powerful ally.") I was SO confident in this, too, that I told everyone that Ally meant Evil Jedi.

    Woof.

My brother used to think that Jabba the Hutt was Obi-wan's father.

When ROJ came to theaters, I had the misconception that A- and B-Wings were "new" Rebel combat vehicles (at least the B-Wing, see above), same goes for the TIE Interceptor. ;)

Unfortunately I'm serious. I have no clue why he thought that. I don't think that he even knows.

I thought a 'comiddee' was some sort of alien. "I am NOT A COMIDDEE"

Definitely 100% thought "Lightsabers" were "Lifesavers", but that seems to be a common one.

I thought that the first Imperial ship on screen was called THE Star Destroyer (as in, that was the ship's actual name, not it's classification) which to be fair wouldn't be totally out of character for people who come up with a ''Death Star.''

That was a big puzzler for me. So the bad guys have got a weapon that destroys planets AND a Star Destroyer?

    No fair.

Unless the big triangle ship is supposed to destroy the laser moon? I was young, I really hadn't quite got to grips with the whole thing at that point.

Still waiting for one to destroy a Star.

Saw a Star Killer kill a star once. Then turn into a star itself.

Which the Death Star never was.

    What?!

    I thought of another one!
I used to think that the Death Star was the size of a star.

Technically it is - Y-Wings existed back in the Clone Wars, thanks to the newcanon, A-Wings existed about a year after the clone wars - but B-wings were still in prototype in Rebels, about 4 years before ANH. So, in the newcanon just like in the Legendsverse, B-wings are "new" compared to some of the other designs.

I was being sarcastic, after I learned that the TIE Interceptor had equally become a "prequel" vehicle to the OT in the 3rd season of Rebels.

It seems at least Gareth Edwards (director Rogue One) wants to have future audiences experience the A- and B-Wing and the TIE Interceptor as a "new" design in ROJ as they don't seem to be present in RO (according to the footage thus far released).

When I was a kiddo and ESB first came out I was about 6-7 years old... My grandpa convinced me that the "actor" that played Yoda was named Jeffrey and lived in an underground grotto accessible by a trap door in the shed in his backyard. I was so freaked out I didn't play in the backyard for 6 months. The thought of that shed still gives me the creeps... I thought "Jeffrey" was gonna come out and snatch me away.... yikes...

When I finished watching A New Hope I felt what would happen in the next movie would be that Vader comes back from exile in space to plunge the Galaxy back into conflict. The first movie was fairly conclusive so the impact of seeing the Rebels back in their redoubts was incredible. We had a full blown war on our hands this time the Rebels were losing. I found that unexpected.
