Here's the deal. We talked to Fanshawe College, and they would be willing to let us have a movie marathon. Maybe between late October to mid-December.

Now we need to know if people will come!

What we need to know: Is the weekend the best time? Do we want all 6 movies in a row with short breaks or 3 movies one day and 3 the next day. Another idea is one per-night for a week. Would people come in costume? Anything other ideas would be welcome as well.

I'll start a few polls as well.

I would think after Halloween and before Christmas shopping starts.

Since i would have to drive for 2 hours to get there I would prefer it all on one day.

Are these actual films and is it an atual theatre we would be watching the movie in?

I beleave it will be in an amphitheatre. How big of a theatre I do not know the school has been adding new wings every year. From the outside it seems to have doubled in size since I graduated.

For the move it would be a projection from a DVD. My Alumni association is talking with the student council to find out more. 'cost', 'licencing', 'availability' and so on.

I'd go... might be worth mentioning to the 501st... once it's a little more decided on perhaps?... I can post, or Alex could, to the 501st group...

I'm interested in attending. A Saturday in November would work best for me, a marathon of all 6 movies.

Go ahead and post in the 501st. I'll go and mention this in the Rebel Legion as well.

I might be interested, depending on the date.
It would be a 4 hour drive so weather might also be a factor (not that we've been getting much snow before Christmas time recently...).

No idea if it would be the old or new movie. The would be up to them.

Also I we can't show them our people are interested in this. They probably won't do it. So, to any who just reads the boards and does not post this would be a good reason to start. When you vote on the pole, you can only do it once. So we need all the support we can get.

Well I'd be greatly interested in going if it's still going to run.

Lord_Robert, any news on a date? I can't get any weekends off before Christmas at this point, but I can switch shifts (or call in sick) and there are a lot of people at work that I'm trying to get to post here....

    Here's an up date.

I just spoke with Mr. Wickett from the Fanshawe Alumni office. We are looking at Saturday November 25. This weekend is the US Thanksgiving, hopefully we could have more of our American friends join us.

Yes he does... and his costume doesn't allow him to sit either, so I'm assuming he's not coming in costume.

Yes young one. The week minded do not always understand.

So strike him down with all of your hate and your journey to the dark side will be complete.

I'll come in costume just for an excuse to wear my robe... my normal costume doesn't include one, so I'll just be a random Jedi - with some traditional Japanese fashion style. Hakama are the only "pants" I own/wear, and Jocasta is one of only a few Jedi wearing a skirt.
