I.E., CA STAR WARS NIGHT 2 - Saturday November 7th

I've been making some calls over this past week and will be doing some picture scouting next week into what may be another Star Wars Night at the Glen Avon library in Riverside.

I've been in touch with the library and Michael with the 501st. He's going to post the details on their boards and see about who can go. The library has sent him the details of what they want as well. This will take place on the first Saturday of November (the 7th)

As I get more info / pics, I will let all of you know. For those of you who made it to the one we did in Rancho in May, this one will be very similar to that. I'll be going to the library to speak with them next week and post from there.

This would give us more exposure and something to do in November. I'm very excited at the opportunity this gives us. From what advertising they're expecting to do, we should get a nice crowd indeed!

Somebody (Mikey) from the 501st is organizing that group, not us. I just makes it easier when one of them is doing it.

 

Didn't know that was our job in the first place.

Spoke with Tracie (library manager) over at the Glen Avon library today. We spoke about how things were going and giving each other updates on we've been doing, more about that later.

Mikey (501st) has posted the event on their boards and already has several sign-ups! I posted it on the RL boards for him.... it will be interesting to see how those sign-ups go. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

 

I'm going to call / meet with Mike (501st) next week and go over everything with him from what I know so far. I emailed him yesterday with the basics and link to the pics.

 

Not a soul has posted on the RL boards for this event (big shocker ), however, 5 or 6 501st members already volunteered.

Sonya and Nicole, would you throw me a bone and go ahead and post on the RL board. At least that way it's not completely empty. Thanks, ladies!

Okay, here's what we're gonna do as far as the raffle is concerned. Disregard the Clone Helmet idea (even though it's a good one), but we've got a huge lot of items to raffle.

I'm donating 25 action figs. We could make huge gift basket thingy. I went to Party City and saw this for only $10. We could put the 25 figs in here...

I bought this tonight for our raffle action figure givaway bonanza! It's a little smaller than the black one but it'll work perfect. The red is awesome as it'll match our banner - logo.
