I'm calling Tracie at the library on Monday morning to see if we can get a color PDF of the flyer. I'll get it over to you Kari when she sends it.

As far as whatever you've got for the raffle, bring it for sure. We can make up a separate basket or add it to the SW figs we've got now.

That's great about Obi-Shawn reading for this event. The book that they've got picked out is called Henny Penny by Paul Galdone. It's kinda like a chicken little story.

As far as the cars being there, assuming Obi-Shawn and Bill + Sandy can bring their cars is concerned, yes there's a spot for them. Refer to the map of library I gave you all and you'll see where it says CARS highlighted. Perfect spot for them. Kari please call Obi-Shawn to see if he can grace us with his fine automobile. Thanks

As Kari said, this event is two weeks away folks. Lots of last minute updates to follow, so stay tuned. Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible show for this. Please post if you're gonna make it to this or not so we can plan accordingly.

When:

Saturday Nov 7th from 5pm - 8pm. I'm getting there with Sheila at 3:30pm to set up table.

Where:

9244 Galena St, Riverside, CA. - (951) 685-8121. Take the 60 fwy East off the 15 fwy and go like 5 miles to Pedley. You'll turn right. Go a couple miles until you get to Galena and turn right. About 300 yards on your left will be the library. You can't miss it.

My cell number is 760-217-1850. Call me at anytime if you need anything. I'll be calling each of you personally to make sure you get a chance to read this and answer anything that wasn't on here. I also want to finalize table time. I'll post table times and anything new that may come up between now and Saturday, so stay tuned.

Please be ON TIME for this, as to give all in the group an enjoyable experience for this event. Give yourself plenty of time for parking, traffic, etc. Give yourself an hour more than you planned to.

Please wear your IEFF shirts / badges as to have us look professional and show your pride in the group. When we look like we care it'll show. If you're in costume, no need to change into IEFF shirt.

So far, here's who I've got donating for our raffle from the following businesses: 4 color fantasies comics, game crazy, US bank and I've put together a 20 action figure basket from our group, as well as a $20 gift card for Sideshow Collectables. I believe Kari has some items as well.

Please ask (suggestive sell) folks who stop by our table to enter our raffle. Tell then the more tickets they buy the better their chances of winning becomes. Ticket prices as follows: $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 7 ticket, $10 for 15 ticket. This will get them to donate more which is the whole point.

Be outgoing to the folks showing up at our table. Say hello before they do, SMILE, give them a bookmark, and tell them to go to the website and check us out, you make all the difference whether someone may join us. YOU CAN DO IT!

When you happen to talk to folks while you're milling about, tell them to go to our table and enter our raffle as well. Be excited as this is our last and final chance to raise money for the year. With the amount of goodies for our raffle and the amount of enthusiasm of group, we should do do pretty good!

 

I have the two raffle "buckets". One for the tickets and one for the cash. Were tickets ever purchased?

I plan to be there 3:30ish.

I'll go through my toy sabers after work today and let you know what I've got.

Yep, I'll bring my EZ up and the table cloth.

I think we need to see about purchasing an EZ up for the group as it's something we use at many different events.

We plan on being there around 3:15 - 3:30p.m. This past week has been a diffucult one with one car doing funny things. Bill has been using the Falcon to get back and forth to work with. She eats a lot of gas, so our finances have been depleting really fast. I hope to get the other car back up and running, and will not take a arm and several legs to fix. Will be glad to see everyone on Saturday for the activities. At least the Falcon is running great. She just needs to be cleaned.
