I.E., CA STAR WARS NIGHT 2 - Saturday November 7th

We're glad you and Bill and the Falcon will be joining us on Saturday!

 

FYI, I'm not costuming tomorrow. I'm not really feeling up to it. I think it's just the past week has stressed me out and I'm feeling rather apathetic about it. So I'll be showing up in my IEFF shirt.

 

I'm sorry you're not feeling up to dressing out, but so glad you're still coming!

 

I agree...I'm glad you're making it out. Hopefully this will take your mind off of the troubles of your week if not for a few hours at least.


I just got this done. It measures 3ft tall and 2 ft wide. It's got 25 new in box SW Action Figs for our table raffle. Hopefully this will go over well with the kiddies!

Mike, I don't know if you're making a list to post of the raffle items. Just in case you are, here's what I'm bringing:

1 Squishy Darth Vader Back Pack
Set of 8 Star Wars children's books (wrapped all together)
Books 1-4 of the Star Wars "Legacy of the Force" series (wrapped all together)

EDIT: Just got a call from Shawn confirming he'll be there with Yoda, the H-Wing and a new RL member around 4:30 along with a box of Clone Wars trading cards from Cartoon Network. Free stuff to hand out to the kiddies.

That was ridiculously fun, and thanks for letting me hang with you guys. It was funny to see the public reaction to costumers in normal life. I had never gotten to see that before. Sure Denny's is open 24 hours, but we totally closed that place down!

As i ineloquently tried to explain, having a juggler and amusing some kids for 30 mintues is one thing, but creating an experience that they keep thinking about for an entire year is something truly special.

Now i REALLY want a stormtrooper armor suit

But you do realize that now you've gotten Darth Al and I into full foxhole mode planning for Star Wars Day '10 at the RC Library.

 

Always good to get together with the gang. And as librarywalker mentioned I've already posted the thread for SW day III at RC!!! Being obsessed sure does have its moments!

 

I'm so glad you two and Jen got to join us for the event and for our night out on the town at Denny's. As you know, we only frequent the most chic of places!! I'd prefer we didn't invite the ninja's or the tweeker next time, though!

 

i thought the tweaker was the ninja!

 

She must have been changing costume or using the Force to open the door at times.

 

Another fine event for the IEFF! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it this. We raised $162 in our raffle (which went pretty good). The after event at Denny's was great too. We here in the IEFF only go to the finest in after hour establishments. I am very much looking forward to our SWN #3 in Rancho coming up next May indeed!
