Lit Star Wars Omnibus/Graphic Novels Kindle Sale

I truly envy your hardcover Dark Empire trilogy. ARGH. I got the TPB's because the hardcover was so pricey on amazon but you just made me crave it. Curse you.

 

TPBs have fractionally larger pages than the hardcovers/Omnibuses talked of here though.

 

Have all 3 Legacy HB's and the DE one. Need Thrawn and Crimson Empire.

 

This has been great. I've knocked almost everything off my list, and a few items I didn't even know I wanted, thanks to this sale. I have so many comics to buy that I just don't have the disposable funds to get physical copies, so I decided to go digital for most of them when the announcement was made about Dark Horse.

 

I wish there was more sales on the physical comics, Digital is bantha poodoo.

 

I'm planning to buy either the 3 KOTOR Omnibuses, or the 3 Legacy HCs, but not both. Which do you think is the better comic?

 

Depends what you're looking for:

• Wide-scale politics, battles and dealing with toxic past legacies - Legacy's superb.
• Characters you love and some really smart action and comedy - KOTOR gets it.

Both are utterly excellent and I'd recommend you find a way over the next 6 months to get them, but the abive might help you decide your primary target!

 

I wasn't even a huge comic-KOTOR fan but I think I liked almost everything about it better than Legacy. Except whenever anyone but Dustin Weaver did the art.

For me Legacy has a more ambitious plot but KOTOR has the characters and it's better at realising its ambitions.

 

The Jedi Covenant arc for KOTOR was amazing. Legacy is probably better overall but haven't read the Crucible arc for KOTOR. The KOTOR Omnibuses are cheaper than the Legacy HB's as well. Both are awesome. Get both!

 

I bought the Dark Empire trilogy 1 year ago. I had a feeling DH wouldn't be keeping the license so I started buying omnibuses and hardcover collections since last year.

 

Good strategy!

Not that I need it, been buying DHC trades for 15 years!
