You can now pre-order the Blu-ray sets!!

The price different between US and CAD is a little wonky ($140 US vs. $180 CAD), but I believe you can order off Amazon.com anyway. And if the dollar continues to stay around par, there won't be much of a difference.

    Is it September yet??!!![face_dancing] =P~

Awesome news and don't forget that the retail chains like Best Buy, Future Shop, Wal-Mart, etc will most likely have some sort of exclusive to get you to buy from them. Plus I would say there will be midnight release at Best Buy and Future Shop for sure as this will be a huge deal not just for Star Wars fans but most movie fans too.

Closer to the date we should plan some sort of event to go along with the release. Maybe it's a camp out if there is a midnight release because nothing says Star Wars like waiting in lines :).

Absolutely re a camp out of event for a midnight release or something like that.

We could always be pro active, and first figure which store we may be most happy to queue at, and contact them beforehand so we could maybe be part of the launch or something like that.
    What does anyone think?

    I'm certainly game.
Closer to the release date, hopefully we'll have more information. And we can make more definitive plans.

I wonder just what exactly they have to reveal, other than a list of new scenes and documentaries. It's not like SW fans aren't going to buy the BD release depending on what there is besides the saga itself.

The link to starwars.com has been having issues (because everyone is trying to get on!!), so here's the link the the tfn post, which gives a brief synopsis of the BluRay extras:

Package sounds nice and looks awesome with the Yoda for the prequels and Vader for the originals. Looking forward to the new documentaires on this set, archivel interviews from cast and crew from both sets of movies, and the old school behind the scenes makings of. Wished they did new commentaries as it looks like just the dvd ones added to this set but with some of the other new stuff it's ok this release.

Looking forward to September 16th [face_dancing].

I wonder if retailers will include any "bonuses" as incentives to buy from them. And if so, when the info will be released. I personally want my BD complete saga in a steelbook.

    9 DISCS!?!?!

Omigosh, this is exciting! I wonder what they could possibly be adding to it? Especially since they say "never before" seen.

PreludeRM, you gave me a copy of those fan documentaries Deleted Magic and Making Empire, so I wonder if they got ideas off of those kind of films to add to the official DVDs??

    Vaaarrrryyyyyyyy interesting :)
