The timing is off though. I think Ani is supposed to look obi at the time that obi looks at him.

That's how it is in the finished product.

And yes, the whole movie has been leaked.

I have no problem with Hayden actually being in the end of Jedi but there's something not quite right about that footage. I'm not saying it isn't the real deal, just that something's not right.

I love the fact that when you see Sebastian Shaw as post-crispy Anakin he now has no eyebrows. That's a welcome and very subtle change. :D

yeah, it doesn't look quite right but it's the real deal.

Wouldn't Luke be thinking, "who the hel is that guy?" :p

Yeah, definitely real, I think. Doesn't mean I like it...

The picture quality is superb, BTW. Gadzooks it'll be good to have these DVDs.

Did you know that in the Special Edition of A New Hope (and now the DVDs) that two seperate scenes where Imperial Officers are shot were modified? About 8 frames were cut from each death so as not to show the initial flames bursting from the point of impact.

    That's kinda sucky!

Yes, I did know that. There's a site hosted by TFN that lists every single Special Edition change, including some very tiny things like that, and stuff like using alternate dialogue takes and sound effects and stuff. Some of it will surprise you. I can't remember the address of the site. It's linked to off TFN somewhere.

    EDIT: Here it is: http://www.theforce.net/swse/

Jut finished watching ROTJ and there's only really two changes, Anakin at the end and Naboo in the celebration.

The Rankor does look a lot better but all they've done is re-composite him (no more black out-lines).
Leia's speech about her mother is unchanged and yoda is stil a puppet.

There may be some more subtle changes that I didn't notice, I'll wait until the actual DVD comes out before I watch it again though.

I'm sure it's just a bad screen capture. He'll probably look alot better on DVD on your big screen TV! :D

EDIT: Just going back through the initial pages of this thread and finding myself quite amused. All the people who thought the DVD changes (especially Hayden appearing in Jedi), were a load of rumoured crap.

Oh, I just love being right! :D :p

    -= ROTS SPOILER AHEAD=-

Brace yourselves people... I've heard a snippet of the ROTJ DVD commentary. where lucas says:

"Later on, as we get to the end of the movie, as he joins the Force, he is able to retain his original identity. It is because of Obi-Wan and Yoda, who learned how to do that, join the Force and retain your identity -- but it was his identity as he was when he died as Anakin Skywalker ."

    The new jabba rocks!! :D

Its 100X better than the SE. You can tell when han steps on his tail, that Jabba is pissed. You can tell Jabba is happy when Hans says that he'll give him a little extra. The new Han/Greedo scene is alot better than the WIP vid. Do yourselves a favor and watch it!!

Meh, Han and Greedo only looks a tiny bit less crappy than it did back in the '97 release. Curse you, Lucas.

McDiarmid looks great as The Emperor, though. And is it just me, or have Vader's lines in that scene been re-dubbed too? The inflection just sounds different to me, though, admitedly, it's a while since I've watched ESB. The line where he talks about Luke possibly being turned does seem to have a bit more of a note of longing to it, which is interesting. Maybe I'm wrong, but they do sound as though they've either been re-recorded or had different takes used to the original release.

I thought that was just a rumour and Rick McCallum shot it down? I have a vague recolection of it happening either in an interview or an "Ask the Jedi Council" question on the OS.
