Nah I was thinking in the vein of Apocalypto. Gets chased around by a bunch of insane storm troopers and one of them gets killed by an angry Ewok. Have one scene where Chewie and a bunch of his Wookie comrades are getting sacrificed by Palpatine.

Will we get Bill Cosby as Case/Face/Lace/Chase/Brace Windu?

Lobot Commando: Michael Fassbender IS Lobot. Who he is and how he came to have smart phones fused to his temples.

Who's the Bossk? Bossk and TV's Alf explore the Galaxy looking for booze and tail. Not for the squeamish.

Private First Class Veers: Michael Fassbender IS PFC Veers. Sgt. Ozzel gives him grief like, constantly.

Imagine all of the movies you could get from Yoda's life.

Got to be a young Han Solo movie s). With no EU input, with trying to give him a tenuous to royalty (cringe) he's a street kid and that's that! ;p Imagine the mad stuff a young Han, Chewie and Lando would have cotton up to? Rock n' Roll!

The ST does indeed need the Fass in it. Use the Fass!

I would love to see the Darth Plagueis novel adapted.

I think its a bad idea. If the movies are going to continue the ongoing Skywalker saga rather than books or comics, this is exactly the place where the other mediums of storytelling should fit in. We have an excellent backstory to Darth Sideous and Plaguies in the Luceno novel. The two Han Solo trilogies are also some of the best literature in Star Wars.

I find that backstories often work better as novels than films. I would rather see the films move the series forward, rather than simply giving background.

And I can almost guarantee that the Yoda film will happen, though I would prefer his background to remain a mystery. I would also get really annoyed with his way of talking for two hours straight.

Yoda can't have a different voice. That would be even more annoying.

While the idea does sound fun, i gotta say i'd rather they keep Yoda and Palpatine's backstory as much as mystery as possible. Sometimes not knowing and letting imagination fly is a lot of fun.

Han, based on his book trilogy, would be pretty neat. That's EU i actually enjoy still. Kenobi i'm a huge fan of, so i'd love to see more of his padawan years... maybe this stuff could be animated? it would be weird to have an origin story for Han and Obi-Wan and not have the actors that played them.

We could also have..."adventures of" rather than "Origins"...or the evil alternative

I think back round movies for characters are great. I would love to see a Han movie or a Mace Windu movie. I think Yoda's past should remain
a mystery though. Not everything needs to be explained.

I have a few concerns about this approach.

    1) Over-saturation could take away from the films.
    2) Some characters are better with mystery surrounding their origins (Yoda, etc.)
    3) Recasting actors can get ugly fast.

Overall I think we will see spin-off films. As long as they are treated properly they can be done well. It's okay to have things like a bounty hunter film, or an animated three parter of the Thrawn trilogy, or maybe an animated Rebels vs. Empire series, but once you start watering down main characters I think you may cheapen Star Wars.

No way. If they tracked down the dude that did Bruce Lee's lines in Chinese Connection, they would be aces.

I'll preface this by saying I agree completely with your concerns. That being said:

    1) Gonna happen so we might as well embrace it.
    2) Money will kill all mystery
    3) Disney couldn't care less

Well EU pretty much has covered the origins of every single charecter in great detail except for Yoda. I would hate to see a Star wars origins movie becasue it would just ruin the saga for so many people.
