has anyone seen any? I've been told theres a 'JEDI N8' driving around christchurch. Also heard of a black Commodore in Wellington with 'VADER'.

If you've seen any, post them here! might give me some inspiration when I get mine :)
I want something like 'X W1NG', but its probably already gone. What would you get?

You could always have something simple like CHANS1 and then underneath have the additional line say Star wars Collector Extrordinaire. :D

Of course you could get one of these Star Wars Plates instead - they're not Personalized, but you can get signed ones. ;)

A personal bug-bear of mine is people whose personalised plate is just the make/model of the actual car they drive. I don't know why this irks me so much, but it does.

Actually, I hate personalised plates. For every genuinely funny one there are about 10 really stupid or incomprehensible ones.

As one of my friends said, they all spell "******".

    Quite ...

Some particularly annoying ones I've seen recently....

    EARNED (on a new BMW .... ******!)
4NIC8R (kids, ask your parents ...)
    HOTLVR

I can't think of any more, but I'm going to have to start writing the annoyng ones down from now on.

If you really want silly, try those fools who buy plates as an "investment" (many don't even go on a car!) - that's about as silly as buying Star Wars toys as an "investment". :(

Only a complete fool pays $1000's of dollars for a license plate! [face_plain]

Star wars model kits are an o.k investment, I got 2 on E-bay that are no longer produced paid about $80 including postage for them one is now worth $150 - 200 and the other is worth around $60 thats a pretty good return on a 30 day investment.

The weird thing about those investment plates is that you don't actually buy the plate. You pay your huge amount of money for the title or deed to the plate, and if you want the actual plate, you still have to pay extra for it.

I suspect that the bottom may have dropped out of the investment plate boom though. I remember some years ago the plate "1" went for hundreds ot thousands of dollars. You don't hear about plates selling for anything like that anymore.

But, yes, stupid investment for people with more money than sense.

sorry, a few days late but I have an excuse. Anyhoo - I've seen the "A Wing" Number plate. It's on an Mazda MR2 up here in Auckland.

MR2's (if you squint your eyes) can almost look like an A-Wing :p

edit = Also I've seen "Trooper" on an Isuzu Trooper, so I guess that's not SW orientated. :p

or maybe "Troopa" or was it "trupa" or "troopa" cause "trooper" is too long. I forget.
