CE16 Star Wars Pins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay, the celebration pins have just been announced,
and

(drum roll)

they're the cute emojis from the Star Wars App :-O
Have any of you guys collected these before? Are they worth getting and any idea about what the price normally is for the early bird set?

I think they look pretty cool and will certainly be trying to get them all as a reminder of the event!!

 

I was thinking about getting them as a souvenir, possibly to trade if I saw better pins there, but $45 (£30) for the set & a shirt I don't really want has put me off.

 

Yh i know thats silly money for that tbh!! I wanted to buy two sets to do the trading and all that, but ive opted to get just one set as a souvenir i cant believe i paid for that though tbh!

 

Yeah I want them a lot but they do cost a lot, Really want though.

 

Oh wow, they are too expensive! I'd be more interested in a Celebration pin with one of the images from the poster.

 

and i want the shirt (so i can wear it for my Wear Star Wars Every Day charity fundraiser), and am not interested in the pins. we should talk!

Soon as I saw the price I was like hell no.

This is the problem, they want to do this swapping collecting business which sounds fun, but if you have kids for example that's a lot of money to pump into something that is meant to be "fun".

Disney should give these out IMO or make the set say £10 available there and maybe limit them per day. Give something to the fans hell it's already cost £120 just to get in so far! (inc t-shirt and laynard).

 

Didn't get the first set, I might pick up the second set as my wife is a big BB-8 & Chopper fan so I think she'd like those pins and that would give me 2 to trade at the convention (tbh the only one I'd really be interested in is TFA Luke if they do him).

Mostly though I'm just dreading what they'll do to the store queue after reading the horror stories from last year.

 

What did they do last year?

 

If I remember they sold different pins in the store each day so it was always mobbed by pin collectors. Basically is just increased the issues with the store being insanely busy because the put different pins out each day so pin collectors had to go every day

 

Droid set is up!

 

Jabba is going to be available at the Think Geek stand and nien numb and Rex will be for trade at fantasy flight and anovos respectively

 

Hey i got two of the droid sets so i will have a spare shirt!!

 

I bought the Droid set - gotta have R2 & BB8 !

 

Bought both sets but with one t shirt XL and one L

 

Anyone know if there is going to be a special souvenir trophy hunt type thing like the previous Celebrations had?

I have my Galactic Passport & stamps from CE1 & my Jabba's Most Wanted medal coin from CE2.
I hope they'll do something similar for this event

Anyone know how much the pins in the celebration store are? When they start letting people in I'm gonna head there right away. I wanna get ahsoka, ani and finally the ghost crew

 

They're £20 I think? £12 for a box of two blind pins.

 

Wow, I might get a blind pin set then if ahsoka isn't in there Ill get her. I should be able to feel the shape though right?

 

No they come in a box which is handed to you!
