I have tried the very same thing. the only problem is Vader (H). with the prevention LS can runs, he most likely will do you more harm than good.

You are so right! That's why I've narrowed down the number of Vader (H)'s I have in my deck, so I don't slaughter my own units. Executor (A) on the other hand, is still a great card. No drawbacks.

Well, no drawbacks except the large build (I agree that it is a great unit though).

I also run Vader/Piett (C). Works wonders for me. Marauder Corvettes, Yinchorris, asteroids, plus Modified YV-330, Vader's TIE, and Infiltrator for back-up. So far I've lost space once.

There's plenty of ways to win, though. My bombard deck uses Tatooine Hangars to get out Star Destroyers for mega-cheap, and that works well.

In my maul deck I have had quite a bit of success running:
    4 TIE Interceptor
    4 Droid Starfighter DFS-1VR
    2 IG-2000 (A)
    1 Virago (A)
    2 Millennium Falcon (C)
    4 Endor Imperial Fleet
