A/V STAR WARS REBELS (show's over, spoilers allowed)

Le Morte D'Arthur always struck me as a very spoiler-y title. It's like the medieval equivalent of John Dies at the End.

Hey, Anakin Skywalker and his old grudges died beside that lava trench! He was surprised Obi-Wan was still breathing, when they met on Death Star.

 

Did they say when the Rebel episode premiered at the Anaheim would be released to everyone else?

 

I think "Summer" is as specific as anyone knew for the premiere, with the rest of the season following in "Fall".

 

Noooooo! That's so irritating. Not so much the wait, but the fact that its bound to get spoiled somehow.

 

Barris will probably get redeemed because filoni thinks rehashing every scene, line, and concept in the films is the way to get fans to like you rather than being bold and introducing something new

 

Yeah, and did you notice all the blasters and spaceships in the trailer? God, Filoni, be original for once.

Yeah, it's pretty much been spoiled already. But from what I've seen, it's nothing that couldn't be inferred from the trailer.

 

It will be interesting to keep a count of OT characters vs Prequel characters vs TCW characters that appear in Rebels.

To me that trailer screams TCW 2.0, but that could be deceiving/hype making things seem more important than they are.

 

I'd rather it be Rebels Season 2. Not TCW season whatever. Some characters are fine but give me a break.

 

There are five TCW-specific characters who have appeared in Rebels thus far, counting the new trailer. Five. Hondo, Ahsoka, Rex, Wolffe and Gregor. Our of a cast of well over 30 named characters that we currently know of across the entire series. Everyone else came from the movies or Rebels itself. I guess that qualifies it for being TCW 2.0 all right.

 

And watch the clones just be one arc out of the 22-ep season. I mean, I don't imagine their cool AT-TE base will fit on the Ghost.

 

It qualifies it as being EVERYTHING STAR WARS. Seriously - this show ties in everything like nothing before could have.

 

I mean, there's one rather large spoiler that you wouldn't get from the trailer, (which I am very emotional about), concerning something that happens in the first half of the episode.

 

I understand and prefer the Dark Side to be impotent in the face of love.

 

I completely understand that argument that, in general, you want to keep cameo's to a minimum. But the cameos in Rebels have been consistently excellent. If that trend continues there won't be too much to complain about.

 

I find it odd that people say things like "TCW continuation or TCW 2.0" as if it was somehow not great and relieving

 

Well, it's problematic if you think the Ghost crew is about 20% cooler.

 

We have seen what 5 TCW characters calm down.

 

Just saying that I want Rebels to stand on its own two feet.

 

Having only seen the first season of TCW... I can safely say that having no prior knowledge hasn't really affected my enjoyment of this series a bit. It's prompted me to go back and check out TCW, though.
