It's great that she cares so much about Star Wars, and saying Hera's possibly her favorite role, when she's done Wonder Woman and Black Widow, is awesome. Can't wait to see how this show develops, and Hera looks to be very promising.

I found this looking for a good scene of her from JO.

She knows who Jan Ors is.

Yeah, I know that doesn't mean much on what's going to be in Rebels. It's cool, that's all.

She had me at "I wanted to be Princess Leia forever and ever."

And Hera is "strong willed and nurturing"? [face_love] If the talk has any truth in it, I may love the show just for Hera.

I was able to forgive Marshall for praising Ahsoka and Mara given how awesome the rest of that interview was.

"I do train with an MMA fighter, and have studied both French and Thai kickboxing. So from a physical standpoint, I do enjoy pushing the limits in combat. I find it really empowering. It also keeps my life quite interesting! (laughs) I don’t fight crime, and I’m truly non-violent, but I do understand the combat scenes a little better!"

    This

"Marshall: Yeah, she wrote back, “well Hera is calm, collected, and holds everyone together when they’re about to fall apart – that perfectly describes you!” It’s a good fit, and I’m very grateful."

    Follow by this

"Marshall: (laughs) exactly! 12 parsecs. We bow to Han Solo, ladies and gentlemen."

And this. My conclusion is this person is awesome :D She collects the new Star Wars figures, trains with an MMA fighter and co-pilots with her Dad. Equally as cool is Hera is the heart and backbone of the group and keeps the group focus and emotionally stable. We need more of those.

Also I think that last quote I included demonstrates that the Rebels characters aren't trying to one up the Original characters.

Oh man now I'm nostalgic for that game....it's a shame there isn't an hd collection of the Jedi Knight series

    I prefer this bit:
Also the bit about piloting, the part about girls and action figures, and well -- all of it.

It is nice to actually be optimistic about SW for once :p

Good news continuity-wise: as can be seen in a preview of Star Wars Insider 148, Zeb Orrelios from Rebels is indeed a Lasat and not a member of a whole new species that is suspiciously identical to another existing one. Looks like they sometimes do their research after all.

Or even worse: full name Sabine Siri Kryze-Kenobi. That one would give me a stroke.
Sabrine Wren. Mh. Any relation to Lavina Wren?

That is great news. Such an insignificant little detail becomes very important in these days of EU pessimism.

Also from that article: is Jar-Jar getting a love interest? It's probably a case of unfortunate phrasing, but it would be amazing if it weren't.

Alternate interpretation: this is what TCW would've looked like without George in the way.

You mean without the sworn enemy of the EU, m- Filoni. Thanks Filoni.

    Oh wait he's involved.

This bit of the interview is interesting:

While many Twi’leks have been enslaved, Hera is not a dancer. She is an ace pilot, a supreme fighter, perhaps approaching the Twi’lek Jedi Master Aayla Secura, who fought in the first battle of Geonosis, as we know. Obviously, Hera’s not a Jedi, but you see that Twi’leks have the capacity to fight, and fight very well. So she’s in that category.

So Aayla's a Jedi Master now?

I like that when Stover used to post here, he'd generally preface what he said by detaching himself from a position of authority.

Yes. The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia had her ascending to that rank during the Clone Wars. (BTW, I find it interezsting that she said "first battle of Geonosis!" She seems to know her Star Wars quite well.)

Maybe they can hire her for the LFL Story Group as well, she knows a good deal of EU.
