I always forget Sato exists. I kinda want the most over-dramatic death ever for him. Like no one will care but they play it super sad. Ezra carries his body off the top of that ISD all the way to the Ghost a la Scotty from Wrath of Khan. They are all crying and then Ezra is like "oh by the way Zeb is dead or something, but SATOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO". Then when the fight Thrawn they are like "this is for what's his face Samo or whatever"

I find all this "will Thrawn kill somebody" stuff distasteful. He could have an enormous military victory without happening to kill a named character, just like he could lose horribly but still happen to kill someone. Death isn't the only metric that matters.

Thrawn already killed that poor factory worker and it didn't make him more badass. Just more scummy.

Well, I think there's an argument that there would be a lot more narrative weight to the death of a named character than a victory where he merely blows up yet more nameless A-Wing pilots. But yeah, it's still kind of distasteful.

Yeah but character death helps build or emphasis stakes. For instance season one of Daredevil did not need to kill Ben Urich to make the final showdown that was to come, more dramatic. However by doing that they showed just how big this final showdown was going to be and how serious things where getting. Violence should have consequences on both sides. Death is an effective way of showcasing that fact.

Yeah, but killing a saboteur with their own sabotaged equipment is pretty ...... artistic :p ( I had to)

I liked it, it was pretty poetic evil. The perfect kind of evil for Thrawn to be dishing out.

I mean, just as a logistical matter--the main cast of this show is the Ghost crew. In other words, they're the crew of one specific ship. It's totally possible (though, yes, unlikely) that they all spend the entire battle on the Ghost, in the midst of an entire Rebel fleet. The odds that he'd kill someone on that particular ship without killing all of them are not high, nor should they be.

I quite agree my fine fellow. Quite distasteful in the extreme! I say, our dear Chiss isn't one to muddy his own hands in such affairs. Good heavens no. That's far beneath him. He'll have his underlings pull the trigger, just like any respectful sort of gent.

Maul said he wanted an apprentice. But in his most unguarded moments, when Savage was injured, he always reverted to calling him brother or Savage. I honestly think that his relationship with Savage was one of Maul's few redeeming features. The way he cries "Brother" when he sees Sidious impale Savage and the way he runs straight past his old Master to his brother's side is a truly touching moment.

To be fair we have already seen them split up what with Ezra and Sato leading an attack on an ISD. It is reasonable that they might have to split up seeing as this battle is many fronts. Space and ground and ground in space I guess on Atollon as well as space and likely ground on Lothal. My guess is if they do what someone to die they will just have them stay behind on Atollon or be on the surface of Lothal or the driveyard there. Plenty of ways to get people off the ship in a multi pronged attack. I don't want someone to die necessarily but I think it can very likely be done super well what with Thrawn being hyped up so much and being such a big threat.

I don't think Thrawn needs to kill any of the main cast to be an effective villain.

It would add to his threat and up the stakes on a personal level for the main crew, but it's not necessary.

Sometimes, however, it is necessary for characters to die. Like in Rogue One, or Thrawn in his eponymous trilogy.

Star Wars fans seem to very much be either/or when it comes to character death. There's a happy middle and I hope Rebels can find it.

So the show's promotional advertising is similarly distasteful, yes?

A bit of the cliche answer at this point but I still put money that Zeb's first to go.

Kanan and Ezra are probably going to the Unknown Region in Season 4.

    Sabine got her Mando stuff.

And Hera is already locked in.

Has there been anything that actually supports them going to the Unknown regions? People keep stating that like it's a given.

Yes, but I don't really like anything about how this show is promoted.

No, but considering all Rebels season connect to the movie in some form, plus a painting of Ashoka and the converse were released for celebration panel. That's what people are basing it on.

Wow that is possibly the flimsiest basis for prediction since Rey kenobi.

I don't know anything about it so how is the show promoted?

The TV spots are (mostly) obnoxious and spoilery, the EW pieces shouting "Yoda next week!!" are obviously even more spoilery, and the clips both over-hyping the Maul/Obi duel, f.e., and revealing basically 80% of what actually happens so I have to spend the whole week watching Twitter out of the corner of my eye are worst of all.

But all that said, Rebels doesn't need to advertise to me. I'm not the target for any of that stuff, so while it bugs me much of the time, I don't bring it up a lot because it's at least as much my own problem as it is theirs. Ultimately I learned to just stop watching most of the stuff they release ahead of time.

I mean i could be wrong but if trends, little tidbits and evidence from other Tie-In material says anything that's my best bet.

Heck even the Zero Hour trailer Hera says and I quote "Family's back together again." someone always says that before a separation that's story tropes 101

I feel like if anything "Twin Suns" dealt a MAJOR blow to the "Ezra goes off to the Unknown Regions" theory.

Ezra just left and realized that was wrong. Arcs come before vague supposed trends. Him saying that lends more to someone possibly dying.Having connections to the films does not really mean characters will randomly head off and betray an arc they just had. TFA had just the cross guard. it can easily just be casino planet or space horse introduced. maybe Battle Puffins. That and half of Ezra's lines are just stating obvious facts for the kids watching so him saying everyone is back is there just to show that everyone is back cause Ezra loves point out stuff that's right in front of us.

In Legends, the entire habitable area of Tatooine was very small. The rest of the planet was too hot to sustain life.

Why would he go off into the Unknown Regions? Are we still on the weird idea he has to die or leave because he's a Jedi?
